He responded quickly and said he could be here in a half hour (good response time) He arrived in 45 minutes and told me his hourly rate was $70.00 an hour plus parts and estimated it might take an hour and 15 minutes, and parts would not be much. I pulled out my supply of parts for him to use but he chose to use his parts. I was surprised to see him with a and quot;helperand quot; for a simple drain job. He was to repair a bad connection job on a newly installed sink. At first, he seemed hesitant as to how he could fix the problem, but went ahead with it.. While he was working on the drain, the woman helper was mostly petting and talking to my cat. During the repair, he stopped working to take a ten minute phone call from a prior customer with a problem, They called back again and the helper talked to them for another five. He got done within an hour, even with the telephone interruption. Since he used my old trappe, he provided only bushing/coupling, but no more than $10.00 to $12.00 in parts. I expected a small charge for material, even with some mark-up, but he said it would be $40.00 for the material, so $110.00 total. When I questioned him on the excessive material cost, he said, ok, if you don't like it, it will be $120.00, (which is the max. he originally gave me when he thought it would take more than an hour. He brought the material cost down to $35.00 which is still 3 to 4 times what it might have cost him. He mumbled something about having a helper and gas expenses....so while he did the job ok, I would never recommend this plumber to anyone because of his totally unprofessional attitude and dishonesty.

I have used their services for a long time. He is very honest and good at what he does. I don't need a plumber too often, but I have used him two or three times in the past year. He is very prompt and knowledgeable. He does a good job. I would always call him for my plumbing needs. I don't know anything bad about him. He is one of the few companies of the area that I would recommend because he always does what he needs to do to fix our problems.
