Beware ! Dustin was very unpleasant, unprofessional, and RUDE. We made our appointment several days in advance and received a conformation text. The day of the move they were late so we called to see if they were on their way. They gave us the runaround until finally Dustin the owner and manager explained that they had a small move turn into a larger move then what they had expected. I was trying to explain to Dustin that I didn’t have an issue with them being late I had an issue with them not telling us and letting us know ahead of time. My fiancé and I took off work. When I explained that to him he said it’s just part of the business and that this sounded like a complaint and he wasn’t going to listen to it. then he proceeded to raise his voice at me and talk over me when I was trying to ask him questions as to whether or not the time that he would attempt to reschedule me for so that it wouldn’t happen again. When I finally did get a word in and ask him a question, Dustin told me that he didn’t like the way I was speaking to him. Keep in mind I wasn’t raising my voice and used respectful language. Then he said he would try to reschedule for later that day or the next day. At this point I no longer to do business with Dustin or his company. My fiancé was there with me and witnessed how unprofessional he was an called him to see if things could be worked out. He told my fiancé that he was the person that handles complaints and that he doesn’t have time for it and hung up the phone on him. Dustin was very unprofessional, rude, and doesn’t seem like he know how to speak respectfully with people. Do not waste your time with this company. I encourage you to explore other options with a different professional company.

I had a bad experience with them. They called me on the night before and jacked up my rates and said they were going to supply a third guy. I said that is not what we agreed on at all you are changing everything. He said that is a red flag and I said what do you mean it's a red flag? He starts telling me all this stuff and I said none of this is what we agreed upon. I said you supply two guys and you had a set price and now you are holding me hostage. They called me at 8:30 the night before my move and 9 AM the next morning. They tried to extort more money out of me. I said forget it. So I had to find somebody else. It was the most unprofessional thing I've ever been through. I hope others see this. It's such a criminal act to do this. What they did to me was so wrong on so many levels, I can't even believe it. I can't imagine people out there conducting business like that.
Description of Work: They were scheduled to be my movers. It was $400 something and the night before the move they tried to jack it up to $500 something.

I called two weeks in advance and said I wanted a morning move and gave Dustin, the owner an inventory. He quotes you $99 an hour and repeats that there are no extra charges. He fails to explain that you pay for 1/2 window at the start and at the end so you could be paying up to an hour extra plus he adds 10% to the final price for misc. I asked if the movers were trained, professionals and he lectured me that they are his trained professionals and have been with him for years. After waiting 5 hours, 2 kids and a 69 year old man show up without blankets or any idea how to shrink wrap or move furniture. The lead kid dropped my sofa several times while attempting to shrink wrap it. They dragged and ripped it on the pavement. They ignore the word fragile and do not tie the furniture down in the truck. This is a company that should not be in business. It was a nightmare and the owner was nasty, abusive and a scammer. He tells you anything to get your business only to find out that it is all a lie!
Description of Work: He showed up 5 hours late without any apology or regard to move a one bedroom apartment into storage. The owner is nasty, rude, abusive and a scam artist.

The guy was not really good and misrepresented. The experience was very bad and I will never use them again. They did not do the job in a timely fashion. They had to use an extra day more than was quoted for. He got a look at the job and he knew what was involved but he quoted a time frame which was much less than it actually took and as a result charged me overage on the time. The service is supposed to include unpacking, well it was pretty poor to say the least. If you want a whole bunch of stuff, stuffed in the door it was great. It was done in haste and wasn't done well and it was overcharged because the original estimate was inappropriate. It was made to think it was a great price and they were wonderful in what they were doing and there wasn't that follow up and there was not the proper completion. I wouldn't recommend them. If there was a 'F-' I would rate them that because I think what happened is wrong. I don't see them as professional and as basically taking the time that was necessary with regards to the estimate.
Description of Work: I hired AA Condo Movers because it looked like they were appropriate for my kind of move into a condo. They took boxes from my home to a storage place which they recommended. They moved all the stuff into the storage and certain thing for my apartment and unpacked certain things for the apartment.

[removed member name] we actually gave you a flat price guaranteed not to exceed 12 hours… With things being uncertain on what you would need done if everything was to the minimum we gave you a minimum of $900 quote, you went to the maximum time frame with us we were very clear and your quote and what you would pay especially after coming to an in home estimate and seeing your stuff that should've been No Miss representation, also you are nice guy seemed selling your house who had it put together, and now you're coming after a small business with a bad review knowing you could possibly harm the company… Not very good marriage my friend, sorry to see this review

BE WARNED AND READY TO LOSE YOUR MONEY! This was the most nightmarish moving experience of my life and I have moved many times. These people are totally unprofessional in every way. All I got from them was a bunch of excuses, constant demands to be paid up front and in cash before they would lift a finger, and even some threats when I questioned them about their hours and pricing! . Overall, 1,900.00 I paid because of his failure to bring enough men for the job, failure to arrive at the building on time as agreed, and failure to inform me that he could not get the move completed on time. Most disturbing was his insistence both days on being paid in cash before fulfilling the services that were agreed upon. He blamed everything on the place where I was moving, even though he agreed to the rules and hours for the elevator in advance. He also left without giving me a receipt, but the two police officers heard him demand 700 more dollars, so I have witnesses. As a single woman, I did not appreciate his threatening tone and unprofessionalism. I feel was taken advantage of and I would not recommend this mover to anyone, as all you will get is heartache, a hassle and tons of excuses about why he can t do his job. I feel bad for anyone else who has to go through this because your only recourse is to take them to court.

This was the most nightmarish moving experience of my life and I have moved many times. These people are totally unprofessional in every way. All I got from them was a bunch of excuses, constant demands to be paid up front and in cash before they would lift a finger, and even some threats when I questioned them about their hours and pricing! I lived in a 1000 square foot condo and heard that AA Condo Movers specialized in small moves. I thought they would be perfect because I donated my living room and dining room furniture to charity, so the only large item I had was an entertainment center. I provided AA Condo movers with a complete inventory list of items I would need moved. Based on the list, I was e mailed an estimate of less than 600 dollars. I expressed concern that I was moving to a high rise building that had elevator restrictions and that I would have to reserve the elevator in advance from 1-5 p.m. and AA Condo movers said this was not a problem. They assured me they had moved people to this building before and knew all about the rules and regulations. Based on reserving the elevator from 1-5 pm on May 24, AA Condo Movers said they would arrive at my place to start packing and loading the truck at 8 a.m. and they would be able to reach the building where I was moving by 1 p.m. I had to go to the new building and get the keys, so I waited for the movers and they had not shown up at 1:30. I called and was told they were still loading the truck and they had everything under control. They assured me they would arrive soon. They showed up at my building at 4:45 p.m. and the property manager told them they could not start the move, as the agreed upon hours were 1-5. At that point, AA Condo Movers demanded 1,200 in cash for me, even though they had not delivered my property on time and everything was still on the truck. They also said I would have to pay an additional overnight fee because they would have to come back the next morning. I told them I only had 800 in cash because The estimate had been less than 600. The supervisor demanded that I go to an ATM and get 400 more dollars. When I said why can't I pay you since you are coming back tomorrow, plus you screwed up the entire timeline by not bringing enough men to get the job done on time. He said that if I didn't go get the 400 dollars immediately that he would take all of my belongings "to a storage place somewhere." Reluctantly, I paid him 400 more, which was 1,200 for the day. He said it would be an additional 600 or 700 the next day! When I objected, he once again threatened to take off with my property and put it in storage "somewhere." The next day he showed up and demanded 705 dollars in cash. I said no way, not until you move my things like you promised! He refused, threatened me again and I had to call the police department. The police said it was an unfortunate incident, but that it was a civil matter and I would have to take him to court. They said they would write a report about the incident so that I could have it on record. Overall, 1,900.00 I paid because of his failure to bring enough men for the job, failure to arrive at the building on time as agreed, and failure to inform me that he could not get the move completed on time. Response from AA Condo Movers
In response to her complaint, first off just to show the minimization in her review I just looked up online and her apartment that she moved out of his 1266 ft. She said it was a 1000 sq ft. It's hard to imagine what her apartment looked like before they came and got her sofa and dining room table because when we arrived with 3men as agreed. there was a lot of stuff in her apartment plus she never mentioned the packing. She told us to bring five or six boxes medium-size to pack up her kitchen. When we got there everything needed to be Packed, we had to go and get more boxes on the date of the move and have one guy stay and pack the entire time as the other 2movers were moving. The apartment was on the second floor, she had a full truck worth of furniture and well over 80 boxes aside from the boxes we Packed, we ended up packing 15 to 20 boxes like I said our packer was packing the entire time. She mentioned in the e-mail the inventory list of what she had. She emphasized how light all of her furniture was aside from the extremely large 3 Piece glass mirror back wall unit a very difficult piece to move the centerpiece alone weighed 400 pounds only gravity was the factor in moving this piece if we were to have had six guys for this wall unit they would not have been able to lift it. We were lucky it was going down stairs and not up. Prior to the move I warned Rhonda about the Promenade Association" and their restrictions. It cost our company an extra $106 to get special specific moving insurance for that specific elevator. Also with there restrictions the elevator is cut off. AA Condo Movers did have a truck in that building in their garage close to the elevator a little less than a year ago I mentioned that to Rhonda that was not the case when we arrived to do her unload. We had to park the truck 400ft away from the elevator out on the street making it approx.10 times longer than what it would have been on the quote that I gave parking the truck right next to the elevator. One thing we always make clear before we start moving furniture is that this is an "hourly rate" for her move it was 3 men $89 per hour we explain the possibilities of it taking longer then what the suggested time frame should take with the variables as a "stripped screw" for example or inclement weather or association restrictions. We told her if everything goes smoothly as was mentioned on the paperwork.. Only five boxes to be packed & all of her furniture was liked described on the paperwork then yes there's a high percentage chance that we get to the elevator around 1 PM allowing three guys from inside the garage to move her stuff up before 5 PM, Unfortunately that was not the case. We had numerous boxes to pack in making sure nothing got broke, one guy packing all day. She had to of known in her right mind that this would not happen the way she said. She already expressed frustration with the condo association. What she did not want to do was to hire the movers the day before to load the truck one day and unloading the next day as she should have done it is the only way this would've happened in a timely manner for the elevator reservation I can assure you our guys worked extremely hard to get this done as fast as possible. Here's how the pricing works her job went a total of nine hours the first day. Total cost everything included taxes included for two hours after packing material and everything included 2 hours $415 3 hours $510 4 hours $605 5 hours $700 6 hours $795 7 hours $890 8 hours $980 9 hours $1080 +99 overnight storage cost Our driver mentions this very clearly that it's an hourly priced job before they sign..also mentioning payment is due before unload or payment due after every work day this. after the overnight storage fee & the 9 hours work that she signed and agreed upon before we started, Her total cost for the day was $1200 she can pay cash or credit card she refused to pay credit card therefore we waited for her to go to the ATM here's how it reads one the paperwork... Terms of payment:"The payments for services and other charges are due and payable before the mover relinquishes possession of your household goods any charges not paid when due shall be subject to interest at the Maximum rate allowable by laws of the state of Florida" We did nothing wrong. I've been moving furniture and in the business a long time and this is how it is done to assure payment after loading the truck and driving to the destination legally we're not allowed to unload until the driver looks and gives you an estimate of the length of time what the unload should take based on how long the men took to load, of course if he overestimates you'll be refunded the difference if it goes over the estimated time it's prorated $20 every 15 minutes payment should be received before the truck is unloaded. Day 2: Now after have being told not to use the elevator on the day that she had reserved there was now only a 3 hour slot open the next day(Saturday) to unload from 9 AM in the morning to 12 PM in the afternoon in order to make the unload go fast in three hours we needed to bring 4 men I explained to her when we left on day 1 the 4-man price discounted is $109 an hour there is a travel charge for the second day also $109 times the estimated 5 hours on day 2 plus travel and minimum fuel charge $30 plus tax everything included 5hrs for the second day of the move was $705 I explained this to Her before we left the first day that it would be owed before we unload I explained it to her twice very clearly she refused to and held up time it stopped the 4men from being able to use the elevator she then called the police. When the policemen got there they said it was a civil matter , I then told her we still had enough time if she wanted to pay our hours from 830am-130pm that we would go ahead with the unload five hours. After speaking with the police and receiving the $705 after her move was completed, a very difficult move, moving her up to the sixth floor & everything was put together put in its place boxes put where they were Labeled. She's now fighting to be refunded for the second day we had to charge. I am sorry but the promenade has these problems all the time it's the property management that makes things difficult. I was talking to a couple of people that moved in recently at the promenade and they said they'd never seen an association so difficult to work with the problem was not the mover that day. We did her a great move. Her $1900 total was the 1.)overnight fee 2.)the second day travel 3.) The extra guy on the second day to make time. You can easily subtract $300-$400 from the price she paid you can subtract another $100 for the packing material that wasn't mentioned over the phone, and finally you can subtract another $100 dollars for the insurance that we had to purchase in order to move in the promenade(We only charged her $45 for the extra ins) Making her move easily between $500 - $600 more than what would usually charge for similar moves like this. There was a series of unfortunate events that occurred for Rhonda and her move, she already had expressed to me the frustrations of moving in the promenade she knew she was going to have some difficulties and now she's trying to receive $700 back from the mover because of her frustrations. This was not the mover's fault. we did her a great service nothing got broken and we met every single thing we said we would do.. Dustin Klein
