This architect James and his firm are extremely professional and capable of making your worries of any drawing for remodeling your home or business a complete ease . Worse experience ever .We hire barretta and associates few years ago . Architect James Barretta sigh contract with us took 50% deposit. Cash that deposit and call us to tell us that he give wrong price and we need to give him x double what he ask in contract and if we refuse he VOID his contract. We ask him to return our deposit or give reasonable price.. But he declined. He didn’t return our deposit and he STOP pick up phone on us or reply email to us .

Bogus review. After the contract was signed, he kept saying " make it bigger". It became almost three times the size, but, he would not let me increase me fee. By that time I had already spent more time in design than the retainer.

Although I provide structural engineering in conjunction with an architectural project, I do not offer structural engineering as a stand alone service. He need was for a structural engineer with no associated architectural project. Again, is not a review of my work. This is a review of a phone call.

Barretta & Associates Architects has been expeditious with the process from start to finish. I have been in the construction industry for 44 year and the service they have provided me has been extremely professional and smooth. I received the contract documents in less then a week to submit them for review with virtually no comments from the building department. I would highly recommend Barretta & Associates Architects to anyone needing a Professional Architectural firm for their project.

All went well. There were one or two changes that we needed to make and he updated the drawings to complete and pass the inspections.

Everything went very well. He explained the process up front, and everything went as he explained. We had some ideas going in, and James provided good advice and was a sounding board on direction we were not sure about. He created the initial plans, walked us through the impacts of our ideas, and produced a set of plans we are very happy with. I did have changes after the final plans were agreed to (my new ideas), and he worked on those quickly and with a reasonable effort.
