Description of Work: I noticed a problem inside my tiled shower stall where the tiles looked like they were sinking in and the caulking was crumbling. A friend of mine looked at it and said it was probably something going on behind the wall and to call a plumber. I called Marcum's Plumbing. Larry Marcum, the owner, asked me what I knew about the age of the plumbing, if the shower stall had been renovated and if so, when. He also asked if any other type of work was being performed on any other area of the property. I answered his questions and we set up an appointment for later that day as he suspected a problem with the shower pan. Upon arrival, his employee was able to literally push the lower tiles into the wall thus showing that the walls behind the tiles were wet. Upon further inspection it was determined that the previous homeowner had installed the wrong type of material and that over time it stopped being watertight. He called Larry who in turn called me and told me what my options were. We decided to remove the bottom 4 rows of tiles all the way around including the floor tiles and install the newest type of wallboard and a new shower pan. This would include having to remove my shower doors and an existing tile shelf inside the shower used for sitting. He also recommended a tile contractor who was in my area that would match my existing tiles. The next day he sent me an estimate and called me to review it. I was comfortable with the price especially since most of the work was labor intensive. The tile contractor contacted me and we exchanged photos of my existing tile. Once I agreed to do the work, Larry took the time to schedule not only his employees but also coordinated the work with the tile contractor. This was a great help to me as I work during the day and am not always available to take calls. We made arrangements to have someone be at my house and the work started. It took approximately one week from start to finish and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! From the first day of demolition, when I could see all that had been going on behind the walls, I could tell this was the right way to proceed. When my shower doors were removed, they did so carefully and placed them in an area, covered, where they would not be disturbed. The bathroom was clean every day when I came home from work and that really impressed me because it was one extra step they took to ensure that I was inconvenienced as little as possible. When it came time to install the new tiles, the tile contractor showed me pictures of some natural stones that could be used on the floor to add some custom features as other parts of the shower stall already included some. I had not thought about it previously but liked the idea and went with it. It made a beautiful floor and really added to the new look, as we had also agreed to remove the tiled shelf. What I liked most about the experience was the communication and thoughtfulness on behalf of Larry Marcum. He is a professional with a lot of knowledge about plumbing and the construction industry as well. I can and do recommend him for anyone looking for a fantastic plumber!

Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet, moved well equipment, repaired water heater, cleaned drain / sewer. Replaced six valve stems in bathroom faucets, replaced main water cut off valve.

Description of Work: Put in vanity with plumbing that had to be moved, put on new valves in the whole house, put in a new main shut of lever at front of our house.
