I have had service on my shutters before by a different vendor and was very disappointedâ ¦..not this time. Suncoast did an exceptionally thorough job in servicing and maintenance of my 18 year old shutters. After completion they walked me through and showed me everything they did. I feel very comfortable I am ready for hurricane season.

My accordion hurricane shutters were at the point some of them wouldnâ t open and others wouldnâ t close. Sal and his assistant did an excellent job of getting my shutters back in operating order. They identified a broken wheel, which I will call Suncoast Awnings again to replace the wheels.

NOTE: This review applies to accordion hurricane shutters, but is posted under awnings because I couldn't find a category specifically for hurricane shutters. Sal was courteous, efficient, and conscientious. He and his assistant repaired the accordion shutter system around our large butt glass bay window so that the shutters would open and close easily. The tracks were installed with very sharp angles at the points of the bay window, making it very difficult to work the guides around the tracks. The job involved removing the entire shutter assembly, replacing all the wheels on the vanes, grinding down the sharp angles on the tracks, reinstalling the vanes, and lubricating all the moving parts. It was a difficult and time-consuming process, but Sal made sure that everything worked correctly by the time he finished. He showed me how to open and close the shutters in the future without damaging the mechanism, and he serviced the two other sets of accordion shutters on our home. I also enjoyed working with Holly on the phone to schedule the work. She was a pleasure -- very knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend Suncoast Awning and Shutters.

This became a huge job,The window shutter is operated with electric motor,The cover over the track was more than 12 feet wide and was last removed about six years ago,All screws were rusted and time consumption to drill them out ,Motor was ordered ,new motor put in yesterday,Housing was all cleaned like new,All patio furniture put back in order and personnel were first class and professional, Any contact with office was very reassuring,Holly was always very upbeat and professional,great company,Owner always on job site,

They asked for half of the total down payment without even starting the work. They did not get it from me, but, they still did the work! To me, it seems senseless to charge without working.

Sal came with his assistant at the prescribed time and date. They were extremely helpful and fixed the stuck electrical shutters with no problems. They were neat and clean explained everything. I would certainly use them again which is my best recommendation.
