The quality of work is very good. However, their stone work, schedule commitments and back charge costs were very poor. We were quoted two weeks to complete the project. They started on 5/22/15 and completed on 10/1/15. There were numerous schedule slips some were legitimate others were not. There were a number of legitimate back charges but the pricing was high. Examples: 1) Frosted glass panels - They quoted $1,200.00 installed for two 36" X 96" panels with a six week schedule slip. I removed the panels from their scope. I ordered and received the panels 4 days later, It took Jenkins 4 hours to install. The glass panel cost was $220.00 each. 2) Marble fireplace surround - The fireplace surround was 3/4" Marble. There were two slabs ordered; enough for the entire project, The surround was made up of two large panels (700# to 800# each) and 10 smaller pieces. The two large panels arrived and were installed. The cut lines were chipped and rough. No attempt was made to blend or fix this problem. I became concerned when they set the first slab at approx. 10 ft. off the floor. They used manpower and ladders to lift and set the panel. No special lifting equipment was used. In addition only mastic and spots of high grade adhesive were used to hold the large panels in place. 1 week later we noticed that the mastic had cracked and was separating from the wall. The only thing holding the panel in place was temporary wood supports and bracing. While fabricating the smaller pieces, each one cracked and broke. We were out of marble and could not complete the job. Jenkins Bros and the stone fabricator blamed the breakage on low quality marble that was located too close to the blast line. They wanted $1,800.00 for a half slab of marble and to complete the work. They noted that there were no guarantee's provided with this work. I removed the stone work from Jenkins scope of work. I hired a contractor that was experienced in marble work. I also contacted the stone supplier and found that the Marble was very high quality. I had them hold a sister slab from the same block used by Jenkins. The remaining pieces were cut and installed the following week without any problems. The new stone fabricator repaired the rough edges and anchored the large panels. He noted that the previous fabricator was inexperienced with Marble. He used an incorrect or dull blade and probably cut the stone at the wrong cutting speed. He also noted that the use of mastic was the incorrect method for setting the large slabs. A high grade of thin set should have been used. The completion/repair cost was $1,100.00. I was told that due to the number of slips that I would be Jenkins top priority. However, it was over three weeks before they arrived to complete the work. There were numerous slips. I was told that they would start Monday. I received a call Monday Morning that they had other project commitments. I was then told Tuesday no later than Wednesday (No show). I was told Thursday No show). I sent them an email stating that if they did not show up the following Monday that I would pull the remaining work. They showed upon Monday and except for the glass shelves completed their work in 2 days. In Jenkins favor I will say that the work they completed was high quality There was a legitimate 4 week slip due to damaged panels. However, due to their workload, they took advantage of each slip and extended the schedule out as far as possible. At the most, with the legitimate slips, this project should have taken 6 weeks. It took over 4 months. ,

Their work is great. Visitors to my home have been amazed by what they see.
Description of Work: They redid the plumbing from the street to house and redid the plumbing in the bathroom as well. They also did some plaster work making their work blend into the rest of the house. They also put in a pedestal sink and took out a cast iron tub and put in a walk in shower in the bathroom. They created some storage space for me. Their detail work is excellent as well. They just did an incredible job for me.
