Again, perfect. please read above statement.
Description of Work: I was at first very apprehensive to purchase impact Windows and doors. My husband ran across Storm Tight Windows at a home show back in the spring. We waited some time before actually calling them for a in home demonstration. We made the appointment and Mark showed up on time and was very personable. After a lengthy and through presentation we both realized that there were a lot more to Windows and doors than we both thought. We agreed on price and actually spoke personally on the phone with the president of the company. He actually gave us his personal cell number and told us if there was ever a need to call him, we could! Very Impressive! After a couple days Chris, the Production Manager arrived at our home to do the final remeasure. He too was very knowledgeable about the product and installation process. He had actually been working with the factory for over fifteen years. He gave us a delivery window of 4 - 6 weeks. right on cue he called to schedule installation. We picked 8-23 / 25th. on the 23rd, right on schedule th installation crew showed up. Kevin and Josh introduced themselves and went over where they were going to start an how the process would proceed. two and a half days Later we had our doors and Windows installed. They look great and we couldn't be happier. We passed our final inspection and, just in time for the tropical storm. We felt so at ease during the storm knowing we were protected. Thank you Storm Tight !!!

We were in the market for new windows and doors for our home built in the 1970s. We not only wanted to update the look of our home but save money on our electric bill. Our air conditioner was working overtime to cool our home meanwhile the air was seeping out through the old windows. Storm Tight Windows installed windows and doors on another home in our neighborhood, the sales people knocked on our door to see if they can come out and give us an estimate. Since we were in the market and saw how nice our neighbor's home looked we agreed. A sales representative named Mark came to our home and did a lengthy sales demonstration. He was very informative and showed us how not only would our home be safe from a major hurricane we would also save significantly our electric bills. We were very impressed and agreed to make the purchase. At the end of May our installation began. I have lived in South Florida for over 20 years and have never had such a nice bunch of men work on my home. Dan and his crew were not only courteous but clean and they showed me each window as they completed it. They showed they really cared about what they were doing and wanted me to be happy. I have to say I was very impressed by their work. I expected the installation process to be long and drawn out but they made it very painless. After the installation was complete we quickly noticed the difference in the temperature in our home. We just received our first electric bill and it is much lower than this month last year. I am very pleased and to boot the extra bonus in this purchase that I did not expect was over the July 4th holiday normally I can hear my neighbor's kids shooting fire works until all hours of the night and with my new windows I could barely hear them!!!
Description of Work: We purchased 14 impact glass windows and 2 impact glass sliding glass doors at the begining of April 2012.

The sales person was very detailed in showing us their product. My inlaws just had their windows done with home depot and i wasn't happy with their finishing work. I was a little skeptical with storm tight and he took the time to show me the difference in the windows with what home depot sells and their product. We gave a deposit of 1/3rd of the cost that day (which was a saturday). that monday we got a call to schedule measurements of the windows. someone came out and did the measurements with in 2 days. then the company went silent. I didn't hear from anyone again until i placed a call on the 6th week asking for a time frame as to when the windows will be installed. We placed our order on 3/17/12 and the installation was done on 5/7/12. The installation team were awesome. they were very detailed which i appreciated. We had to send 3 windows back because they opened from the wrong side and also one of the windows didn't have the right grids in them. Currently we have not heard from anyone regarding whether or not the re-order was placed and when they will be back to reinstall. My only complaint would be that they communicated better with their customers. I shouldn't have to call them. Also, I wish they would have gotten it right the first time. with all that said, we love the windows that were installed. I am very happy with the product and would recommend them to anyone! 6/26/12 Fast Forward to today: the installers came back with the 3 windows that we had to re-order however 1 was still opening the wrong way. At that point i just wanted it done so the company and i came to an agreement. All windows were installed. When the installers left they did not leave anything with me (ie: pictures, paperwork, permit). Three weeks (3) went by and no one called regarding scheduling of inspection. I called the company. I spoke to Christine who said she just filled this position and will get back to me as soon as she could regarding the status of our account. She called me back to ask me if i had a permit or pictures because she didn't see them in my file. After 22 emails back and forth inspection was scheduled for today. I asked if a representative from Storm tight would be at the inspection and was advised that it was not necessary. Inspector came, saw then left. INSPECTION FAILED....Inspector requested a rep to be there next time. Now we have to reschedule another inspection, take more time off of work. This is very frustrating to me because I am trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt however they don't seem to really care. I have had 3 people in the neighborhood ask me about the company and unfortunately all i can say is the product is good but StormTight NOT SO MUCH. They cashed their checks fast enough so why should they help now (that's exactly how i feel). I expected more from a company that used a sales pitch of "times are tough and we want to keep our guys working because they have families).....

Description of Work: These people are nincompoops. Stay away, very far away. Just before the first appointment, the office calls me to tell me that their guy was in a slight accident on 95 and would not be able to make it that day could they come the next week, I said yes, but it sounded fishy, then felt guilty about doubting them, and resigned myself to wishing the guy well if it was true. The next week, the office calls me again, just before the appointment, to tell me that their guy was in a slight accident on 95. I am not kidding. So, knowing that this was a lie, I pretended to be sympathetic to the person that was in the accident, and they assured me that it wasn't serious and could they come the next week. Not wanting to p*** them off, I said sure, but I will have to call you back with the time because I need to look at my calendar first. I knew I would never call them back, and thought that would be the end of the story, but was I ever wrong. Two weeks later, the company calls me back, and says can we make another appointment because you canceled the last appointment that we had with you. WHAT!?!?!? I told them, no I did not cancel the appointment, you guys told me that your guy was in an accident, and I do not want to make another appointment with you. Maybe three days goes by and they call me again, yes we see you canceled your appointment would you like to make another appointment ma'am. So, believe it or not, this happens two more times!! And now it's six months later, and they're still calling me back asking to make an appointment I have told them countless times to take me off their telephone contact list. And last week, they called me twice in the same day, and Ashley the girl that called me the first & second time - when I said you just called me two hours ago Ashley, she said no I didn't, when I knew 100% well that was the same girl the same name, hello?? I mean come on!! Give me a break!! Would you want to do business with this company?!! Nincompoops!!!

Description of Work: While I'm in the market for new windows and doors, i will not be using this company. In the roughly 18 months that I've lived at this address, representatives of this company have knocked on my door 3 times. None of them had any marketing materials, business cards, or any useful information on them. Their stated purpose was to set up an appointment for an estimate. I find this to be annoying and unprofessional. I've called them twice to ask them to please respect our no solicitation rules but to no avail. I have a no soliciting sign at my front door, but apparently their representatives don't get the point. When asked why they would routinely solicit, i was told by the man at my door that he's just trying to make a buck. The sales manager told me they were not soliciting, just setting up appointments. At any rate, I would not so business with anyone that markets themselves in this manner. I also don't like having some stranger telling me that he noticed my old windows and would like to know if I'm normally around during the daytime. I initially assumed that he was just looking for a place to burglarize, and i sent him away.

The sales person came to our home and showed us the products, he was very patient with us because we are very picky on what we put in our home. We agreed to do the work with storm tight and they seemed to be very professional in their approach. We were notified of the permit and by the HOA that all had been approved to begin work. We received a call the first week of December to install the windows. The windows were installed Dec 12th in time for our family to arrive for Christmas. Im very pleased with the whole experience!! Great Job!!
Description of Work: We contracted with Storm Tight Windows at the end of October 2011 for 15 windows and 2 doors and were very pleased with the the installation. The installers were very courteous and cleaned up the job as it progressed, It was a large job and took four days to complete. The quality of the products are outstanding! If your looking for high quality windows and doors for your home then i would recomend Storm Tight to anybody.

We signed up to possibly win 'free' windows at a home show. At the time we were told that someone would call us but just to verify that we had entered the drawing and to clarify any problems with name and address. Two days later we were contacted by a gentleman from the Boynton Beach office who said he wanted to have someone see us about replacing all of our windows. I told him that I only needed one window and a door. He asked if their salesman could show us their impact proof/hurricane windows and I said yes. We set the appointment for the following week. The night before the appointment I again received a call from Bob who made it clear they were sending some 'especially' for our area and they didn't want to waste his time if we wanted to cancel for any reason. And there began the sales pitches, intimidation, scare tactics, etc. The next day we got another call about an hour before the appointment from Bob asking if we still wanted to go ahead with the appointment. The next call came about 10 minutes before the appointment time of 1:00 saying that the salesman was stuck in traffic and would be a half hour late. He further told us the salesman's name was Tom S. Tom did arrive at 1:30 and made two trips to the car and house to unload his computer and samples. His fingernails were filthy dirty, he lacked shoelaces, and he generally looked like a slob. His demeanor was kind enough in general conversation, but once his 'pitch' began he couldn't change course for anything or anyone. The repetition of the sales pitch is enough to put you to sleep and goes on for over 3 1/2 hours! We were not prepared for this as we have recently moved here permanently and have more pressing things to do. I had told both Bob and Tom S that I have been remodeling homes for several years, including windows, but in another part of the country. I don't need to be told what to look for, to listen to several videos ad naseum, and I certainly don't need a little question/answer session of what's important to me about good windows. This is where the scare tactics came in; what's more important...to get out quickly in a fire, secure your things in the home when you're gone, or maybe to be protected in a hurricane. And the list went on and on and on. Several times we asked Tom to move it along as time was passing and he was losing us. He didn't listen...NEVER did he listen to US! Tom also repeatedly berated other well known window companies, broke his own window sample as well as the screen sample, and put his heavy framed sample window on my beautiful teak dining table without ever asking if it was okay. When it came time for a price the games began; I asked repeatedly for the bottom line price. He kept trying to get us to sign on the dotted line and finance the windows (do they also own a finance company?). We kept repeating that we didn't need financing and would not be signing a contract that day. We have a rule in our home to get at least three quotes and to do our background homework. (And I told that to Bob when he called me prior to the appointment being set.) Tom pressed on...I shoved back. Give me the bottom line price NOW or get out. With a smirk on his face he ignored me and tried to continue the game. Well, Tom, GAME OVER. I have never, ever, thrown someone out of my house--Tom was a first. I was very close to calling the police to come and bodily remove him when he finally 'got it'. I called the company to tell them what was happening and how unhappy I was; I also asked them to please remove my phone number from their data base and for no one to call me ever again. Guess what? Sean, from their production team (or so he said), called me last night and started in on me again. He even stated that Lee Brown, president of the company, had asked him personally to call me (like I believed that!). I finally did get an answer though... from an MSRP of $33,182 for 14 windows (of various sizes) and one 8' sliding glass door (which I didn't want included) the final cost from Sean was $15-16,000. Again, unacceptable, let alone I do not buy things from those who use intimidation/scare tactics and are overall less than professional in their appearance and/or their dealings and presentations.
Description of Work: We did not use the services of this company after our experience with their various sales and production people.

I hired them back in March, and three months later they installed new windows. They installed new doors and I still don't have a key for the back door and the front door still is not right. Some of the screens have holes in them. I would not recommend them to anybody.

I contracted with Storm Tight in August to replace 5 windows as I was very impressed with their product as opposed to other storm impact windows I have looked at. While they were not the least expensive ones I have seen their quality far outweighed the price which I felt was fair anyway. The windows were ready to install before I was ready to have them installed so they held onto them until I was. On the day they were to be installed, a process I was dreading as I was sure it would be a huge hassle, they called to tell me they were on their way and would arrive at 930A. They introduced themselves and the 3 of them got to work immediately. 31/4 hours later they were done, cleaned up and ready to go. No hassle. They did an amazing job and made a great effort not to make a mess, moved everything back--even rehanging my blinds and curtains. One of the most professional jobs I've seen. Not only were they neat and clean but the job was too. I would recommend them to anyone and, if there was a grade higher than "A" I'd give it to them. Well done Lee Brown and your employees.

By the way, the name of the manufacturer of these windows is Regency Plus Inc. out of Pennsylvania. Look around for other Manufacturers & Distributors. First of all the installation is not complete. It was suppose to be a 3 day installation, but one of my "items" was sent to another job & damaged, so they had to re-order. Damaged "hurricane door" ???!!! Kind of makes you think. The men that actually came to do the installation were just wonderful. Very professional, they knew what they were doing & they did not mind me watching them & asking questions. The installation went seamlessly with these men. If they were supplied the correct door (it was marked incorrectly & not by them) the entire job would have been completed in 3 days. I cannot say enough about the crew. Mauricio, Nelson , Dwayne & Chris. They work extremely well together & planned the installation around the afternoon rains. They set the exposed windows early in the day & worked on the 'protected' windows when the rain came. They then came back the next day to finish the exposed windows in the AM before the rains, then moved on to the protected areas. These men are NOT afraid of hard work in the Florida sun. The "A" rating above applies to the crew only. The window quality speaks for itself. The company, itself, are very poor communicators. I made 5 phone calls to find out when installation would be so I could ask for vacation time. & I never received a return phone call. It took a phone call to the owner of the company to get some kind of response, which by the way was incorrect, but at least he tried & was not offended that I called. They have moved another person from another area to handle the scheduling of installations, Chris Campbell, & he was responsive to my questions & sincerely apologetic. My door was re-order as a 'RUSH' & should be in late next week (7/15/2011) to be installed on Saturday the 16th.Chris Campbell also asked me for a ?partial? payment of the final payment. My contract reads, 10 % down, then ½ of remaining balance on start of job & the remaining ½ when the job is complete?. He said that perhaps out of the goodness of my heart, could I please see my way to giving them (I will just say $6,000) & they will give me a check back for half of that, so really, it will be that I am only giving them $3,000. WHAT?????!!! After all, they really need to pay their crew. WHAT??? again!!! I told Chris that the entire statement sounded like creative financing & that now I was really concerned about the company not being liquid enough to be able to pay their employees. My windows are guaranteed for a lifetime, but if the company is in dire-straights, that did not make me feel all warm & fuzzy. I also told him that I was much more comfortable sticking to the contract.I will update this report with the outcome. July 18th, 2011. No door. No communication. I will be out of town this coming weekend??so who knows when the door will be installed. I am not feeling very good about this company.Update: July 28th,2011, NO DOOR. I wonder what "rush order" means?I will continue to update this report. August 16th, 2011......no door, no communication. August 17th 2011 I finally received a message from Chris Campbell that my door is in & he wants to install it tomorrow! He did leave me his cell phone number, so I left a message for him that the 18th/19th (work days) was not good for me, but Sat. or Sunday the 20th & 21st would be. August 18th I try to get a confirmation for Saturday. I am glad that I kept calling them, because they were not going to call me to confirm that Sunday would be the day! I will update this after Sundays install! August 21st the door was finally installed & my installation complete. Installation was excellent. Again Mauricio & his crew did a fantastic job. The person handling & scheduling County Inspections, Ana, wanted to send me an email with pictures so I could print them. I asked her to print them & mail them to me. I had to request this again a week later because of non receipt. Again, she wanted to email to me so I could print, & again, I asked her to print. This time they were sent & received. The County needed these pictures to complete their inspection. County inspection happened on October 4th, and passed with flying colors. To sum up, a 3 day installation that began on June 30, 2011 was completed on August 21st, no fault of the installers. Very high quality & efficient work for the installation crew. The windows, sliders & door are GREAT! The communication with Storm Tight Windows is extremely poor. If one has the patients to tolerate that, then you will be pleased. I feel that if you are spending your hard earned dollars on a product, you deserve prompt & honest answers to your questions.
