It took us a long time to pick out the perfect piece of granite, but, after months of searching, we found the perfect one, that seemed to have just the right amount of specs and swirls of color for our largest main counter area. (We bought the granite from a granite supplier in Destin - - no relation to the company who we used to install them. The granite supplier does not do installs - - you have to find somebody to install them yourself) The company came out to draw the template. About a week later they came back with the cut granite. It was cut too small. The top of the cabinets was were showing, and the counter was not in line with the dishwasher. The did not bevel the edges as they stated either. They argued with me because I complained that it was cut wrong. The installers appeared to be on drugs and tried to push it back and said "look". I calmly pointed out the inch of cabinet that was exposed / not covered by the stone, and said "yeah, look". I also pointed out the insulation showing on the top of the dishwasher along with the metal brackets being exposed. They broke the counter with a hammer and told their boss that it fell off their truck. When they came back a few weeks later, the counter fit, but, they did not bring the sealant. They told my husband and myself that it fell off the truck. (same excuse they gave for my previous counter top). The installed the other pieces backwards.. the buffed edge was facing the stove instead of out and it was crooked. The did not attach the dishwasher or sink with the support brackets. A week later my undermounted sink just fell out with nothing inside of it! A few weeks after that, our dishwasher shifted since it was not properly attached to the counters. They had to come back on at least 4 occasions to correct things they messed up or did incorrectly. On top of that, they left all their tools when they were finished. The end result was a very shotty job. It was also the most expensive part of our home remodel. We are extremely disappointed. The replacement stone was not as pretty as the one they messed up, and the counters just look as if they are installed very sloppy.
