They took a 50% retainer and never showed up nor will they answer my texts or phone messages. I reached out to MaidsRUs corporate headquarters and they did not respond either.

The price is reasonable. The lady, that is president of the company, is very concerned. She always calls to make sure that the maids did what I wanted and that they did a good job. The follow up is really nice. I've interviewed quite a few and their prices are fair. Everybody is 5 or 10 minutes late sometimes.

Angie, the owner, was very accommodating and efficient. Once, when our usual "maid" was ill, Angie called me immediately with a back-up person in line. I opted to skip that week instead. The reason I ended this service was because my daughter offered to do the cleaning when she and her family moved in with us.
Description of Work: Any cleaning required, including windows and floors.

I have use them for many years. I feel they are a little pricey. I feel that I have to watch the girls when they clean. The same girl does not come all the time.
Description of Work: They came to my home to clean. They come once every two weeks.

I was very impressed with my first call to the owner. She described the detailed checklists her staff works from to ensure nothing is missed, the thoroughness of the cleaning in all respects, and highlighted that her "girls" have been with her for many years. Since I have had housecleaning staff into my home at least once a month for almost 20 years, I thought I would potentially use this company and its personnel on an ongoing basis at least once a month, and said so. The owner described the specific person she felt would be "just right for me," gave me her name & set an appointment for 8 a.m. the following week, anticipating my 2500 square foot home would take about 4 hours (FYI - it usually takes 2.5-3 for a pro to clean from top to bottom, since it really is in good shape). On the morning of the appointment, I am up & waiting. Shortly before 9, the doorbell rings. I say, "Hi, you must be...." Nope, not the gal I was told to expect. No problem, I think to myself, this gal looks nice, let's get started. How long had this long-term employee been with the company? Almost 90 DAYS. We took a quick walk-thru and she decided to start in the master bath. After about 45 minutes, I check on her. She's working on the glass shower door, and it does look great. (Wish I had known that all the water spots would show up again after my first shower!) After another 40 minutes, I'm thinking "No way will she be finished in 4 hours" and I go into the bedroom to find her seated on the edge of the tub using her cell phone. She jumps up & says she just needed to check with the office about something. I mention she needs to get a move on, and she does hustle to vacuum and use a steamer on the tile floors. With about a half hour of our scheduled time of 4 hours to go, she moves into the kitchen. I have been on the phone and computer during this time and really not focusing much attention, just leaving this gal alone to work. After a few moments, she's gathering her purse at the kitchen table, jingling her keys, etc., and I ask "Are you thinking you're done?" She responds "Yes." I said, "You have not even touched the sliding glass doors yet." She gave me a really dirty look and asked me what kind of "Up sells" I had arranged, because she wasn't aware of any. Apparently, 2 sliding glass door panels (inside and out = 2) or windows of any kind is what the owner meant, and I had asked that she touch-up a small window leading to the porch. (She had not mentioned a thing to me at the time I made the request.) I wanted to call the owner in front of her to insist that the sliders be done before I paid her. he cleaner said she would call the owner herself and then left the house to make the call outside. I was so frustrated I decided to just give her the check and no tip. I left a message at the office, but never had a return call or any kind of follow-up. Kitchen was barely touched and microwave never even opened.
Description of Work: I hired this company for a one-time general housecleaning in advance of my elderly father's first visit to my home, with about 10 days' notice. Since the house was only about a year old and I am single, with no kids and completely housebroken pets (and quite clean anyway), this was really just for a special spruce-up to include special attention to kitchen, baths and floors, so that everything would sparkle for my Dad. I was told that 2 sets of sliding glass doors were included in the price, and I had commented that since I only had sliders in the master bedroom & living room, that was all I needed.

Maids R Us came to clean my home before the holidays. I asked for the girl who has done it before, and done it well. I was told she was on vacation, but they had someone else just as good. Well, that person came late, did a very poor job of cleaning, asked me for cleaning materials (I had been told she would bring everything with her), left cat hair on the floor, left rust on the wall of the shower, and the ceiling fans still dirty. I paid her that day, even though I was not happy with the work. I called the office to talk to Greta (the owner), telling her how unhappy I was with the work. She apologized and we agreed that she would come out an clean again for me, said she would come herself so there would be no 'issues,' we even set the date. When the date arrived, Greta was a no show. I called to ask what happened, was told Greta would call. I got no call. I have now called 3 or 4 times, each time being told she would call me, each time, getting no call.
Description of Work: Maids R Us cleaned my house. I gave them a list of things needed doing, we agreed on a price.

Kitchen cabinets were not washed inside. We had to re-do the work in order to put clean dishes in the cabinet. Bathroom vanity was not washed or dusted underneath, we had to do this. The toilet and sink were washed. The tub could not be washed as it was just refinished. Floors were wet moped but grease was not removed. She was at my home less than 2 hours. Both my daughter and I spoke with Greta who agreed to have another cleaning done, at another empty house, dividing the payment to $75.00 for each cleaning, the fee quoted to me for a one time house clean. Greta agreed and a Monday or Tuesday was chosen. When Greta was a no show and did not return four phone calls, we decided to notify Angie's list.
Description of Work: A client was hired to clean an empty home. She quoted $175.00, sight unseen, as my daughter told her the house was very dirty. There was no furniture to dust. The carpets in bedroom were new, and the rest of the house is tile. The one small bathroom had the toilet and sink bowl cleaned. The tub had just been refinished and could not be cleaned. She dusted out the kitchen cabinets, not wet washed them. The laundry room closet and floor were not touched. She was at the house 1 hour and 49 minutes.
