I’d probably use them again because everything else was good which is why I didn’t give them an F. Just bad vibes from them.

+ -1 moreTwo guys from Dave's arrived on time the day of the fence installation. The old fence was torn down and they began to build the new fence on site. They were very professional and respectful. Once the fence was completely built it was sprayed with a water sealer. No other company offered that feature.. There was a cable line cut (it was not marked) they made sure they called the office to report the problem. The fence was completed the same day and it looks great! Mary and Darlene worked diligently from the office to ensure my internet was restored by Comcast, it was repaired and back working in less that 24 hours.
Description of Work: I was looking for a new wood board on board fence. I could not have chosen a better company. Ryan was very professional and informative when he came out to give me an estimate. He had samples of the 2 types of fencing I was considering. I made my decision that same day and called Ryan to confirm. I highly recommend Dave's fence. + -1 moreMary called me several times during the process of getting the permits from the city. I was impressed with the personal care that they took with me as a customer. After the City approved the date was set. Ryan told me it would be finished in a day and it was. Nick and his two man crew tore down the old fence and set up the new fence. Nick did a walkthru with me before and after and I went over some things about water pipes, sprinklers, the decking and pool returns. They were careful of the pipes, returns and sprinklers that were near the decking. Nick spotted a small defect in the gate during the last walkthru that I did not see and told me that they would replace the gate with another. They ordered the gate and returned to replace it. I was so impressed with his honesty and work ethic that I will recommend Daves Fencing to my friends and would use them again.
Description of Work: I had to replace a cypress fence that had rotted around my pool deck. I am very happy with the PVC fence that Daves Fencing replaced it with. Ryan came out and gave me an estimate that was competitive with other fencing companies in the area. What I liked was that he took the time to explain the differences in the materials and how they would need to be maintianed. He also carried samples of the materials and explained the installation process. I liked that they use commercial grade fencing. He was very professional. Another thing I liked was that they got the permits from the city.

Although you would expect any professional company to line it up and install it straight, one thing that is hard to find is professional personnel! From Ryan our sales guy, Mary in the office to the installers, everyone was pleasant to work with, took the time to explain product, how to care for it and the guarantees around their work. I would highly recommend them to others and make the advice from the experience of meeting with some of the competitors that price should never be the limiting factor, you do get what you pay for, and we feel quite a bit of value came with our purchase. Good Job!

The workers on the job were the best, courteous and hard working. The result was flawless, 330 feet of 6 foot chain-link fence, with privacy mesh. Once we received an estimate, which took several days and several phone calls, they were still able to fit us into their schedule by the end of the week. Their work was professional, quality work. They were easy to work with. Besides difficulties in getting the estimate, they were completely professional.

The 2-men crew was exceptionally polite, very knowledgeable and did an A+ job. They cleaned up when finished. The work was immaculate!

+ -1 moreThe experience was wonderful. The gentlemen who came over were polite and very well spoken. The went over the different types of fences available and explained the difference in quality. After taking measurements they presented us with a very well written and easy to understand estimate. We were quite impressed with their reasonable prices. They also explained how the whole process would work and stressed that all their workers are employees of Dave's Fence and not contractors. They also explained how their product was of a better quality than sold at the box stores. While we decided to delay fence installation we were definitely impressed with their prompt and thorough service. When we are ready to put in a fence we will certainly be giving them a call.

+ 0 moreI was very impressed with this company from start to finish. Everyone showed up promptly; for the estimate and the install as well. For the estimate I was given options, and no hard sell which I always hate. I was given the opportunity to make the decision that worked best for me, and they worked with me to do the install on the day that I needed it done. Everyone involved with this project was professional, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Even after the sale, I received a letter in the mail with my receipt and along with it a thank you note signed by Dave. I would highly recommend Dave's Fence to anyone that is looking to have a fence put in or one repaired. Give them a call, see for yourselves. As with other companies that I have used through Angies I was very happy with this one and it is nice to know that there are companies out there that still do exist that know how to do business the right way.
Description of Work: I had a small section of fence that needed to be installed, along with repair work to another section, the gates fixed so they opened & closed properly, and some posts/fence straightened.

A really appreciated the helpfulness of the install crew. They did a great, very detailed job. I didn't have to go back afterwords and touch up like I need to with most contractors. Good price. Great service. Excellent quality. highly recommended.

+ -1 moreEverything was great. They came to the property for an estimate. They were on time for the appointment, were very professional and answered all of my questions. Ryan acutally brought materials with him to show me what they would be using at the time of the estimate. He promised a complete written estimate via email which I received the next day. All of my phone calls were answered promptly and completely. Everything went very smoothly throughout the process. No money was required up front. The work was scheduled to our mutual convenience and was done on time. They even followed up via phone after the job was completed and sent a hand written thank you note.

Description of Work: Dave installed a 6' high wood privacy fence. He obtanied all the permits and everything. Came out when he was supposed to and stayed on the job until it was completed. We even had a difficult place alongside our concrete driveway and a couple of other estimators didn't know how they would install the fence next to the concrete like that, but Dave did it and did it well! He has come back out replaced boards and readjusted the gates for no charge. Dave is a very personable and honest man, I would recommend him to anyone that wants to install a qualitly fence or repair an existing one. He will come out and spray your wooden fence with a sealer once a year to keep it looking good. That maintenance is good, but ot me it does seem alittle expensive, but it is better than the cost of a new fence. Just like anything else it has to be maintained.

The price was competitive with all other bids but the main reason I chose them was their personal service. This is a family business that takes pride in their work and gets it done right the first time. I would highly recommend them and without a doubt use them in the future. + -1 moreCalled and received a ball park estimate. Called later for a detail estimate for which they did a visit and measured. Both estimates were in agreement. The office did a great job working around a HOA that kept changing the rules. Eventually they were able to do the installation to meet my tough schedule. Once they had the job, everything went smooth. The installers noticed some blemishes on a fence panel, that I couldn't see, and they replaced it.
Description of Work: There were problems with the HOA and Dave's hung in there. Just based on the professionalism of the office staff I was recommending this company. My expectations were high when the crew came out to do the installation. I was not disappointed. They were on-time and immediately set to work. Not sure they ever took a break. They worked around some overgrown areas and boxed in a tree on the property line. Bottom line - I have a real nice AAA fenced yard.

+ -1 moreDon't assume that you understand what you are getting. Go over it with the contractor. And when measurements are taken, make sure it's done when you are able to be there. I wasn't and we both would have understood what I wanted if I had been. But considering my mistake, the job went very smooth
Description of Work: Top notch company. Every part of service went incredibly smooth considering I didn't have a current survey of our rental property. Be sure you have a current survey and things will move quicker for installation time. Every employee of Daves Fence was professional, knew their business and actually worked without any unnecessary breaks. For Florida that is a rarity. Ryan and Mary were easy to work with and they were excellent in coordinating the job. Very efficient and detailed and I'm difficult to please. The only problem I had was one that I caused due to lack of communication. Even though Ryan spelled out all the options I asked for (7), I misread the options and we had to amend the proposal to include an additional side of fence. The bldg permit sketch had to be changed but it was surprisingly easy by the city bldg officials office. Mary had to schedule another day for the extra installation, but I was amazed at how quickly she fit me into their schedule. So be sure that everyone knows exactly what you want and what you are getting.. They took down the old fence and hauled it away, removed the vines and plant growth overwhelming the old fence and installed the vinyl fence which exceeded my expectations. I was expecting Home Depot or Lowes grade of vinyl fence and what I got was a sturdier, top of the line, heavy duty vinyl fence that looks beautiful. And they guarantee it for 50 years! I couldn't be more pleased with what I got for the money. I wish more contractors would run their businesses like Daves Fence, then every home improvement would be a pleasurable experience.

+ -1 moreTheir price was competitive with everybody else. Everything was fine. The salesman wasn’t aggressive which was good for me because I don’t like aggressive salesmen. He gave me a breakdown of his product; what it was and how it worked. He also told about the longevity and integrity of the work that they do. He has got several houses in the neighborhood that they have done and the work appeared to be exactly what he said it was. He was the owner’s son. He answered my questions quickly. He showed up when he said he would; he was probably about 15 minutes early. I didn’t have any issue getting a hold of them. He was dressed properly and he talked properly. I am 90% sure that they would be the one who would be putting the fence for us.

He and his crew came on the day that we planned, and they finished the job on the same day. They did wonderful work and the fence looks great on the property. Dave was very friendly and approachable and answered all our questions. We felt totally confident that he would do a great job and he did. The office staff was also very helpful and efficient and got all the information about whether permits were needed or not. Overall it was a very good experience and we would definately recommend this company.
Description of Work: Dave furnished and installed 368' of a 6' high heavy duty site built wood fence. He applied water treatment to both sides of the fence and repaired and applied water treatment to both sides of a 288' existing fence.
