They were absolutely fantastic. This was a rental property and they carefully gave me options. When we decided on a carpet and pad, they did a wonderful job of installation. It was quick and professional, they replaced the pad and hauled everything off - they did a phenomenal job and everything was done beautifully. I will absolutely use them again when I need to replace the carpet.
Description of Work: Replaced carpets in three bedrooms and an office.

Discount Carpet had a wall of samples to choose from for one price. A carpet selection was made and we were told they would call in a week to install after ordering the carpet. When no one called to installed, a call was made to the store to see what happened. Well they said they no longer could get the carpet that was selected and would need to pick out another selection. What they had left in the same price was of very poor quality. They assured us it would work just fine. Time was of the essence, so another selection was picked out. They promised a particular installer and even changed the date of installation to use him. Well when I went to inspect the installation there were sharp tacks sticking up throughout the house through the carpet! Plus they left a gaping area of bare cement going into the bathroom. I called the store and asked who installed the carpet. They said "Jerry" installed it. Well that was NOT the installer we were promised. When I asked what happened to our installer, they said he had another job to do, so they just sent another guy without even informing me. I would of waited to have the installer to the work. We were already 3 weeks behind schedule as it was because of their issues with ordering the carpet. They said to prevent the sharp taks from coming up they would need to install a commercial grade rubber etc and nail it throughout the cement floors. Well this is a house, not an office. It looked terrible what they showed me, plus it meant they would have to pull up the new tack strips and nail into the cement a second time messing up the floor. They also refused to put a transition between the carpet and the tiled bathroom leaving about a 5inch gap of cement flooring. | |I asked the owner to please come to the house to inspect the shoddy work that was done. The owner Bruce refused to look at the shoddy work and yelled at me threatening to foreclose on the house if payment was not paid in full. After weeks of requesting him to come look at the problem and fix the problem in a professional manner, all I got was yelled at and insulted by this man, his son and staff. | |I finally had no choice but to go to another carpet place. They were actually priced better than discount carpet and were very professional. I had them remove the carpet Discount Carpet installed, and install the new carpet from the new company Georgia Direct. The new carpet was installed properly and no exposed concrete and no sharp tacks! | |I found Discount Carpet to be the most unprofessional Carpet store I have ever dealt with. In fact I had even used them years ago and had a problem then too. They sent a guy out who was drinking on the job and his assistant and cut himself and got blood all over my white walls! At that time they came sent someone else out and cleaned my walls. I had thought after a number of years I would give them a second chance. No more second chances for these guys. Because it is family run they have no one to answer to and can treat customers horrible with no repercussions other than to lose their business. They are not even open on Saturday! | |I will never use this company again. I warn others to shop around as they are not the best price and certainly like to cut corners of their workmanship.

Went well. The estimator was wonderful, very personable. The carpet store was great, I gave them my parameters and they showed me what I asked for. The price was GREAT! 3 bedrooms with all nylon good quality carpet. I would suggest that the workers understand that when they are working in a condo the association rules must be followed. Living in a condo is not for everyone, but the rules must be followed. I will use this compnay again for tiling needs, but will review the HOA rules ahead of time.
Description of Work: After buying a condo we decided to change out the carpet that was nasty. We had a VERY short timeline. We bought the carpet on Friday and it was installed the following Monday.
