RCS CABINETS

Our first premonition of a problem came when they came to install the cabinets: They were 4 to 5 inches HIGHER than a normal bathroom vanity. These were of a good quality and attractive, but they were way too high for a family bathroom. We were selling a family home and these were the size of kitchen cabinets; they were not a replacement vanity (the previous vanities were of normal height. AND RCS's vanities were higher than the many we looked at in Home Depot and Lowe's. Therefore, my sister asked that they stop installing the cabinets so we could get in touch with Chris Snyder, the owner of the business. On the phone to me, Chris said to me about the height of the cabinets "that's the standard size I make bathroom vanities" (interesting given it's the same height as kitchen cabinets but totally different from the ones you see at all the stores.) He did offer to cut down the cabinets (although we understood that this would not be a perfect solution--as they would be cabinets cut down, not originally made for that size). My family took 4 days to discuss this and then I sent text messages explaining that we would accept the cut down cabinets. I got no response from texts (although texts had been sent and received earlier). I got no response from calls except someone answering saying "We'll get back to you." Below is a list of communications attempted Tuesday, May 31 Phone call Friday, June 3 Text message explaining what we wanted Tues, June 7 Repeating previous text message Thurs, June 9 Phone call Tues, June 14 Phone call Wed, June 15 Email (to email listed on current website) and cc'ed to our realtor. Sat, June 18 Phone call To date, we have not heard back about when the cabinets will be installed (and we are worried what cut down cabinets will look like). This has impeded our ability to put my mother's home on the market during the summer season.

I called for an in house estimate. He showed up and gave some good ideas and spent time discussing the way his business works. He sent me an e-mail estimate which I was pleased with. I called and mentioned some minor changes I would like to make. He said he would stop by that Friday, and I agreed. He never showed up or called. I called on Monday and left a voice mail message. He never returned my call. I sent him an email and he did not respond. I waited a month no response. I went to his shop about a month later and we talked he remembered me. He gave me some excuses of why he dropped the ball and said he would stop by that Friday. He never showed never called. Very unfortunate. Not sure what he is going through but this is very unprofessional.
