Two Men And A Truck

I had used Two men and a truck 4 times for all my moves. My recent experience was the worst I’ve ever had. My quote was for 4.5 to 5 hours at an estimated total of $1400. I had everything packed in boxes with the exclusion of our record collection which was all in crates (and we previously advised them of this during the quote). It took them 10 hours to move and they charged us double what we were quoted. They were incredibly disorganized and careless. All boxes were clearly labeled, yet they left boxes wherever, stacking heavier items on top of items clearly labeled “fragile”. My entire dish set was completely shattered! Other items were broken, furniture chipped and floor scratched. I’ve been trying for a month to speak to someone and get a resolution but they don’t seem to care about their customers because they don’t call me back. The movers seemed to be purposely taking longer to move items and lied about the number of furniture pieces we had when they reported their final report to their bosses. Will never use them again as they hold no accountability or respect for their customers.

It worked out pretty well. We had somebody we had used previously for some reason they never wanted to return my call. So I didn't think much of them. Two Men and a Truck responded with the right price at the right time. They estimated it at five and a quarter hours and they guys did it in three and a half.So whatever the estimate was, it was not what it cost me. They offered to come in and box things up and everything but my wife and I are totally anal retentive. We rented a truck ourselves just a little panel truck and moved a bunch of stuff ourselves. We're ion ou r50s and we moved from a second floor apartment so we basically hired to do all the heavy lifting. Nothing really stood out. The guys were professional. We said this stuff goes, that stuff goes. They just started picked it up and started hauling. We got to the location , we just pointed and they dropped stuff off where they needed to be. Courteous. The company misnames\d because three guys showed up with a truck.

Great. Excellent staff in the office who were flexible and helpful in the planning of the move date. Pricing was better than a couple of other companies. They provided a flat rate for the move which they honored even though it required more time than originally quoted. Moving staff were friendly and careful throughout.

The two men who came to move our office were punctual and professional, and they worked carefully and quickly despite some unfortunate moving-day rain. Best of all, they were done 2.5 hours sooner than the estimated time, which meant we paid less than the original estimate. We have used this company before and will be using them again for future moves.

I paid these guys a lot of money to move me twice - home to temporary storage and then from storage to my new home. My mistake was not buying the extra insurance. But I DID paid them extra to protect my wood furniture. Everything was supposed to be wrapped and padded. I told them cost was no object, I wanted everything well protected. Well, several of my wood pieces (kitchen table and nightstand) were damaged and a glass shelf was broken. I wanted a refund on what I paid for extra padding and protection (about $110) but they told me the best they can do was $48 for the "per pound" insurance. I passed on the token offer. Bottom line: these guys were pleasant when taking your money, but good luck with anything else. In my opinion, they do not care about referrals, repeat business or customer satisfaction. In fairness to their employees though, they were polite and extremely punctual. I just won't be using them again.

This is the second time I've used this mover. Prices a fair and the guys they send are always ready to work. When they start to pack, they realized the estimator estimated low and there weren't enough boxes estimates and the time was very tight. The estimator counted my cabinets rather than looked in them to see lots and lots of glasses and kitchen stuff. Either way, the two guys hustled to get in done in the 7 1/2 hours that was estimated and I have to give them credit, they did it. I didn't have one broken item or any nickel and diming lot you get from a lot of movers. I hope I don't have to move again for a long time, but if I do, I will go back to Two Men and A Truck. You can count on them.

My entire home buying/selling process has been a nightmare this time around. Everyone EXCEPT this company were liars, and very disrespectful. This company went out of their way to accommodate me and my nightmare schedule. My closing was all messed up and they did everything short of letting me stay at their homes to help me out. I did incur some extra fees due to the troubles but all additional fees were more than reasonable considering what I was asking of them. From the time the moving crew showed up they worked at max speed and efficiency. The lead on the job seemed like a great boss to have. He knew his job very well, was punctual and respectful. It was a summer move so it was very hot but that didn't slow these guys down. I mean, I was really in shock how fast a "by the hour" company worked. They earned their money! When I speak of the lead I also caught him encouraging his guys, telling them that they were doing a good job (they really were). They did nothing to indicate that they expected a tip but they certainly earned one. They treated my stuff like their own. There were a few things that got dinged here and there but they would have been much worse if I had done it. I can't sing the praises of this company (and franchise) more. The were THE ONLY reliable professionals during my whole buying/selling process. I'll be writing a much more detailed letter to the company.

I was very happy with them. I would give them A's all the way down the line.

The first time I called and talked to Kenny I knew that this was the right company. He was able to give me and estimate of the cost based on the information that I gave him. He informed me that the estimate would be adjusted based on the actual. I had to call the office two other times and each time my questions were answered. The day of the move went like clock work. They arrived on time and the men went over the paper work and explained what was going to happen. They immediately started loading the truck first with the belonging that were going into storage and than what was being moved to the new place. The were so professional and great to work with. The best part was they finished both jobs way before the estimate and at the end the final bill was adjusted for the actual just like I was told. The cost of the move was less than we estimated and that is a first. The last move was a move from h*** and I won't mention who the company was but this was a move from heaven. I would use this company again and thanks for making a difficult move pleasant. I would also like to thank Willie and Michael the two men who actually moved us. They were so nice and so professional and they represented the company in a first class manner. Thanks again

Our packing team and moving team were both prompt, professional and willing to go above and beyond for us. Our expectations were exceeded. We highly recommend them!

I got a truck and a few friends no aggravation and beds moved within an hour.

Everything went very well, this move was quite involved, from a 2 story town home, with very heavy furniture, and a large bar that needed to be moved out the back door and brought completely around to the end of my block to get it to the truck. Upon arrival at new residence they literally had to remove an outside screen door to get the bar inside, and did so with no complaints and handled all without a problem. Cinco, David, and Anthony did the loading in Davie, Fl, and Cinco and David did all the unloading here in Ft. Myers. What a great team all round!

The team of 3 gentlemen (yes, true gentlemen) arrived on time, they did not waste anytime and started loading up the truck after inspecting what needed to be moved. The furniture was wrapped with shrink wrap and carefully moved. They were very nice, courteous and professional, carefully moved the furniture up the stairs. One of the pieces was over sized, I still don't know how they managed to lift it up the narrow stairs. Since the new house had laminate flooring, they were very patient and held the furniture up for us to attach felt pads on the bottoms. They were right on target with the estimate, with no damage to any of the pieces including a disassembled oddly shaped corner desk.

I needed somebody for a quick job and they were able to help me. They were more than courteous and efficient. They were also professional.

Jeremy was the contact on the phone. Easy to talk to and very nice to deal with. Movers showed up on time and were professional, courteous and made the move very painless. No surprises, fair pricing and would highly recommend.

They were very cordial and professional. The office workers as well as the movers were both great.

The salesman (Kenny) who came to assess our home and give us a price-quote was extremely professional, but that’s where the positive review ends. He came equipped with a tiny printer and was extremely friendly and helpful – gave the illusion that Two Men And A Truck would be a polished company worth the additional cost. Boy was I wrong. We scheduled the packing for one day and the moving for the next day. The packers did a fine job – faster and more efficient than I could be, but they did a poor job labeling boxes, and I found myself working extremely hard to ensure they worked the full amount of time, didn’t leave a ton of empty space in each box (those things are expensive!) and that they made notes of where items should go in the new house. At the end of day one I was exhausted, but not terribly dissatisfied. Day 2, move day. The movers arrived on time – the only plus for the day. They were rough with my furniture and didn’t wrap delicate pieces like my white fabric chairs (which are now ruined, with handprints and scratches), my china cabinet (which has a broken door) and my bedroom dresser (which is broken). Many of my picture frames needed retouching from scratches and scrapes as well. They didn't pack lunch for themselves, and told me that they needed me to go pick them up something, or they’d need to take an hour long break. That sounded a lot like blackmail to me, but since they were running slow, I went and picked up lunch. When I returned, the security guard at my building let me know that they had been messing around, and were wasting a lot of time – he was worried they wouldn't be done by 4:00 which is the cutoff time for movers in my building. He was right….Even though they’d been at the complex for five hours, they weren't halfway done. Even though boxes were labeled (Kitchen, Bedroom etc), they put things in random parts of the house, and wouldn't follow direction regarding where to put furniture. At the end of the day, I told them I wouldn’t sign the completion papers unless they moved furniture into the right places. They also didn’t give me the Angie’s List discount, and told me I’d have to call the office to get reimbursed. I asked him to call the office right there from my home, and after resisting for five minutes, he finally agreed – and I got my discount. The story went from bad to horrible when I followed up about the damaged furniture. It’s September 3rd now, and I still have not been compensated for the MANY pieces of furniture they damaged. They hire a service company to come try to fix things….that company is extremely unprofessional. Instead of scheduling a time to come fix things, they call you the day before and let you know a serviceperson will be in your area TOMORROW. Unless you don’t work, it’s impossible to schedule with them – they have the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. The first time we scheduled an appointment, I took off from work, and they cancelled halfway through the window of time because it was RAINING. Seriously? The second time around, the serviceman arrived after the mulit-hour window was already over, with a tiny box of paints and sprays….he wasn’t able to fix ANYTHING that was damaged. Emails went unanswered, no one ever called with any interest in addressing my concerns, and at one point someone offered me $100 to just go away. After sending them actual price quotes to repair the furniture, they upped the offer to $200. Then the man who offered the payment stopped working for the company. I will likely take the money rather than stay engaged in this debacle for the rest of the year....but I feel that my possessions were handled poorly, and that their customer service is severely lacking. Bottom line? There are so many movers in South Florida – I do NOT recommend using this company. They are highly reputable in other cities, and their national brand and service reputation is far superior to the local product. The South Florida operation was SERIOUSLY unprofessional. Poor quality, bad experience. Take your business elsewhere.

They did a great job. They were very careful and I would recommend them.

Company kept in touch with me both before and after the move. Ian and Derrick arrived on time, took really good care of my belongings and completed the move in a timely manner.

They were good. They gave me a decent price, a decent deal. They sent in three guys, who were very efficient. I was very happy with them. They were polite. They were on time. There was storm for 10-15 minutes, they stopped the clocks for that. They were very serious. They were very careful about walls and the this place, which was just been painted and the floors had just been polished and they were very very careful about that. They were just good.

It went very well, so well in fact that we're using them this month to move again. They were timely, courteous, and careful. Other people I've talked to have good things to say about them too.

Called and set up appointment and discussed charges . The truck and guys showed up right on schedule and were fast and provided equipment to get the job done fast ,also shrink wrapped some wood pieces of furniture so they didnt get scratched . they did all this quick and ishmail and his buddy had great attitudes to boot. They made the move no hassle and easy.....without ripping me off

I would definitely use them again. I think they did a good job. We had a lot of stuff and they were able to fit it on one truck. Everything came together and not mixed with anyone else's belongings. And everything was pretty much undamaged.
