Air First Air Conditioning

This company was scheduled to come on a Tuesday at 9:30am. I contacted the owner Danny at 9:29am asking to contact me once a tech was inside my community. At 9:30am, I did not hear a knock at the door. At 9:45am, I contact Danny, he says a tech come by and knocked on door. Not one person knocked on my door that morning, 1000% as I live in a small apartment and have a dog that barks at knocking. I missed missed work that morning during that missed appt. I reluctantly accepted an another appt for the following Tuesday. I then receive a call from Danny stating he has to reschedule to Friday at 11am. I said this is unacceptable considering I've requested off of work again and considering what initially happened. I also inquired why I did not receive a courtesy call anyone. Danny I don't have to call and you can't tell me how to run my business and proceeded to call me every name under the sun including a b*****, a tramp, a **** stating I can go f**** myself and not use First Air, Inc. I hung up the phone as he was still cursing. My landlord also spoke with him and experienced his nasty attitude. I wish I could rate First Air, Inc. zero stars. I have never once in my life ever experienced such unprofessional service. My landlord had previously used this company to replace the air handler. She paid a lot of money to do so and this is the service we received. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT HIRING FIRST AIR, INC. The owner should have his license revoked.

Dan Thaler of Air First Air Conditioning Company is one of those rare service people who combines professional competence, personal service, reasonable pricing, and personality. Calling the company, Dan answers his own phone, and responds quickly and in a friendly manner. In the last seven months, Dan has serviced our whole HVAC system, replaced our mini split, and repaired our ducts. After ten years working with another company, we were looking for a new air conditioning service. The previous company had sold its business to an out-of-town corporation. Asking around among my neighbors, many recommended Dan highly. At first, I was perplexed by some of his internet reviews, but I liked him so much personally that I decided to give him chance. We have been thrilled dealing with Dan. We had gotten several bids for replacement of our mini split. Not only was Dan's bid the most competitive, but we were struck by how much he cared about delivering us the best product and service afterward. He told us honestly and openly what he thought about some of the other recommendations and products. Dealing with Dan feels like I have a brother in the air-conditioning business. He takes care of my air con and me as if I am his brother. I recommend him without reservation or hesitation

We decided to reup our maintenance agreement. I supplied my Amex to pay for it but unbeknownst to me Dan failed to charge it for several days. When Amex called me to verify the charge I did not recognize it as the company name was different and it was in New York and it did not occur to me that it had not already been done. I declined. Well Dan called and wanted to come by for a check. I said to charge again and I would approve it. I then made the mistake of suggesting that he set up his charge service to the correct name and location and not leave my credit card info in his truck for days before charging. Wether I should Have suggested this is questionable but Dan flew off the handle in a verbal abuse scenario that was unbelievable for a business man or any individual. At the end he asked me to “put my husband on”. Well my husband had just listened to him call me the f word followed by the the c word so we just hung up. This is not a company to do business with.

They always professional,very responsible,punctual,courteous and informative. They service was free because the offered me free check up and service after I purchased a unit from them.

Dan Thaler of Air First is highly unprofessional in both his demeanor and the quality of his work. He installed several mini splits and was scheduled to do more at the condo assoc where I work in the office. However, his work was inferior and our new install in #6 was leaking water onto the drywall. After several visits back to "fix" the leaking unit for which he'd already been paid,, the problem remained, but instead of showing concern for the damage being caused by it, he began demanding money for "repairs" to the AC he JUST installed! His invoice noted he "serviced two units" for $500 (he couldn't specify which units for the purpose of billing) Meanwhile the AC is still leaking down the wall on his new install, and all Dan cares about is his $500 (screenshot attached) He threatened both myself and the maintenance guy verbally when the treasurer wouldn't sign a check due to the unresolved and continuous issue in #6. The (1) BBB website review for his company mirrors my experience: Dan was ALWAYS trying to rush us into what he said we needed, for which he has a semi-solution that will GUARANTEE you need him again tomorrow, neither him nor Jeff are honest, and when he feels you doubt his word he becomes hostile and rude.....just picture a 7 year old having a melt down and you're on the right track. After this experience, I've learned to ALWAYS get another opinion and be skeptical of anyone who wants you to rush into anything. And rude people who attempt to control with hostility and profanity, well, they will always exist, and I guess we can only thank their undoubtedly rude mothers for that. Get some therapy, Dan.

It went very well. The crew that was handling it was very professional, accommodating, nice, and they did a very thorough job with the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new one. They also answered all of our questions and explained new points of the new unit's function. They were very helpful.

Great! They did what other companies would not take on because the repair was difficult. I would recommend Air First and his very professional staff who found a solution where other could not.. It is good to have a dependable AC company in South Florida where AC is a must.

It took a few minutes, Dan knew exactly what to do. He is very professional and pleasant.

Dan and his team responded to an Angie's list question on a Saturday. Within an hour they were at my house assessing the situation. This is unheard of. To further prove my point, all other Angie's list requests I made regarding my unit were answered on Monday after 9am (bank hours). Dan appreciated the sense of urgency with having an underperforming unit and took my request for proposal seriously. He even offered ways I could save money because he was more concerned about securing and earning my business. Dan and his company are literally a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
