I began having troubles with the ice maker they put in and called them up. They said they would charge another service fee to come and look at it and gave me a hard time by asking how I knew it was the ice maker. It finally began to work and I cancelled the appointment for someone to come out. I woke up this morning and my entire floor is wet and my freezer is defrosting. I called them up and they said they could not send anyone out until Tuesday and they would charge me a service fee.
Description of Work: They put in a new ice maker in my freezer.

We had the pleasure of servicing Ms. Fissells refrigerator on 6/25/2013. Our tech diagnosed the customers issue as having a faulty ice maker. We ordered a new ice maker, with the customers approval, and replaced it on 6/29/2013. The ice maker was tested and her refrigerator ran to factory specs. Customer paid the $78 for service call and the $142.66 for a new ice maker. The total amount paid was $235.00, tax included. Ms. [Member Name Removed] called us back on 7/24/2013 stating that the ice wasn't coming out of the door dispenser. We did tell Ms. [Member Name Removed] that we do has a 30 day warranty on our work and 90 on parts. If the dispenser issue had nothing to do with the installation of her ice maker it could be an additional service call. We didn't want to hit her with any hidden charges. She got upset and canceled the call. We just noticed that she had posted something on this site as a negative respond to our services. We were sorry to read how unhappy she was and wish she had given us the opportunity to check things out.

After numerous contacts with the provided and several repair visits to the house since the original call of March 18, as of June 13, 2013, the correct part still has not been installed . The Office Manager should be fired for poor followup, constant lying to us about the order placement of the part, the followup that never happened, the scheduled dates of repairmen showing up that never happened, the dates of followup phone calls to us that she said she would make that never happened and the overall poor service of ordering the wrong parts. Even on Wed, June12 when the provider called our house to schedule yet another appt (the next day, June13) for the repairman to come out, you would think they would put us first on the list--but nooo, they said he would be out between 11 and 2pm--even when we requested it earlier. And the office manager also wanted to make it clear that we need to pay him at that time !! What?? Its been 3 months and you have the gall to tell me to pay him when he gets to the house? Maybe I should take 3 months to pay you !! I cannot overemphasize the numerous phone calls I had to make because of her lying and poor followup to get this issue resolved. Now when Thursday, June 13th came around, the repairman called at about 9am and asked if he could come earlier--of course we said yes. But once again, the Office manager has no clue as to whats going on since I personally requested an earlier appt the day before but was denied by her. The repairman came out and once again the part was wrong. At this point I was disgusted and just told the repairman forget it that I will get some other company to fix it...afterall its now been 3 months !! Obviously I wasnt paying anything for the service. The was the second poor repair incident we had to undergo in the last 6 months. Prior to the above incident, they took 3 weeks and again, numerous calls to them had to be made for followup to get the garage refrigeraor repaired. Keeping in mind, we have been longtime customers of this provider, buying a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer at different times during the past several years. The above two repair incidents were the first time we ever had to deal with their service dept and both times they failed. Now the repairman did say he would have the owner personally call us to see if he could make amends. I told the repairman I would give him two days to call me--after 2 days, we will no longer be their customer. So now I wait til June 15, 2013 to see if I am going to get that call. I do NOT at all recommend this provider...and am no longer their customer.
Description of Work: The provider was originally contacted on 3/18/13 to repair the ice maker of the kitchen refrigerator.

I am the new office manager for G&M Used Appliance. I didn't realize our company was already a member of Angies List until I saw the reviews. I am sorry this customer had such a poor experience with our company. Our technicians are sub contractors and the office would check with them and relay their instructions. We have been in busy for over 20 years and pride ourselves in our customer service. I know this has been a long time coming but I am sorry that you had such a bad experience.
