Our old A/C was on its last legs and we tried with Ace’s help to prolong its life, but we finally decided it was time for a new unit. Their representative looked at our old system, told us what was required, and provided us with two alternatives. Once we decided on the unit, it was smooth sailing. Communications and scheduling were excellent and when the day came to install the unit, 2 pleasant young men worked hard for most of the day as our drain pan is in the attic and it is tight quarters in there. We could not be more satisfied with their A/C service, and we have now hired them to do some electrical work. We enthusiastically recommend Ace!! Rafael and Helen

I called ACE Air Conditioning after my HVAC unit shut down on a Sunday (of all days), and after the contractor who installed the unit and who I have a service contract with (i.e., Del Air) told me it would be THREE DAYS before they could send a tech out (shame on you Del Air). Anyway, It was a burning hot day, so I need to get this repair done. After I made the initial call to ACE, they called me back within the hour and send they would have a tech there within 45 minutes. Less than 30 minutes later, Amanda (the technician, who was terrific) showed up, quickly diagnosed the problem, and had my unit back up and running at full blast within 40 minutes. In sum, ACE was responsive, the technician was great, and they charged me a fair price. I would highly recommend ACE for any of your emergency HVAC repairs.

My energy provider should have reimbursed a rebate to me, and they did not. I ca,lled my provider, he took care of the issue, and finally I will get my refund this or next month. His owner, Eddie Palmateer is an excellent professional and person.

Description of Work: They replaced the entire HVAC system. I was very fairly treated They were very professional. This is the second system they had installed a unit at this property. I liked that I dealt directly with the owner and they had the best prices out of the other estimates I received.

The original guy that came had no people skills. They replaced him with a second level team. I don't think I got the finished product that I should have. The A/C is working, but I've had a few problems.

I get rave reviews about his work all the time. He has been with me over 10 yrs. Its funny, we have not been back to your home since 2011 and you write a negative review almost 4 yrs later to complain. Why did you not call and talk to me the owner about the issues you have? I'm sorry you feel that you got the second team effort but we have been in business for 37 years for a reason and that is we do quality work with honesty and integrity.

The service technician completed all of the inspection requirements to pinpoint any problems that could arise from lack of maintenance. He was very professional and explained what he was doing and why. He gave me tips on things to look out for, and ways to continue maintaining our system throughout the year.
Description of Work: Ace Air Conditioning completed our yearly maintenance inspection. The ladies in the main office in Deltona, Fl, arrange appointments for all services that are convenient for the homeowner. They are wonderful to work with, and always friendly. The technicians are very knowledgeable, and explain what steps they are using to complete their services. We've had Ace Air Conditioning as our service provider for almost ten years, and will continue to have them as our air conditioning company for anything to do with our hvac issues or installation of any new equipment. They are fantastic!.

my home a/c has been down for 3days. called Ace @0800 this morning to get service. was told someone would be there after 1200. called back @1530 for an update and was told that my service schedule was canceled due to the fact that I had called in and told the told someone that I had fixed the problem myself. that did not happen.

We installed the system in this new home on 8/21/06 for Mercedes Homes. We had 1 service call on 5/9/07 and have never had a call again from this address. This customer must have called another Ace, possibly from Kissimmee which has a name similiar to ours. We have no record of him calling us period in our system. All service calls are entered into our system and even if they cancel, the call would still be there but show that it was canceled. He has us mistaken for another company.

The thermostat that they replaced had a back light on it all times. The new thermostat they installed has no back light until you turn either the heat or the air conditioning on, otherwise it remains unlit. I spoke to the Co-Owner, Scott Palmateer, who informed me that I would have to pay for a technician to come and install a different thermostat. I told him that I shouldn't have to pay a service call or installation of a thermostat equivalent to what had been in place when they installed the original system. The service call was under warranty coverage for parts and labor, so they should be able to come back out at no cost to replace this thermostat because it is a legitimate complaint that can easily be resolved. I was told they did not carry those on the truck, and he would have to go into his warehouse to get one. I had called several times since the installation in February. The first call was within a few days of installation on February 11th, to try and have a technician install a different thermostat. I was told that if he sent a technician out I would have to pay for it. Even though the original replacement was under warranty with Ace. He told me that my memory must not be very good, because he did not believe that I had called prior to our discussion on March 18th. He became very rude, and told me that he was one of the owners and that this was his decision. I was told I would not get any further. I told him that I would try to contact the other co-owner. He informed me that the conversation was over and hung up! The company has always been professional, but this situation is unresolved and Mr. Palmateer showed very little professionalism or tact in resolving the issue. Update as of 3/23/15 I spoke with them this morning and they said they would replace my thermostat for $175. Again, this should have been done the first time they were out and I did call right away to let them know about the issue. When I called to rectify the issue, it was within one week and when I saw there was no back light. I don't think I should have to pay for something so simple to replace what I originally had installed by this same company whether its the same brand or different than what I had.
Description of Work: They had installed our A/C unit in 2006 and has been monitored yearly under a warranty program through them. They most recently did the work for me in February and replaced a broken thermostat.

We replaced [member name removed] thermostat with a newer, better and more efficient Honeywell model than the basic one that had originally come with the unit. The upgraded thermostats do not have a backlight that remains on as that uses more energy and greatly reduces the life of the T-stat. This new thermostat does have a backlight when you push a button, and we even sent our service manager out to the home on a separate visit (at no charge) to demonstrate how to use the new thermostat. It is not company policy to send someone out for free just to inform the customer as to how to use their equipment, but we went above and beyond in an attempt to satisfy the customer. After the visit to demonstrate how their T-stat and backlight work, they called again, still wanting one like their old one. The [member name removed] old thermostat was a discontinued model. After some searching, we were able to find this make and model. We let them know we could replace it again even though there was nothing wrong with the one we installed (which, again, is a newer, and better thermostat make and model than the discontinued one), but there would be a charge for us to return on another trip with this thermostat. Not only would it cost the company to procure the discontinued T-stat, it would also cost significantly in labor, time and travel. It is not unreasonable to expect the customer to pay if they want a specialized part, different than the one given at no charge under warranty.

Replaced 27 year old upstairs unit with more energy efficient unit. Most duct work was original from 50 years ago. Eddie came out first to discuss what we needed. Provided excellent explanations and detail. Brian and co-worker were meticulous and worked extremely hard in the Florida heat. Took a lot of time cleaning up when job was done. We would highly recommend ACE for your AC needs!
