The details are that the crew showed up on time. Finished in less than a full day. Cleaned up after themselves (no big mess). Used shoe covers like pros do. Acted like grown-ups, they are. Communicated personally and professionally. Showed us how to use the new Thermostat, we love. Steve Ruud, one of the owners stopped by during the installation. He did the proposal we embraced We have not had to call for a service. Once the unit was turned on April 6, 2016 it not only has kept working. While it was not promised, the unit is working so much more quietly, we can hardly hear it and no longer have to turn up the TV audio to override the sound of the air conditioning unit. Bravo. We also are already noticing the unit does not have to run as often. Further the two step turn on, ensures we use less power. We are seeing our electricity costs dropping too.

It was very good. I bought a service contract with them. They stayed in touch and stayed on top of things. They just didn't do one thing for me. The service contract costed $175 and the work costed about probably $100. They could have responded much earlier to my question about the part that was needed. They sent out two technicians. One was for one day and one was for the other day. They were both fine.

Justin arrived on time and was very polite and professional. He performed the cleaning of our AC unit. I am very happy with everything he did.

The unit that was installed was not the greatest, and they acknowledged that they had problems with it.

Jimmy was very punctual and professional (as has been my experience with every technician at this company).

Amazing customer service - was prepared to come fix the problem within the hour, but it wasn't neccessary

everything went well until compressor fan would not come on, they stayed and waited for a new fan to be delivered and even had a portable airconditioner delivered in case that they could not fix the problem that day. I was very impressed with there forethought. We did have some minor problems with condensation leaking from the air handler, some dry wall damage in the ceiling. All these issues were completed with just some minor delays. But the job was well done, excellent!

The Tech, Luis Garcia, called me twice to give me updates of when he would arrive, he then arrived on time. He was very courteous, seemed knowledgeable, and performed his duties in a professional manner. Keep in mind this is on a Sunday afternoon. He diagnosed my A/C problem, bad switch in the compressor unit, replaced the faulty part, and I was up and running. He discussed with me on how to maintain my unit, such as switching the air filter, keeping debris away from the outside unit, etc. We then discussed Island's annual maintenance agreement for $175. To give me peace of mind and discounts on future service, I purchased the agreement. Pleased with the entire Island visit.

Fantastic! This company is one of the best service providers I have ever found. If you're looking for help with your A/C system, stop right here and call Island A/C... It's as good as it gets.

Upon arriving in FL, I was hit with 80 degree temps inside our condo, and rising fast. I called and Carolyn sent out a tech. He couldn't get it going, so called in a 2nd tech. Steve explained what had happened and rigged something up to make it work for our pending guests' arrival. He explained we needed 2 compressors, ordered them & scheduled an install for the following week. Luis & James came the next week and worked for hours (in the heat, on the bldg. roof) to get things working. I could not be happier with the quick response, professionalism and pleasant attitudes of everybody at Island Air Conditioning. I won't be looking anywhere else to service my A/C ever again! Thank you to everybody!

Red and James were awesome!!! Very friendly, the company kept us informed of arrival time, and both employees were very polite. Red knows her stuff...showed me parts of our unit that I had not seen and neglected. It was a simple repair but both workers were very thorough to look for leaks and other problems at my request.

After purchasing through Angie's list I spoke with Carolyn who quickly scheduled for Jimmy to come out to my home. Jimmy is AWESOME! He looked over the a/c unit and performed all of the items/tasks I paid for beforehand with the special. He was honest and trustworthy and just an overall great representative of this company. I truly appreciate his and their professionalism and the customer service. If only all company's were like this. After using other company's in the past, I will definitely use them again. I highly recommend them if you're on the fence of who to use.

This was an annual service for our eight year old HVAC system. Technician was thorough and took his time to do the job properly. Two parts of the system were worn and needed to be replaced asap. The cost was not too horrendous and if it keeps the system running throughout the hot Florida summer then it's money well spent!!!! Great job by a great company. ??

Excellent, scheduled appointments with Renee who worked the service to be performed over a weekend to meet my schedule. Work performed efficiently and on time. Unfortunately, several days later one of the units failed requiring expensive repairs. Renee worked out the repairs, which took several days, and said that it would be done on a complementary basis because I am a new contract customer and they want the relationship to start on the right footing. I am a big fan and these people are all about service and relationships.

Excellent; I was given a service window of between 2- 4 and serviceman arrived at 3:30! Jim, was neat clean , very polite and professional. and the best part, my unit is all set for summer - no worries!

I had called Island A/C 3 years ago to quote out a new A/C system. I liked Steve, the owner, immediately. At that time I decided not to replace but to wait.. After 17 years our A/C finally failed.. I called Steve to come out.. He remembered me.. Quoted a new system..I didn't even get other bids.. I trusted him. 3 days later the crew came out to install. The installers where nice and respectful. They came on time and finished within the time frame I had been told. They cleaned up all of their work, even swept the driveway of any debris. Thanks Steve and Island A/C!!

Knowledgable. Good price. Got my currenter system up and running again at no charge. Will definitely use them when replacing my unit.

The only company that we used for heating and AC was Island Air. They are due to come out next week to do a service. The service was perfect, they did it 2 years ago.

Jimmy arrived on time, and listened to me describe the problems we were having with water leaks from our air conditioner. He got right to work inspecting the entire system, and found the cause of both leaks. The air unit is old, neglected, and needs to be replaced. We purchased the house on short sale and knew we were in for some major and minor repairs. I told Jimmy we knew we were going to need a new air conditioning unit, but could not afford one quite yet. Jimmy removed some insulation near the air filter that was water logged and useless, and advised us of what to do to keep the leaking under control. He also caulked around a duct that was leaking cool air and therefore causing a condensation leak in the garage attic. Jimmy was very knowledgeable, professional, and went well above expectations to help me out with these leaks till we can gather some more funds to have Jimmy come back in the near future to replace the whole air unit. I highly recommend Jimmy and Island Air Conditioning.

I replaced my unit 2 years ago (I think) with Island air and just referred them to a family friend this month to replace his unit. We were both very satisfied with them on all counts. Going forward, we will recommend them to everyone we know. Good service and honesty (so rare) has to be rewarded!

I called Friday morning to request an appointment and was thrilled to hear they would be able to make it on the same day. I missed a call from Island Air that same afternoon at 5:04 pm . The rep left a voice message advising that their technician was ready to come over but needed to hear confirmation from me. The voice message indicated I should call the technician directly since the office was closing. I was driving so twenty minutes later when I got a hold of the technician, he said the office told him to wait 10 minutes and move on. He said was on his way to another appointment and was done for the day. I expressed my dissatisfaction with them not keeping the appointment. Had I known they may not make it I would have called other companies. In fact, had I known they needed further confirmation from me I would have paid more attention to my phone. The technician advised me to call the emergency line which I did and left a message but so far no response. He also mentioned he would try to contact the technician on emergency but I did not hear back from anyone. I am left with a faulty AC over he weekend and disappointed and frustrated with the disservice.

This is our second service call with this company in a month. (We had two different a/c units fail, two separate repairs.) Both of our experiences with Island Air Conditioning were outstanding. The technicians came to assess our problem promptly. Parts were ordered, and installed sooner than I expected. The installations were done professionally. I've now interacted with four of the company's technicians, and there is a consistent professionalism about this company's people and way of doing business that is rare and refreshing. All four technicians were respectful, clean, professional, and very capable. I felt completely comfortable with them working in our house. Also, the company's office staff assisted us in getting a substantial portion of both repairs covered by warranty. They were conscientious about doing this, and saved us almost $800. Based on my experience with these last two service calls, I decided to set our systems up onto their scheduled preventative maintenance plan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.
