C & M Wood Floors

Cordial meeting, nothing extraordinary, measured for Wood Flooring for Entertainment-Kitchen Area, about 660 sq. ft. Took a video as well. "Dean" was over-worried about furniture, and moving it to lay floor. (Something that is easily done from left to right as the floor is laid down) Went as far to tell me to get a "Pod" to house some furniture to make it easy on them. (What?) The reality is that they wanted an empty house to come into and not move a thing.........I received a price of $8,100.00 and almost fell over! My choice was basic, Sable Hickory, and middle of the road pricing. I called C & M and questioned the price, and also asked "Dean" if more square footage could bring the price down.....He said "Of course, more product will certainly lower the price".....He came back out to measure my Formal Living Room Area, another 700 Sq. Ft........Waited 2 days for the quote and it came back $15, 900.00!!!!! They charged me $8,100.00 for one room and $7,800.00 for the other......Not much savings there, Gents.......In retrospect, I had the exact floor done, same Hickory wood, same area, done in 2 days by 'professionals' also on Angie's List for $6,800.00 LESS! Hope you heard that! $6,800.00 LESS!......I paid $9,100.00 instead of $15,900.00. What is that called? I asked myself, "What makes their product $6,800.00 dollars better than the other product? Answer.....Nothing. I would steer clear of this organization unless you're family. I don't like getting taken by 'slickies' that think you're brainless, and those that insult your intelligence. You make your decision folks. I just had to clear myself of this issue......
