Dave was hired to maintain my pool and come winter decided to only come once every other week. I asked him repeatedly to please do weekly maintenance and he said it would start april 1st. I decided to try and work it out. My pool became a dark soupy green in March, bottom could not been seen and algae was all over steps and walls, and despite repeated phone calls (he was paid for march by the way) he never showed up to maintain it. It reached its end when frogs started breeding in my pool and he was contining to promise to show up but never did and it took me $300 to get my pool back to a blue color, and to get the frogs and tadpoles out took several days. He lied to me, yelled at me and was very unprofessional. I thought I deserved to have this money refunded to me by him since he was hired to keep the pool blue with proper chemical balance and asked him to refund the March payment and the $300 I had to use to purchase the chemicals to get it stabilized again at which point he started yelling at me and calling me names. I had called him nicely several times to say please......show up and put chemicals in my pool. He said he would and never did. I had to call him from a friends phone because he wasn't answerng my number and he picked up right away. When he realized is was me, he told me he was busy and not able to get to my pool that week. When I had my pool water tested at a local pool store there were absolutely no chemicals in it. I had a party planned for the weekend the pool was green and had to cancel it as well. He also broke some glass pieces on my pool deck and never bothered to ask if he could replace them. After a week of my son and I maintaining my pool I noticed that it hasn't looked that good in a year and then realized that he had never really done a good job. I would never give him a good reference and will continue to file in small claims court as I am out the $80 March fee, and the $300 in supplies from the pool store.
