+ 0 moreWe called two other plumbing businesses before we called Roto-Rooter. One called back after Roto-Rooter had completed the job and we still haven't heard back from the other one. In contrast, I called Roto-Rooter and someone immediately answered the phone. Also, I was given a general estimate based on my explanation of the problem. It did end up being about $100 dollars more than was quoted, but we were still very satisfied. I was also given a one hour time frame that the plumber would arrive in. The first guy had some difficulties and so another plumber was sent also. He arrived promptly and identified the problem immediately. He even knew the area well enough to know that the house had been added on to which helped identify the problem more quickly. Tony was our plumber who fixed the problem. He was professional, courteous and a nice guy. We had five days of vacation remaining after he fixed the problem and we had no more issues for the remainder of our trip. When we return, should we have another problem, we would definitely call Roto-Rooter first!!! We were very satisfied with the company and very impressed with Tony, our plumber.
Description of Work: We were on vacation at a family beach house. We had a clog/back-up. One toilet wasn't working and the other toilet was. With 14 people in a 2 bathroom house, we needed BOTH toilets working!!!

Description of Work: Total scam job. My septic was backing up through the plumbimg and I assumed my drain line was clogged. Roto Rooter claimed upon visit it was my septic needed draining. How he knew this without inspecting my home was beyond me, but I deferred to his expertise. He showed up with a septic truck which should of let me know, this was what he was going to diagnose regardless. After pumping, he said all was well. Went in and tested, and my shower overflowed. He then said that he had to snake my drain and it would almost double the cost. I argued that I wasnt paying for him to guess, and i shouldnt have to pay for his first failure. He got about two inches from me and stated this was nit his fault but mine for not appropriately describing my problem iver the phone. At this point i had visitors staying as guests so I agreed to the charge as long as he would fix the problem. He snaked, next day my drains were overflowing again. Had the charges reversed, and got a call from rotorooter. "What happened" I explained the issue, and how I now had to pay a real professional to fix said problem and they stated no way it should of went down like that. Apologized and said if they had any further questions they would call me back. Never called back. They re applied for the charges. Total ripoff scam company. Professional who fixed the issue stated "No way they ciuld of fixed your drain field so they just told you something to get some money out of you." Do not accept these scam artists

+ 1 moreJon came out for timely in response to our emergency and he found the access to our line, determined the problem, cleaned our main waste water drain, and tested it to ensure that it was running freely. He will return this week for the permanent fix which is cleaning roots from the line. Jon was efficient, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. He arrived timely and finished quickly within the estimate.
Description of Work: Jon, the technician cleared our drain to stop the backup and gurgling and gave us an estimate for the permanent fix which will be completed this week.

+ -1 moreNot well! For $550, they were supposed to jet the gutters and drains to remove the clog. They only jetted one gutter drain path, but we had asked for two paths to be jetted. They snaked with a camera and said we had a clog in the one line and would charge more to come back. Then, they left! They told me prior to the work that the charge would be a flat fee to jet the gutters, but left after two hours of inadequate and incomplete work. There was no quote to sign for. They were mushy in their charges and what they would do for $550. A total waste of time and money.
Description of Work: Was supposed to jet the gutters and drains. Only did one or two paths; did not complete job as verbally quoted to me.

+ 0 moreThey didn't get it done right, so we had to bring somebody else in. We had a bad experience with them. They charged too much and didn't know what they were doing. They were iffy on everything. They asked me to pay them $180, but I refused because they had not given me an estimate like they were supposed to. We spent about half of what they wanted. We would definitely not use them again.
Description of Work: We used Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services to unclog a couple of toilets.
