My family and I have been dedicated to the restoration of antiques furniture and art objects for the past 60 years and we have enjoyed every moment.
I personally travel to Rome and Florence at least once a year to attend seminars, to improve our skills and learn new techniques.
This 70+ yr old table needed refinishing due to neglect as well as sitting in water during a hurricane flood. It was refinished to perfection! Beautiful wood on top and the legs look unblemished. Would do it again!

Eugenio is incredibly talented and so kind! The care he took in restoring my Grandmother's nearly 100 year old Oak rocking chair was impeccable. I would absolutely hire them for more restorations in the future and would recommend them 10 times out of 10!

Eugenio did a BEAUTIFUL job restoring two precious pieces of furniture that have been in my family for over 100+ years. This furniture had been neglected for generations and was in very bad condition (broken, moldy, etc.). I thought there was no hope for restoration and was afraid it would have to be thrown away. My restored furniture was delivered yesterday and I could not believe how beautiful the furniture looks. An amazing job by someone with true talent and a love of antiques. Eugenio took 5 more pieces of furniture to restore for me. I can’t wait to see the results.

I received the glass tabletops very quickly, however, one of them had a chip on it that I didn't notice until the next day. When I contacted Eugenio to tell him about the chip, he said he would replace it at no charge. Due to his schedule, it took approximately 3 months to get the replacement glass, however, he replaced both tabletops at no charge - allowing me to keep the ones he replaced in August. It did take 3-4 calls to arrange a time to meet for the replacements. Eugenio is very pleasant to work with and wants you to be happy with the results.

The trunk was in very bad condition. Eugenio restored the outside and the inside, including building a drawer/shelf that was missing. It took a month longer than originally promised, but the results were worth it. Eugenio was actually recommended to me by another furniture restoration company that was highly rated, but did not restore trunks. While it cost more than I'd like, I was happy with the results.

The repair work was of poor quality and they had the table for (3) months. The veneer was not repaired correctly. They burned through the wood. They were supposed to put a high gloss finish and instead did a mat finish. They didn't seem interested in the fact that I was not happy with the work and were not concerned in resolving the issues. I feel they de-valued the item based on their.

The reconstruction required an enormous amount of skill and Eugenio did an excellent job. The new antlers look seamless with the rest of the head. You would never know they weren't original by just looking at it. He charged me exactly what the estimate was and finished the repair several weeks before the promised date. It took about eight weeks for the repair to be made, which I though was reasonable considering the nature of the project and his work load. Despite the work load Eugenio always got back to me right away if I had a question. I would give him a very high recommendation.
Description of Work: I had an antique wooden antelope head restored. The antlers had broken off during shipment from India and one was lost completely. Eugenio had to reconstruct the spiraled antlers and match the finish and antique staining on the rest of the wooden head.

DO NOT USE THIS PERSON IF YOU VALUE YOUR FURNITURE. He said he did restoration for movers damages. He can barely do a touch up, let alone restoration. He was hired to fix a piece that had been broken off a leg of a winged back chair and touch up the legs. Also a library table that was nicked up on the legs, the edges and the gold inlay that ran around the entire top has a small gash. It took 2 weeks and in that time I called him once because I had forgotten to mention that on the library table the front leg metal piece at the bottom was loose and needed securing. He said no problem. When he delivered the items, the green chair had a matching piece but it was rough, unsanded feeling and only stained. The sheen was missing. The legs were only slightly touched up in the front. The rear of the front and the back legs remained untouched. The library table was barely touched up the leg piece was still loose and he used some gold touch up partially on the scratch and a little on the sides.. Still can see it and it stands out now and so does the gold paint touch up. Old and new gold very different in color. Had this piece touched up 20 years ago and they did the ENTIRE area to avoid what I have now.To add insult to injury, my pieces smell of cigarette smoke. The library table has another smell that smells kind of moldy. He gave me a discount of only having to pay him $200. The bill should have come to, if he had actually done the work he contracted for, would have been $400. This was the amount the insurance co. gave me for these two items to be restored. Unfortunately to get this fixed now will cost a lot more. Not sure if the smells will come out. Really disgusting!

I met Eugenio Guerri at one of the home shows here in South Florida in Dec. 2010 and asked if he did recaning because I had an old, weathered (but very comfortable) rocking chair that needed recaning and some repairs. He came to my home in Miami after the home show, gave me an estimate for recaning, repairing and refinishing this 100 year old wooden rocking chair, and took the chair with him, giving me a January/February 2011 finish date. In January he called me and delivered the chair. He had completely taken it apart, stripped it, carved a new spindle to replace a missing one, recaned, cleaned and refinished the chair after putting it back together. It's beautifully done and now I don't have to worry about falling through the seat while rocking. Apparently Eugenio and his wife pick up and deliver all over Florida on a regular basis. He's very pleasant to deal with, the work is well done (I saw other refinished items in his delivery truck, as well as my finished chair), and delivered the promised results within the time promised. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others needing refinishing/reupholstering work done.
Description of Work: Cleaned, repaired, recaned back and seat, then refinished a 100 year old wooden rocking chair with extensive carving, including pick up and delivery of the chair from my home in Miami and taking it to his workplace in Deltona, FL and then returning the chair to me in Miami.

Mr. Guerri came to the house to give me a quote, when we came to an agreement on price, he came back to the house to pick up the furniture. This was in March and he said it would take approximately 3 months. When the three month date approached and I hadn't heard anything from him, I called and he said it would be a few more weeks. He delivered the furniture as promised a few weeks later. When I received the furniture, the wooden knobs were the wrong color (stained brown rather than painted gold like they were originally). He insisted that I said to stain them, which I did not, but decided to let it slide. Other than that, the dressers looked good and the mirror came out beautifully. The nightstand, however, was completely the wrong color and even the wrong wood-style (didn't even come close to matching the other pieces). I immediately told him I wasn't happy with it, and after trying to convince me that it did match, he reluctantly took it back and said he would have it to me in two weeks. Three months passed and I hadn't heard anything, so I called. I left a message for which I never received a return phone call. Another month later, Mr. Guerri called to tell me the nightstand was ready. He delivered it a few days later and guess what? Still wrong! The top of it is not the same color as the bottom. I decided to live with it, I am not willing to part with it for what I feared would be another 4 months. It's been three weeks since that time and a couple of the knobs on the dressers are already coming loose.

This trunk has been in my family for at least fifty years. It had reached the point where it either needed to be thrown out or restored. The guy who does the restoration is out of the area now but comes to the area every so often. We agreed on a time frame for the total project and he was able to meet it. He exceeded my expectations.

I met Mr. Guerri at the Orlando Home Show. I set an appointment for him to come to my house and provide a free estimate. When he came for the estimate, I decided to go ahead with the restoration. After 4 weeks the restoration was complete and Mr. Guerri delivered the chest. I was stunned. I cannot believe how well it turned out! I wish my grandmother could see it. Absolutely stunning! I was very satisfied with the work Mr. Guerri performed. As a bonus, the customer service was great.
Description of Work: I have an antique chest of drawers that my grandmother left me. Over the years the chest took a lot of abuse, the finish was dull and was heavily scratched. There was some veneer missing in a couple of places and the frame itself was not very sturdy. Since I want my children to some day have it, I decided to get it restored.

THE OWNER IS FROM ITALY, YOU CAN TELL FROM HIS WORK THAT HE DOES EVERYTHING BY HAND, IN THE "OLD SCHOOL STYLE." WE HAD AN APPRAISER WATCH HIM WORK; THE APPRAISER SAID HE'D NEVER SEEN ANYONE AS METICULOUS. THE APPRAISER ALSO SAID, "DON'T RUSH HIS WORK, HE DOES A FANTASTIC JOB." HE TOOK IT DOWN TO THE BARE WOOD, AND STARTED OVER TO BRING IT BACK. A WONDERFUL JOB. IT WAS A LARGE SET, 10 PIECES PLUS 5 LEAVES FOR THE TABLE, ALL OVER 100 YEARS OLD. IT HAD A GLASS CABINET. HE RE-CANED ALL OF OUR CHAIRS. THE TABLE LEAVES CAME IN A CASE, WHICH HE REFINISHED ALSO. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT TO BE DONE, BUT I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED.
