Dave's Fence

Did a free estimate and then stated the fence job about a week after the estimate. Removed old chain link fence. Installed a 6 foot PVC fence. They did it in half of a day.

Under New Management, Dave's Fence Company provided me with the best estimate of three local fence contractors I solicited contract estimates to remove the existing fence and gate and re-install a new one. Their representative (Nick) bent over backwards to negotiate the best price, while explaining every step of the way what materials would be used and the process used to install the gate and fence. Throughout the whole process, Nick or his representative checked in with me to verify installation dates and times. His crew showed up in a timely manner, and within a matter of hours, erected the fence and gate to the specifications and standards outlined on the contract we agreed upon. Dave's Fence Company was professional, and cost effective I would recommend their services to anyone who was considering the emplacement or replacement of an existing fence and or gate or combination of the two.

Mike showed up at the exact time we had an appointment for, he listened to our needs & concerns, and he provided the answers we were looking for. We look forward to doing business with Mike in the near future!

The salesman, Mike, was professional and provided excellent service. Scheduling was prompt and even moved up a day. After completion, I noticed a warped gate that we had not noticed as a part of the initial walk through, but Dave's repair and installed a new gate free of charge. We are very happy about our purchase and six months later, still looks as good as new.

Salesman was very prompt on day of installation ther was a problem with some of the posts from the manufacturer. The owner came out and worked with the installation crew to resolve the problem. The owner went back and deliverd replacement pieces for the defective material. Will use again

Gave me a list of additional information he needed in order to prepare the quote and where to obtain it. Dave's Fence did a wonderful job. They were very punctual. They were also very conscientious at the work site and did a meticulous job cleaning up after they were finished. Most important, they were honest. I had a few obstacles that needed to be addressed and they brought them to my attention. The day of the job, they were very friendly and quick. I was amazed at how fast they were able to place a new fence! The quality of the product and work was great! I would definitely use them again!

Used Angie's List to request a job estimate. Dave's Fence rep Mike called and set up a meeting, arrived at the appointed time, reviewed requirements and prepared a very reasonable proposal. I did not accept because I wanted to use materials made by different company.

I was hesitant to have a fence due to underground sprinklers and past experiences. This business was fantastic. They did all the groundwork, including permits and HOA. The installers were friendly, professional and very much expert at their work. No worries, fence looks great, dogs love it and sprinklers remain intact thanks to their careful work

There was a several week wait between when I called and when the repair could be done. But they went when they promised to go. I did feel it cost more than it should have. considering the cost of the supplies and the time they took to do it I know they made a lot of money from the repair.

I looked on Angie's list for Fence installers around the Daytona Beach area since we live in Ormond Beach. I saw Dave had a good rating and the most reviews of any of the companies. I felt like many had used him and taken the time to write a good review. I called and set up an appnt on with an estimator. He met me on a Saturday about 3pm. He was very knowledgeable and he took all the measurements based on where I wanted the new fence to extend. This project required taking away the post in the ground and putting in new posts and hardware. He gave me the price and we and said they were about 3 weeks out. He said the office would give me a call. The office called me the next week and scheduled the appointment. The appointment was for the a few days earlier than the installation, but due to the amount of rain we had experienced the crews were getting behind. They finished a job that took a little longer than expected so they got to my place around 3pm. I stayed out talking to them and watching them work. Brian Mortenson really took his time making sure the fence was exactly as drawn and where it was going. He was dead on from the measurements we had given the estimator. What I iiked about the install was they worked for Dave and not some contractor he picked up off street. Brian had a worker with him and I was impressed by Brians work. He wanted it to be just like if it was his own fence put up. We chatted about how growing up we were taught to take pride in our work regardless of what the job was you were doing. Brian slit a few of the caps and explained to his helper you should not should hammer them in risking damage and getting the fence out of line again. Because of the slope of the spot we installed, Brian adjusted all the way around the fence twice to get it to be level, high enough for the gate. Due to the postion of one wall coming out (The estimator informed me about this. It was higher in the back than by the sidewalk. Brian looked it over and decided although all was level we needed to adjust the post a bit more to make it look right. From the road or the yard you now don't notice any difference. We went with the Tan for a few dollars more to blend in more with our house. It looked great and does not stand outl They will adjust the gate for free. Again, I was very pleased and will use them again for any other project .I think you will require a little patience if it has been raining a lot and it puts them behind a few days for your project.

I contacted Dave's for my new backyard fence. The salesman came out and was the only one who brought a sample of the materials used. The wait time was a little longer than I would have liked but they promised within 6 weeks and were 5 weeks. They kept in contact with me by email and phone and even sent a reminder the day before that they were coming out! Came and performed the work in 1 day! The crew was courteous and quick. Overall very happy with the performance of the team and the company as a whole.

The gentleman who came, measured, and gave us an estimate, was prompt and courteous. Crew came when scheduled, worked quickly, expertly, and cleaned up when they were finished. Quality fence, amazing job, and beautiful asset to my home.

Shortly before my installation date, I asked if I could make some changes because I wanted to choose a different fence. My request was very last minute and I told them that I would understand if they could not accommodate such a late request. The office manager, Ryan, was extremely kind and understanding and went above and beyond to provide me with the upgrade that I wanted and only charged me a small upgrade fee. Today, they broke down and hauled away the old fence. Then, they installed my new fence around our well system. The installation crew were very polite and well organized. There were some obstacles that they ran into during the installation, such as irrigation lines found in inconvenient places which made them have to reposition some of the posts and they even had to cut out a small section of a cement slab to complete the job correctly. They never complained and professionally solved each and every problem that they came across. Several of my neighbors had previously told me that I should just do the job myself. I am extremely glad that I did not follow that advice and had Dave's Fence Company professionally install my commercial grade fence, which has a life time guarantee on parts and labor. Their price was very good when I compared it to the other estimates that I had received. And, it was excellent when I factor in the upgrade that I received, and that they use only commercial grade materials. Everyone at this company, including Mike that came and provided the quote, all of the wonderful people in the office and the hard working and dedicated installers, were exceptionally nice, professional and kind. They really cared about me as a customer and as a person. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure that I was completely happy with the job from start to finish.

We had Dave?s Fence install 2 fences. The first is a vinyl replacement for the old wood fence that surrounded our property. This included a double gate and 2 single gates and was no small feat as the property has some noticeable elevation changes. The second fence is aluminum that went around our in-ground pool . While the property fence could have been used to meet pool code we wanted the extra security as we have young grand-kids that come to visit. Installation was focused with an emphasis on quality. Both crews (these were done on different days) were extremely professional and courteous. They were patient with our questions and when an issue arose regarding the pool fence they went way above and beyond to make it right. This is what customer service should always be and we are extremely pleased with Dave?s Fence. I cannot over-emphasize how professional, yet friendly, everyone from the front office to the installation crews were. It?s nice to know that as a local company they will be there if the need should arise. We are very pleased with the quality of the materials (commercial grade, UV treated PVC) and the craftsmanship of the installers. People need to understand that it does take time for the materials to be ordered then shipped to Dave's. That depends on what is being ordered, the color and how much of it. Also, I found the price to be reasonable as unlike other fencing companies Dave's uses only commercial grade materials. When doing comparisons you should ask for a commercial grade quote.

They ordered the fencing, that took about 4 weeks, but did the job in one day. It looks great, measured coirrectly, and would use them in the future if needed. I had to wait for the permit first that took 2 weeks, but then everything went smoothly.

Everyone was professional during the two day install. I would use them again.

The guy (whose name escapes me but may have been Mike) who came out to give me an estimate was nice enough. But that's where my good comments for this company end. I expressed the urgency of getting part of my fence replaced (about 100 feet) because my dogs had destroyed the old, rotted fence and were escaping almost daily. I basically told Mike that I was going with Dave's based on reviews on Angie's List if the price was fair. That's right, before I ever got an estimate, I said I wanted to go with their company. He told me he'd get me the estimate in a day or two... The estimate never arrived. This was over two weeks ago now. I have since contacted the company several times--the last two times, via their website and via an e-mail that that used in the past to send me e-mails--to warn them that I'd be leaving poor reviews for them on here and other outlets online if I didn't at least hear back from them. They never bothered to respond. Look, maybe Dave's Fence is overbooked or maybe they don't want to help me for some reason. It's a relatively small job. But it's absolutely inexcusable that, just because it's not a big job, for this company to never get back to me, to never apologize for wasting my time, and then to never acknowledge a very valid complaint. Truth is, I probably would have still gone with them if they'd gotten back to me recently. Is it so difficult for this company to be professional and treat potential customers with respect? Apparently they don't really care about poor reviews either. This isn't about whether or not Dave's Fence does good work. I'm sure they probably do. This is about professionalism and a lack of respect. Frankly, I don't understand it.

Just received the quote and chose to go with Them. Mike was very punctual, profession and able to get within my budget and time frame. I will review again when the job is completed.
