Cunningham A/C Heating & Fuel Oils

On the hottest day of the year so far the A/C for the hottest part of our home quit. A Cunningham technician came out and confirmed what we suspected and feared. Our unit that was installed in 2003 was toast. We ordered a new system and after a few days the crew arrived on a day that was the new record holder for hottest of the year. The system’s air handler is located in the attic of the second floor so it was REALLY HOT up there. Jamie Hughes, Victor and Andrew were very professional and courteous in not only replacing the A/C in a very difficult and demanding situation but how respectful they were of the inside of our home. You can’t go wrong with Cunningham.

Signed up for their service program in 2018 to make sure my rental properties had fully functioning heat and air conditioning. It has been nothing but a headache. Apparently, they did not auto renew my service contract, and left me in an unsafe situation with a furnace that could have potentially exposed my tenants to carbon monoxide poisoning. Now, even though they did not fulfill their end of the service agreement, and left me with a malfunctioning furnace, they will not issue a refund on these 75 gallons of oil they dropped off days before. Nor will they come pick up the oil that is useless now. Anytime you ask a question, it's always someone else's fault. No one accepts accountability there. It's always someone else's fault and someone else will call you.

Charged me for a new tank and tried to deliver a painted used one. Beware! Owner called back and tried to justify their actions. She is either part of the problem, stupid or just plain unaware! Worthless waste of time. Much less than honorable business practices! One lie after another.

We just moved into our home. I was home on Friday, but without letting us know or even knocking on the door (my car was in the driveway), Cunningham's tech turned off our propane. We were unaware we had to call to change over the tank rental fee, and we weren't informed. My husband called them; after telling them the propane powered our heat, hot water, fireplace, and stove, he was told they would "try to get [us] in" on Saturday and to call on Monday if no one showed up. No one did. Monday, today, is MLK Day. No one is able to come out until Tuesday afternoon, according to the company. We've been unable to heat our house, which is at 63 with a space heater running all day (and freezing at night), or take a shower, since Friday. We have three small children at home who are cold and not nearly as clean as I'd like. I couldn't be much more upset with this company. I would avoid them if at all possible.

Our A/C unit died on Sunday and called Cunningham for repair. They told us over the phone that the emergency diagnostic fee was $159 to come out which was understandable since it was after hours and a holiday to boot. Julian was the tech who came out Monday morning. He was very polite and on time. Called 10 minutes prior to let us know he was on the way. The problem was a blown fuse which he replaced. We were very impressed with his professionalism so we signed up for two cleanings per year and were able to get a reduced diagnostic fee - total was less than what we were expecting for the after hours work. Very happy with service.

I called 4 gas companies for estimates. Two never showed up, one rep from another company came but didn't seem very thorough in looking it over--only saying that they "might not be able" to do a hook up for the fireplace. Justin from Cunningham came and he was the only one who took time to explain that they could not use the existing gas line to hook up the fireplace and in order to get the insert up to code, they would have to remove part of the brick hearth to pull it out, replace the line, and install a tank in a new location. Ugh. But he promised to return with technicians who could say for sure what they would have to do. And he did. Both of the technicians were also helpful, but agreed with his assessment. Long story short--I gave up on the gas insert and threw some candles on the logs. Not happy with how things turned out, but glad they were honest and took the time to look the system over carefully. All three were knowledgeable and professional. And at least I don't have to worry about carbon monoxide poisoning!

They quoted $6,500 for the same type of air conditioning unit and the same installation which I got for $3,000 from another company. They need to get some better pricing and friendlier sales people. Overpriced and they weren't very friendly. It was like I was taking up their time. For responsiveness, I gotta give them an A for that because they did send somebody right out to give me the estimate. They were right on time. Yes, I will consider using them again for another quote.

Went great. They called immediately to explain options. Unit was delivered and installed the next day.

Danny, the LP service Technician, came and looked at my system which at the time had a pilot light but would not turn on. Another firm from Palm Coast wanted to replace the entire module that contains the thermocouple and the pilot ignitor and whatever else for about $300. Instead Danny came and simply cleaned the pilot assembly out and the LP fireplace is working perfectly. It only cost me about $150! He spent an hour here working on the pilot/thermocouple assembly. He could have sold me the entire module; since I am not knowledgeable in this stuff and what was I to argue about? However, he was an honest guy and did what had to be done to fix the problem. He was also very helpful telling me a lot about my system and how to keep it running (without calling him!). If I ever need help with my LP fireplace I would go to him (and not the Palm Coast firm).

Not cheap but super professional and perfect in every way. Nice guys doing the work, super neat, clean and polite. I have them coming back for more work, so pretty happy with them

I was called and notified that the components had arrived approximately two weeks in advance of installation and asked when measurements might be taken for the mantle customization and when I would like the installation. The dates were set and the sales person and carpenter arrived for the first appoint right on time and very professionally took the required measurements to insure that the customization would be exactly what I had wanted.. We then set the time for the installation. On installation day the sales person, the carpenter and the gas technician all showed up right on time. The mantle fit perfectly and the redesign was exact! The unit was installed within approximately two hours and worked exactly as it should. The people on the job were extremely professional and informative. The entire fireplace system looks as though it was built into the wall when the house was constructed. I could not have asked for more or been any more pleased with the whole job!

Cunningham was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and reliable from beginning to end of installation. Beginning from Mike in sales all the way through to each installer and that is including telephone staff, scheduling and billing. Everyone at Cunningham was helpful with my situation which was quite different from others . I had this system installed in a house that was purchased and renovated with me living out of state. Cunningham did everything that I asked, cleaned up after themselves, then showed me how to use my new system after they finished the installation when I later came into town. I have nothing but a good review for all at Cunningham. I would use their service again and will highly recommend!

I was scheduled within a few days. I would recommend them. They left the area clean and proper.

From the moment Ping arrived, I knew that they had sent the right tech. This guy is PASSIONATE about his job and extremely knowledgeable! He was able to narrow down the issue to my thermostat within 30 minutes, and had a new one installed and working just as quickly. During his troubleshooting, he gave some really good advice about keeping our system running smoothly. Outstanding service and great value for the money. I'll always call Cunningham for my heating or A/C needs. Great job!!

They were able to do everything I wanted them to do, they found a way to do it. I suggest that you consider them. They are flexible.

We woke one 97 degree July day with no air conditioning. We had just signed the service contract papers with Cunningham, only being in the house for 3 weeks so far... We called them and they came out within hours and the service person worked for quite a while doing a regular maintenance and fixing our problem. He was great, albeit kind of chatty. The house was cool again by dinner!

They did a very professional job from the beginning to the end. I have had no problems since they did the install no July 7'th. They came out when they said they would and did a great job.

I had estimates done with different people. The pricing was worth it. They were fine, the installation was good.

They come every year to provide maintenance. I would recommend their services.

They are first class. I am a retired contractor and they worked for me when I first moved in 15 years ago. Ever since, I have recommended them to others. I talked to them while they were working and they did a good job, from my personal experience. They are also a very reliable oil and LP gas supplier in the area.
