HITCHING POST

Recently we had a pool installed in our backyard. We were in need of fencing and also were interested in purchasing a Pergola to enhance the pool area. The Hitching Post, a family operated business since 1979, located on West Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, is one place we wanted to look. It is a grand area filled with a wonderland of displayed Pergolas, Gazebos and swing sets and much more. He gives you a personal meeting to discuss and make a plan for a blueprint of what your intentions for your property needs might be. He takes the time and initiative to propose a plan that can really upscale even the simplest design. And the best part about this is that you can actually see the structure and size and shape of what will be in your yard, as he has the entire area filled with many different handcrafted styles of elegant Artisan wood, Vinyl, and Traditional Pergolas to choose from. They are already built for you to view on his property. We decided on the Artisan Vinyl design Pergola. It is simply beautiful. The Pergola is built to last and it is decorative yet strong and safe. It is really the highlight of the pool area. This Pergola is also very easy to care for as its exterior is made of vinyl but engineered for solid anchoring and very little maintenance. Many neighbors stopped and admired the workmanship and aesthetic beauty. The top of the Pergola is decoratively scalloped and extends out beyond the posted structure to add an elegance and regal look that gives the entire area a majestic feeling. We also asked Michael to help us pick fencing to accent the pool and to fulfill the county required added safety feature. We did not want a traditional fence but something attractive and that would show off the entire enclosure. He provided us with Key –Link Fencing. It is a 5 foot Gloss Black Flush Bottom decorative aluminum fence with self closing locking gates. The top has a double railing that runs straight and parallel to our long backyard surrounding the pool area and gives the feeling of an a vast elegant enclosure. Michael had many areas of travertine laid down under some of the erected pergolas. We picked out travertine from Turkey that is just magnificent. If The Hitching Post were not an outside showroom with well-designed erected samples on display, we would have never known how glorious our backyard could have been transformed. It is truly our Florida Oasis and the setting is because of Michael Skiera’s outstanding ability to give his customers a thrill of an experience to make a dream your reality.
