Description of Work: I had purchased a Big Deal for an interior design consultation. Marilyn came out and was very knowledgeable, punctual, and had many nice recommendations of things to do throughout the whole home. I look forward to continuing to work with her and was happily surprised with her overall detail to my tastes in regards to her recommendations for my home.

Description of Work: She came over and helped me determine the proper placement of and type of outdoor furnishings that would enhance my pool area.

Description of Work: Redesigned Media room. Shopped for granite, hardware and tile for future projects.Media room came out beautiful and was done while I was away over the summer.

Description of Work: She was accusatory when there was confusion on HER end, that we called Angies list to complain. We did not make a call. She promised a professional color pallet and cut pieces from a Lowes type paint strip and handed my wife 7 pieces of paper. We asked for an account of time based on the $1500 retainer, which has yet to be provided. Accused us of going behind her back when changing an order between a blinds supplier and us. Our money, our signature and we cannot talk to them without her permission? Statements of at least a 40% savings when using her suppliers. Went to a tile store of her choosing...same price for everyone. $1500.00 flushed. |Oh, and in order to continue the 'project' she wants another $2000.00. |Stay clear.

Description of Work: Tried to convince me to use her service to order window treatments and painting.

Description of Work: I thought she was going to do something, but this was just a consultation to let me know what services she would provide (for more money) and to find out what I wanted done. In essence it was for the conversation we had over the phone, I saw no point in meeting her since that was all she was going to do anyway. I was interested in staging and her price for that was $1500.

Description of Work: Although very professional and personable, I didn't really get the designer help I was hoping for.

Description of Work: Marilyn provided us with a solid 2 hours of advice on how to decorate our house. Marilyn was professional and charming, and advised not just on colors, styles and accessories, but also on furniture placement. We will definitely contact Marilyn for future interior decorating advice.

Description of Work: We did a big renovation in the home by removing all the wallpaper and popcorn ceilings, redoing the master bathroom and replacing all the window treatments and fans. The designer scheduled all appointments with the sub-contractors who were very professional and capable people. The designer came with us to help select the paint for the home, the tiles and border for the bathroom, the fans, the granite, and was always very responsive when we contacted her. Description of Work: I was supposed to receive a "professional" interior room design. Instead, when she came to present the results, since she had not measured on the first visit, the ideas did not work. Nor was there anything in writing. She hastily scribbled ideas on a piece of graph paper. Not worth the money at all.

Description of Work: I bought Marilyn's big deal. I have a condo that needed some freshening up and repair. I explained I would have to do this project in 3 stages. We discussed how to proceed and decided the to begin w the entry, LvR, and DR and guest Bathroom.. Marilyn was very willing to allow me to express my preferences and we decided on colors and a certain look. She contacted Brent Miller her "painter" and we set a schedule up. When Brent arrived to meet me the next week...he pointed out a number of repairs that needed attending to and he also told me we could "Save" the vanity in my Guest Bathroom by "graining" it. I agreed to all and he gave me a price. He actually spray painted all my old aluminum vents white so we could avoid purchasing plastic vent covers. Brent is quite personable and is not rattled when a problem arises! When all was done I was very pleased. Marilyn also gave me ideas on accessorizing my LvR. and did this based on what my budget could accommodate at this point. She also looked at all my paintings, pictures etc. suggesting where these would best be placed. I usually do all my own decorating -I have an art degree-but enjoy having Marilyn's experience and perspective to make sure I am going in the best direction. The old while vanity in the guest Bathroom was indeed saved and with new modern hardware it looks great. I will use both Marilyn and Brent again.Diana Colardi

Description of Work: I bought Marilyn's big deal and hired her to decorate my bedroom. She brought her team of professionals to my house and began right away. They were all prompt and excellent. Marilyn seemed to have the same design style as I did and it all went very well. I had experienced a nightmare with a former job in my bathroom, Marilyn jumped in and brought her tile men and glass men and fixed it. Ihad my closet redone, my bedroom and bathroom retiled and painted, new window treatments throughout the house and we shopped for furniture. I was going on a vacation and felt comfortable enough with Marilyn to leave her my key and in charge of the job while I was away. I am sure I will use her again. She will spend money very wisely and saved me more than I would have on my own. I especially want to praise her painter, Brent Miller. Brent is a genius. He painted my bedroom walls and furniture with style and humor. He also fixed a few things that the former worker had left poorly. He and Marilyn can't stand to see bad work.anI highly recommend them both. Roberta Hyman
