Description of Work: I called on 5/15/13 to get an estimate for my move from Miami to Tampa, and the person on the phone, although polite, said the company could not give quotes on the phone, and they had to send someone to my apartment to an estimate. BUT, it would take one week for them to come out to do that. I think that is a ridiculously long time to wait for an estimate. So they lost my business because I need to arrange my move in a timely manner.

+ -1 moreEverything went fine. They were right on time to pick up the furniture and boxes. They took apart items of furniture which I never knew could be taken apart and they packed everything in a very professional manner. They gave me an approximate delivery date and told me they would call me the day before to confirm. Anthony called me on Monday afternoon to schedule me for Tuesday morning between 9-10 AM. They were right on time and right within the original number of days they originally estimated. I was told by the sales rep that the delivery would be in 3 to 10 days. The actual delivery was made in 6 days. I was glad not to have to sleep on an air mattress anymore. They said there may be a problem maneuvering the truck through the apartment community parking lot and they helped me to knock on several doors to get people to move their cars. They went out of there way to avoid causing me to pay additional fees. They were great and the job cost me $100 less due to lower weight.
Description of Work: I called and scheduled an appointment for someone to come to my apartment and give me an estimate. The estimate they provided was based upon 3900 pounds of items. I was told that if the load weighed less then the cost would come down but if it weighed nothing more than the written guaranteed estimate would be charged. Dan was very professional and thorough.

+ -1 moreThe job went better than I expected. The movers were polite, fast, and careful. They wrapped everything in blankets. The driver, Angel, was a great manager of his crew and easy to work with. I haven't moved in 13 years, so the price seemed a little high, but that included extra insurance. After the job was done, I realized how hard the movers worked. I also had to consider the distance, especially with the high cost of gas and the fact that the crew had to stay overnight in a hotel. I was so afraid something would go wrong, but it all went smoothly thanks to Angel and his crew.
Description of Work: I moved from a house in Weston to a condo in Daytona with an extra stop in Orlando. Everyone showed up on time. They also loaned me wardrobe boxes. The price was exactly as quoted, and nothing was damaged. They arrived with a crew of five on loading day and a crew of three the next day to unload.

+ -1 moreThis was an awesome experience. The estimate process was completely explained and easily understood. After accepting the estimate the process was so smooth and easy. Every step was explained, they would check with me to make sure everything was going as expected and were always helpful with any questions or concerns I had. Every one I had contact with from the estimate to the final handshake at my new place were professional and friendly. They put me at ease and made my whole moving a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Suddath/United Van Lines for ANY move you may need to make.
Description of Work: They packed and loaded all of my apartment in Deerfield Beach and moved my things to Oakbrook Terrace IL.
