My first review after having work done was very good. Upon closer inspection the next day, we were shocked to see the amount of debris left behind in the bushes. My husband (who has had 3 back surgeries) cleaned the mess left behind by the company and we were then looking at 4 huge piles of yard waste that was actually hidden in the hedges which was now sitting on our lawn along with 6 garbage bags he had filled up. I called the company to have them complete the job and that's when I was faced with the most unprofessional reaction from them. Calls, letters and emails were ignored. I paid for a service which was not completed and they refused to complete the job. At the risk of having our grass die under the debris, again my husband was forced to clean the mess left by the company. I would never recommend this company to anyone and if you do use them, make sure the job is complete before they leave your property because you'll never see them again.They guarantee satisfaction which is not only a lie, it's a joke. We could not have been more pleased with this company. They were quick to schedule an estimate, very responsive to removing the tree and when told our neighbors had a stump that needed grinding, they took care of that while they were here too. They did not leave any mess and were very nice people to work with. We highly recommend them and they would definitely be our first choice for this service again!

Paid approximately half of other quotes. Excellent service. Fast and efficient. Trimmed my palm trees for free after tree removal was complete. Would highly recommend.

Showed up as promised on 3/8/17. However they left two sizable branches "hanging". Have called three times to request they come back and remove them. I was told I would be "put on the schedule" on the first call. Subsequent two calls I was told someone would call me to schedule a date. No response to any of these calls placed over a period of three months. One of the "hangers" has fallen, but one remains as of today 5/27/17. Have lost my patience, hence this review.

Wow, the SB Tree Service team was very impressive. After a call, they emerged on my property earlier than expected with 5 large trucks and big equipment. They were ready to get started! It was nice that everyone had on SB Tree Service shirts. Very professional (other than lots of workers smoking)! They cleaned up and really left the yard cleaner than it was to start with! The house looks some much better without those dead tress and branches! Thank you for taking care of everything!

March 11, 2016 SB tree service contacted to prune, thin, trim trees due to over shading. Cost $850. Trees were Big, Healthy, Green 19 yr old oak trees. On March 11 I witnessed them prune the trees, I afterwards ask if they cut them back to much and was told they would be fine. I noticed 2 months later they lost there leaves and did not look healthy. I was given them time to hopefully recover from the shock and did not contact the company back With the recent Hurricane my worst fears were confirmed that they are dying. SB Tree service two employees confirmed they were dying and wants to charge me to remove them, when they killed the trees The employees are saying the Hurricane killed them. One Oak Tree has no damage from the Hurricane and the other just has a few branches that snapped, they are just using the Hurricane to take no responsibility, SR Tree service needs to take responsibility for over pruning the 2 tree and killing them. Appraised value of each tree is $16,703. Over Pruning: No more than about 15% to 20% of a mature tree's foliage should ever be trimmed off at one time. In fact, 5%-10% is usually adequate. When you remove too much of the canopy, you'll leave the tree unable to produce enough food, transfer nutrients and structurally support itself. More than 20% was removed from the two oak trees, as I stated at the time to the employee. I have made several attempts to contact the Owner and he does no respond, only a employee that just says to sue them. NO 100% guarantee as they advertise, NO Responsibility.

They were very quick and I was impressed by their professionalism. They also were polite and I would hire them again.

They were punctual, courteous, and amazingly quick. That tree was down within 35 minutes. They epitomize the word "PROFESSIONAL". I am so happy I chose them. Dealing with the Estimator Todd was a great experience. He was polite, efficient and to the point; covered everything that needed to be done and the price was fair.

We own a rental property, and the landscaping company did not take care of the shrubs as they should have. When we finally saw it, it was a mess!!! I called some companies in the Volusia county area, but I only received one reply. That was SB tree company. The sales person came out and provided an estimate, which was fair. I agreed to the price. The team came out a few days later, and took a look at the trees, and explained to me that the trees were infested with 'Virginia Creeper' and were just about dead. They recommended that I have them removed, and quoted me a price for that-again fair and reasonable. They could not do the job that day, so they came out the next day. I was not there for the removal, but they sent before and after pictures to me, and based upon the testimony of my neighbors, they had a ton of people working to complete the job efficiently and effectively. They cautioned me that based upon the work, there might be damage to the sprinkler system. There was, but it was minimal and they did their level best to avoid as much as possible. I have never used SB before, but based upon this work and their knowledge level of indigenous flora, the backyard will be beautiful again. P.S. They did such a great job, my neighbor has his tree removed by them a few days later. Thank you!

We called SB Tree Service for an estimate and they came out the same day. We contracted to have the work done five days later. We chose SB mainly because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List and because Sean answered the reviews. The crew showed up on time, did all the trimming and cleaned up all the debris. The day after the job was done Sean called to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. We'll absolutely use them again.

Trucks, equipment & large crew arrived, as promised, at 1pm on the 8th. Every member of the team worked non-stop with soaring temperature in the 90's. Each tree was removed with great skill, large logs loaded into waiting trucks, smaller limbs shredded, stumps ground & clean up swift. All work completed in less than 3 hours which was remarkable. Many thanks to ALL your super people. You should be very proud of them & I surely would recommend SB Tree Service to anyone.

The entire process went very well. I called to receive an estimate and we were eventually able to find a time that worked for both of us. Jonathan came out and gave me an estimate for the removal of two trees, and for some additional work that I was considering (tree trimming, brush removal, and stump grinding). The following week they came out to do the tree work on my property. The trucks showed up with several workers, right on time. They were very professional, and left the job site clean & looking great. I was amazed at how fast they were able to complete the tree removal and additional work that I requested that day. I will definitely call SB Tree Service again!

SB Tree Service did a terrible job of cutting down and cleaning-up the debris for the job they were paid to do. I worked harder doing clean-up of debris that kept falling from the tractor they used, as no one was picking-up any of that, let alone any of the other debris. Most of the SB Tree Service workers as they came to the job spent most of their time standing around their trucks talking rather than working and cleaning-up the debris. I am still cleaning-up debris from the job they did. I thought SB Tree Service did a LOUSY job and I would NOT use them again or recommend them to anyone. I live in a neighborhood where we have MANY trees and I had a neighbor ask me about them and I told them they do VERY poor work and to NOT use them. I have carried out so much debris from their work, which they should have done, but left for me to pick-up, which I am still doing. VERY poor job!!!

David Michaelson, estimator for SB Tree Service was contacting previous customers to offer their services with some end of year discounts. I had intended to have the trees inspected and removed if necessary. Weather forecasters have been predicting a season of extreme weather conditions so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to have something done. We agreed to have three of the oaks removed if the city issued the permits. Permits issued, the crew arrived early, as scheduled, well equipped to do the job. David had spoken with a neighbor to explain the work being done since much of the trees were hanging over their property. The crew performed their aerial ballet with precision and expertise. The massive pieces were brought down with a minimum of damage to surrounding plantings. Unfortunately, one limb of a neighbor's ornamental tree was snapped off when they were lowering a large section. Of the three trees that were removed this date, all were hollow at some portion of the tree with the third tree being almost entirely hollow clear to below ground level. Day one - three trees gone. The fourth giant was scheduled to be removed the Friday of the same week. Again, the city had approved the removal with the stipulation that a replacement tree was planted. And again the crew arrived on time, well equipped and got to work. Courteous, friendly, appreciative for the work and professional in the performance of their jobs. Again, David contacted the neighbor whose house was directly under this oak. Permission was given to use their driveway for easier removal. The men were as careful as possible to prevent damage to plantings, and considering the size and weight of the pieces they removed, damage was very minor. I still have a couple of magnolia trees, so when I need a tree service, I know who to call. Thanks David and the crew.

Provided a competitive bid. Was punctual in arriving on time with crew ready to work. Trimmed 3 large Oak trees. Removed all the dead wood and sucker limbs. Removed all debris and cleaned up the area expertly.

Simply awesome. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, politely and professionally. The dropped these trees, cut them up, ground the stumps to below ground level and cleaned up all in about 2.5 hours. The entire crew was great. I coldn't be more pleased.

We had a lot of tree trimming and clean up to do on our property. David spent a lot of time with me during the estimate to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted and never made me feel rushed. We scheduled a time for them to come do the work and there was an issue with scheduling, but David called me immediately and let me know they would need to reschedule for the next day. He called me to let me know they were there and the work was beginning (I was at work) and called again to let me know they were done and then met me after work to make sure I was happy with the job. Great professionalism, great follow up - superior job. We'll never use another tree trimming service.

Came on time with a large crew. Went right to work cutting down the trees from top to bottom. Left stumps cut off at heights we wanted and leveled the cut so that we could place potted plants on the stumps. Cleaned up yard beautifully. They did a great job and we will use them again if we need more tree work done. The price was probably fair but I gave them a B on the price as I probably always do on price because I'm a senior and can't believe the price of anything now-a-days

I'd have to say this company is the best in the area. Their professionalism, responsiveness, hard work, and competitive prices make them unbeatable. I submitted a request through their website to obtain a quote, and David (sales) called me within 2 hours of my original inquiry, and came out same day to do a walk through and provide me with a quote. As I continued to obtain quotes from other companies I came to realize that between the dramatic difference in pricing and David's (sales) continued commitment to stay in touch with me and answer any additional questions SB Tree Service was the only way to go. We were able to schedule them to come out to my home to complete the contracted work within 1 week of being ready to schedule, and my husband and I were not let down at all - If anything more impressed. They had atleast 20 men working, and everyone knew their role with zero down time. It started pouring down rain in the middle of the job and the work didn't die down - everyone kept up with what they were doing. With how big of a job it was I was impressed that they were in and out within 3 hours...and at the end of the job a few men stayed behind to not only ensure that there was no debris left on our property, but they wen't around to all of our neighbors and down our street to pick up and blow everything off. 100% Impressed! No need to look further if you need a small or large job done - These are the guys to go with.

July 3, I checked Angie's list for someone to cut down trees for me. SB Tree service seems just the ticket. I called that very day and the next morning, an estimator came to my house 8 in the morning. He gave me an excellent estimate...much less than I would have expected. July 5, 8 on the dot, a whole tree crew showed up and began work. I think there were about 15 workers, but they moved so fast and worked so well together, it was hard to get an exact count. So much equipment and everyone had their job and knew exactly what to do. I was extremely impressed. It took about 3 hours for all the work to be done and the clean up was fantastic. I will certainly recommend this company to anyone who needs tree work done. Thank you, SB. You are the best!

It pains me to write this review, but I wouldn't want anyone else to have the same experience. Our first encounter with SB about a year ago was when they were working next door and they asked if we needed their services. We said yes, and they did some minor trimming for a very reasonable price. They were very professional and asked us each time they cut something to make sure it was what we wanted cut, and exactly how much. We were impressed and decided to call them back when we needed more work done. That was then. This time, we called SB and a person came over and we discussed exactly what we wanted done, and agreed on a price. The next day they showed up and the first we knew about it was when we heard a chainsaw and discovered a limb missing on a tree we never mentioned to them. This definitely was not the same crew as before. The back yard went OK, only they did not come prepared to re-cable the trees, and I found myself running back and forth supplying them tools and directions, so much so that I was unable to watch everything that was going on. That's when the big mistake happened. There were two large limbs on one tree. We wanted one limb cut completely off, and one limb lightly trimmed at its end. I later learned that my wife had independently given them the same directions. During our absence, they got it backwards. The limb we wanted to stay was completely gone, and the limb we wanted gone was still there. Needless to say, we were disappointed at best. Regardless, we paid in full the price we agreed to. Also, the re-cabling was partially done. I called SB back the next day after re-evaluating the situation and asked the re-cabling be completed, and I would pay for it. It simply has to get done or the trees will die. I hope the work can be completed without incident.

Everyone we dealt with was courteous, responsive, and professional. Bad weather necessitated a change of service date, which was handled smoothly and to our convenience. The work met expectations and then some, and all the debris was cleaned up and hauled away. Overall, great work!

They were quick to come give estimate and arrived on time. They were to do all the work above including pulling permits with the city. We questioned multiple times on the permits as we have a neighbor who likes to report people to city code enforcement. They arrived on time the day of the work and worked quickly removing the trees with no damage to the house. I have to say their work was excellent and the employees pleasant and hard working. My only complaint is that about a week after the trees were removed, we got a note from the city we were in violation and no permits were gotten. We called and they were quick to say they would take care of it. Called back to be sure. Assured us everything would be alright. A month or so went by and got another call from the city stating the permit was never picked up and if it was not in 24 hours we would be fined. They did finally take care of it.
