 + -1 moreThe HVAC has been working fine ever since. I've used Hoffman Heating and Air Inc previously and have been very happy with them. Garrett is a great guy and is always there when you need him day or night!
Description of Work: The contactor on my HVAC quit working. Garrett knew right away what the problem was and was able to fix it easily. I also ended up have refrigerant added back into the system.

Description of Work: Ok so I was without air for an entire weekend after 2 other companies never showed so I was already over my wait:( I called Hoffman with high expectations. First things first if you do not potentially have time to fix an issue why accept the service call? When I made the call for service the evening before I gave Garrett all the symptoms and he said okay we will come have a look at it in the morning between 9-9:30. When he finally arrived a little after 12noon he asked me the problem again I went over it and he shook his head and said sounds like it could be a major issue, well after 20 minutes or so his diagnosis was that I have a piece of junk and it needs to be replaced ( really didn't like that comment) and ow by the way I'm overbooked now due to being down a tech and being a small family business:( so I can't even think about getting to you for at least 2 weeks. I'm not so sure it's a positive but at least he cut the service fee in half since he didn't call and was over 2 hrs late.

Description of Work: Garrett was prompt arriving when he said he would. He promptly assessed and located the problem. We provided the parts once he told us what was needed and billed us for labor only. He was professional, honest and informative.

 + -1 morechecked freon, cleaned coils, washed away debris from inside of unit. I did not need freon, there were no leaks, just a good all around healthy check up. I use NO ONE else but Hoffman.

 + -1 moreA/C Heat Pump was installed by Hoffman some 3 years ago. Since then, he has responded to one emergency call and 2 annual maintenance visits. At installation he performed in a workmanlike manner, for the bid price (something under $4,000 for a 3-ton unit). At the time of installation he noticed some some ducts needed sealing and did the work at the original bid. My latest service was a routine annual maintenance call. He arrived within the time span (1:00 to 2:30 p.m.) he specified, performed the work quickly, and cleaned up. He replaced some rusting outside screws and put the old screws in the trash. He has always patiently answered all questions to my satisfaction. At 78, that is an added plus. His prices are fair, he is competent, punctual and professional. A definite A+ provider.
Description of Work: Performed annual preventive maintenance. Checked Wiring harness, vacuumed drainline, drain pan. Cleaned lawn debris from outdoor cabinet. Cleaned ant nest from outside electrical control box. Note: I am a prefered customer of Hoffman--he installed my Ruud heat pump/AC and has serviced it since. I have an annual maintenance contract with Hoffman.
