Expo Building & Development Inc

This work was done 10/15/08 and completed per the 'contractor's final affidavit' on 3/16/09, which includes the following statement:'2) EXPO BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT, INC. REPRESENTS THAT ALL WORK PERFORMED UNDER THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN DULY COMPLETED...' . We purchased the house 10/15/09 and all inspections, from the time the roof was replaced to the time we purchased the property, seemed to be in order, however within less than two months we had a problem with rats in the attic. The exterminator removed 24 rats and gave us a pipe which was lying on the floor in the attic whose broken end fitted onto the vent pipe for the back/north bathroom, which should have been vented through the roof. In the absence of the venting through the roof we have the invasion of rats and who knows what else, to say nothing of methane gas from the municipal sewage system being exhausted into my attic. We contacted Mr. Kuh of Expo Building etc. He came took a look and denied responsibility citing as we were new owners, the contract did not apply. We have advised the home owners association so as to warn other members of this firms dangerously defective and irresponsible job fullfillment.
