Great. Very satisfied.

I went in to John's Appliance City to order some cabinets. I told them what I needed and no one called me back. I would be more understanding if this was the first time this has happened to me but it isn't. It is the second time out of two times. The following week I went back in to ask if I could order the cabinets that day. I was still told no and that someone, Kevin, would get back to me. The next day I had a quote for the two cabinets. They were charging me $2165 for two upper cabinets, no drawers, no rollouts. Just two plain upper cabinets. So I decided to contact the factory to get other suppliers. I was given the names of three other companies. The first one I called got me a quote right away AND the price was $1410. That saved me $755 dollars on two cabinets. Before ordering any cabinets from John's Appliance City, check around. They are ridiculously priced and the service is as bad as the price.

We went to John's Appliance & Bedding to purchase a Speed Queen Clothes Washer. Price on machine label was $799 Which was supposed to save us over a $100 over the regular price, but sign said in small print that $799 was manufacturers Suggested Retail price. I have no idea what the savings were from. We spoke with a salesperson (D) and told him that a competitor store was selling the machine for $768 delivered and installed. After consulting his computer and a small calculator for a some time, he told us that he would match the price. We said that was fine and that we would take the unit. As he was again consulting his calculator, he told us that for that price we had to pay $68 dollar shipping and that he would throw in the washer hoses for free (This model of washer comes with the hoses included). Also gave us a long spiel about the cost of delivery (gas, people, truck insurance etc) We told him again that his competitor was selling the unit for the $768 with shipping included and that we would like to speak to his manager. He went back to his desk, sat there working on his calculator for a few minutes and then told us that it was not worth his time to write the order for that amount. At that point we left and drove to the competitor store and purchased the washer for $740, delivered and installed. Washer is now happily washing our clothing.

She helped me twice in the parts department. She helped me with getting a water filter for my re fridge and she helped me yesterday with screens. They are originally $30.00 a piece for the stove and she informed me how to clean them without replacing them. I was checking for a dehumidifier in the store and John came over and assisted me.

A few problems with a delayed closing but no big deal

One washer and the dryer were delivered first, however the laundry room was not ready for the machines. The washer was installed in another laundry room and the dryer was stored next to it. There was a problem with the coin-op mechanism, so a service technician was sent to work on the problem at no charge because the machine was under warranty The following month the second washer was delivered. It was installed in the laundry room where the first washer was meant to go. The delivery man then moved the dryer from storage to the proper laundry room at no additional charge. The third month the final washer was delivered and installed. Before the third washer was installed we had to make two or three service calls for the coin-op mechanism on washer #1. Since the last service call the washer has worked perfectly.
