Have used Gater air in the past with no problems however I called them on 7/24 as I was having a/c issues. The tech came out and said it was low on freon and he added 3lbs or 330 dollars worth. He said it most likely had leak but he did not have the dye to look for the leak as he was out on the truck but he would let the office know and they would set it up for someone to come out. I waited till Wednesday and when I did not hear from them I called the office guy who answered said give me 30 min to find workorders from Monday and I will call you back, I waited 2 hours and called them back at which point he sent guy out to inject dye into system. Didn’t hear from them so I called Thursday to find out the results they said the dye needs to be in system for a week I said that will not work as a/c is already running non stop again he said oh you must have large leak I said yes and the freon is very expensive he agreed and sent someone to house, tech calls and says he really cant test is accurately because it was raining I asked if he would be back tomorrow he said “possibly” I again explained it was large leak and it was running non stop he said he would call the office. It is now Tuesday the 1st and I still have not heard back from them. I called another company Monday they came out and in five minutes found large leak in condenser coils which by the way is inside the hose and in no way affected by rain. Will never use Gater Air again

Gary and Jacob are wonderful, professional, and honest, They are very responsive and had our HVAC up and running in no time.

They did well. It was a very cheap fix but I had to pay for the investigation.

I have had my A/C system for 7 years now and in the last week of May the motor went for the 2nd time. The last time was 4 years ago almost to the day. Apparently the last a/c company put an undersized motor replacement in and it didn't hold up for the normal life span of the motor. Gater Air was contacted and diagnosed the problem promptly and had a replacement motor installed in a weeek's time (the last company took over 2 weeks to get the part in). I was pleased with the effort that was made on my behalf and would recommend this company anytime.
