DO NOT USE FLORIDA PLUMBING WORKS—THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK !! I had a slow leak in my refrigerator ice maker hose and was unable to turn off the wall pipe (valve wouldn’t turn). Thus had to turn all the water off at the water heater. For whatever reason the plumber chose to cut off the part of the hose that was leaking and added what, I was told a was needle valve. Secondary to the slow leak it was discovered that black mold had formed on the wall, thus I had to place a claim with my insurance company. When the contractor sent by the insurance company came and saw the fix that had been done, one of the 1st things he said was “We have to get a plumber out here to fix this pipe”. Their plumber came and replaced the valve that didn’t work. Being upset because I’d just paid FP Works $190.00 to fix the pipe, and now finding out that it was not done properly, I called the office requesting a refund. They requested and I sent pictures of both fixes. I have not heard from them since. I wish I had read some of these reviews, before I’d hired them. Things can happen, but a reputable business stands behind what their workers do. FLORIDA PLUMBING WORKS DOESN’T. So BUYER BEWARE. IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH ANY WORK THEY DO, DON’T EXPECT ANY RESTITUTION. ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY IN THEIR HANDS, THEY ARE THROUGH WITH YOU!!
Description of Work: Repair leak between refrigerator water hose and wall pipe/wall pipe valve.

Charged double the estimate; installed new sink fixtures without cleaning old sealant/putty from sink so the old putty outline is visible on sink. Took one hour and five minutes to change a water faucet outside. Had NO PARTS and spent an hour at the store buying parts. At least five interior valves leaked within an hour after they left. Second time back fixed most of the valves, but three still leaked. We had a scheduled insurance inspection on a Monday, and returned from out of town on that Sunday to find leaks, called emergency line to let them know we needed it fixed by Monday noon, owner went ballistic and said we were overreacting, and they were going to charge us if they had to come out anymore. She hung up on me. They came one more time, and said they would come back if leak didn't stop. They left while the washing machine water supply valves were both dripping, and said they would come back if it didn't stop. Valves kept leaking, I called again, but no one ever showed up. The worst experience we ever had with a tradesman.
Description of Work: Replaced water supply cutoff valves for all commodes and sinks, repair and replace outside water faucets, replace p-traps, install new fixtures

Description of Work: Multiple issues including toilet valves, clogged washing machine drain pipe, holding tank with dead sump pump. |1st visit: toilets fixed. Tried to "rig" drainage issue with sealing outflow hose to the drain. Uncovered the holding tank, diagnosed inoperable sump pump. Attempted to determine issue with the drain pipe. |2nd visit: replaced sump pump, determined sealing outflow was not correct answer. Told if I purchased & provided a laundry tub could drain washing machine into that tub. |3rd visit: scheduled a morning appointment. At 1 PM had a discussion with "office personnel (owner's wife)" about missing repair persons. She was rude, indicated they were busy, call was "Lost" and when I called back she indicated they would not be coming to finish/work on my job and hung up on me. | |

Description of Work: Repair of Kitchen sink drain pipe ..... They charge $95.00 an hour from the time they arrive .... over an hour is charged in 1/2 hourincrements instead or a 1/4 hour or prorated time ... The serviceman was very courteous and professional and did a good job whichtook a total of about 45 minutes ....[ thus a $95.00 charge ] My problem with this service was that prior to them coming out, I gave them very specificdetails as to the nature of the problem which was to replace a broken 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe to a cast iron drain piple. ......which was done with a rubber boot connecting both pieces ...... the repairman decided that this would be the best solution. However, he did not have this part on the truck and had to take a half hour to go get it ... This trip resulted in an additional$47.50 or 1/2 hour charge.... as it put me into a 1 1/4 hours of time .... as the nature of the repair was known, I thilnk thatthe part should have been anticipated and gotten prior to coming out ... and that I shouldn't have been charged to go get it.

I would use them again. They did very good work.
Description of Work: I needed several small plumbing jobs done (replace 2 water diverters, stopped drain, broken toilet flange, lav. stopper broken). The plumber (Jamie) arrived within 20 minutes of the estimated time. The only problem was the lack of a needed part on his truck; he had to return the following day to complete the job. Very satisfied with the work.
