Chris Carr of Hurricane Proof was great to work with in understanding the objectives, recommending alternatives and scheduling the work. The two people who worked on the job were also very personable and professional in their work. The cost was about the same as a competitive bid. For this project, they also rigged a way to insert a dog access door which I can remove/install as needed depending on the weather (this was done on a per-hour fee). They were creative in figuring out a way to make this work. All inspections passed. The only minor complaint is it was originally estimated to take 3 days, but it took longer which resulted in some last minute juggling to get time away from work.

Chris Carr who is the owner was great!! He had the best price on the product that I purchased. He was very professional, finished the job on time and was great to work with. I would highly recommend hurricane proof to anyone looking for hurricane proof products.

They were very professional, we liked them. It was pretty expensive. They were late but they called us.

My experience with them was good. It was very professional. I did not use them because I live in a development where the home owner association controls anything you do to the exterior of your house, and they did not like the drawing of the design. They were very professional and prompt. That is a winner down here in south Florida. Folks do not tend to show up on time. They came with lots of literature. I believe it was one of the co-owners of the company that came and gave me the estimate. I was impressed with that, but I was just not able to complete the job.

Chris Carr personally came out and gave us an estimate for window protection. He had exceptional ratings on Angie?s List and was even referred to us by another vendor for an unrelated contracting job. Mr. Carr provided us with an extremely reasonable quote for accordion shutters on the entire rear of the home and clear louvered panels for second story windows. In the end, my wife and I chose another form of window protection. Nonetheless, we would definitely refer Mr. Carr and Hurricane Proof to other people considering window protection for their homes. He exhibited a great professional demeanor and knowledge of his craft.

Working with Chris Carr, at Hurricane Proof, made a very expensive investment a very good decision. He took his time and answered all our questions and the final product looks and works great.
