+ -1 moreMy husband and I had a very pleasant detailed discussion with Barbara about getting a new flooring for our home, took a few samples home, BUT were shocked at how rude we were treated when we returned. We had decided we were going to have her shop do our new floor, but brought them a sample from another store the next day hoping they could match the color. A guy asked how much the sample was at the other store, told us they don't carry cheap stuff and that we should take our business elsewhere. OUCH! My wife was sooo embarrassed, and wanted to leave immediately, and even though I said good-bye as we left the salutation was not returned. He had all sorts of negative things to say, including comments about people comparing their stuff to the cheap stuff at Lowe's or Home Depot, but the sample we had was from a large flooring store in town with an A Angie's list rating. Very unprofessional, totally uncalled for, and we will certainly never go back.
Description of Work: We were planning to use them to install our new flooring.

+ 0 moreThe salesperson at Speedway was very knowledgeable; We discussed the project and reviewed multiple tile types and styles. Once we had selected a tile to be installed he came out and performed the flooring measurements himself to verify what we had taken prior to ordering any product. The installers showed up on time and prepared to perform the work. They performed the work in an expeditious manner and upon our inspection at completion made a couple of minor corrections without any complaints or excuses. They Cleaned up after themselves and left the house looking as it did when they arrived, but with new floor tile! overall, the work was done consientiously and was a fairly painless experience.
Description of Work: We had old carpet removed and new ceramic floor tile installed.

+ -1 moreThey guy immediately led me to the more expensive stuff - and by the way, mot items are not labeled with the price. Didn't ask about pets or any other stuff. And said yes, I can do wall to wall laminate, including kitchen and bath, didn't even bat an eye. I would never trust these people anywhere near my house.
Description of Work: I went in asking nonsense questions, making it clear that I had no idea what to do, etc. And I got a huge estimate and a lot of smoke.

Description of Work: He wouldn't even give me an estimate since he felt replacing the broken tiles would most likely lead to more broken tiles and that it would be better to replace the whole floor. At least he was honest and didn't try to sell me on a new job that was out of our budget.

+ 0 moreThe installers would show up around 10-11:00 AM since this particular crew was coming from the Melbourne area. The installers worked their tails off and stayed until the job was done to my wife's satisfaction (sometimes that's a little difficult). When they started to grout, he immediately saw that it wasn't a good color and stopped when most contractors would have done it to just get it done. In net, it was a great experience; they were very aware of the imposition that goes with any remodeling job and made it as painless as possible. I never even heard a single swear word in 3 days of working and I don't think I could have done that!
Description of Work: We purchased around 550 square feet of tile after researching this and other companies as well as getting 5 estimates from various vendors including the 2 "Big Box" home centers. Speedway Tile was originally Pino Tile and I think they changed hands in the past year. They sub-contract to installers that they have screened and have high standards. We weren’t happy with the builder’s vinyl flooring that had been installed, so we wanted tile installed. We purchased around 550 square feet of tile after researching this and other companies as well as getting 5 estimates from various vendors including the 2 "Big Box" home centers. The job consisted of an entry way, 3 closets, a bathroom, and a lot of twists and turns. Speedway Tile was originally Pino Tile and I think they changed hands in the past year. They sub-contract to installers that they have screened and have high standards. We chose them because they were locally owned and about 1/2 the cost of the "big boys". Debbie is an associate and was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I noticed a lot of customer traffic coming in and out with small installation issues no questions. The folks at Speedway Tile had an excellent report with all of their customers, which was evident by the dialogue of the previous customers. I believe Barb is one of the new owners and I can tell she is intolerant of poor craftsmanship as well as ensuring her customers are happy. There were a few pieces of tile that weren't installed properly and she ensured it was completed properly before she would allow us to pay. How rare is that these days? Barb and Debbie are two first class gals and would recommend them to anyone; we will use them again when we have flooring needs.
