Florida Transfer & Storage

They were horrible. When they picked up our things, they divided it into 2 separate loads, which wasn't supposed to happen.  They lost 17 of our boxes and within one of those boxes was my good china that had been given to me by my mother, who just passed away. It was just awful. We thought we had purchased insurance through the company. We spent $500 on it and then they said that it was not insurance, it was assurance. It was not a guarantee that we would be able to replace the items or be enumerated for them. It took us about 6 months to finally give up. We found out that we could have gone through remediation but it also cost $500 and there was no guarantee. It was a horrible moving experience for us. They repacked items that we had done professionally. They did find some of the boxes and sent them but they had been repacked. A kitchen chair was packed in a wardrobe with some of our clothes. Their price was comparable to other movers in the area except for the insurance part. They didn't show up when they were supposed to. We would never, never use them again. On one of the loads, the guy didn't even have a helper.
