Pool Guard of Southeast Florida

First time using Angie's list. John contacted me as soon as I put in the request for service and was able to get to my house and give me a quote within days. By next week he told me the date and time he was going to do the installation and finished the job quickly.

Scott was great. He came out the day after initial contact and installed one day later. He was extremely knowledgeable and definitely takes pride in his work. He walked us through all of our options as we had an old fence that wasnt installed properly. He provided us with an initial solution to our problem for a very inexpensive price, but we opted to go with a new install with much better quality "Pool Guard" product and a much nicer and cleaner look. The new screen has larger grid mesh, so the visibility is much better than it was previously. Would highly recommend Scott and the Pool Guard product as we are thoroughly pleased with the whole experience.

Very quick response, received a estimate very quickly. The service member was also on time the day it was done. I was grateful they showed up at the scheduled time. Great service!

I am extremely busy, and therefore I shy away from spending time doing reviews. However, this particular experience was so good in comparison to any other contractor of any kind, that I felt compelled to write a review. When we called to request an estimate, Dave (owner) agreed to come on the next morning (which was convenient to us since I did not work on that day), and he had also agreed that, should we decide to do the work, he would have a crew ready to come in the afternoon to do the job on that same day. Dave was here on time. He was very courteous and patient with us (we are very picky). He had samples of all possible options, and explained the pros and cons of each very clearly. Given his professionalism, the track record of his company (a Nationwide company), his attitude, the fact that we liked one of the options and that on top of everything his price was the best from all 3 companies we had gotten estimates from (not by much, but still a plus on top of the other factors), we decided to go with him. Another plus: we did not have to pay one penny until the work was completed. As promised, he came back that same afternoon to do the job and finished on that same day. We were not sure about the colors, and he had no problem bringing full sections of the 3 different options we were deciding for, to be put in place right after the holes where made, so we could see exactly what they would look like once installed. It is not the same to see samples (one square), than to see full sections installed in the holes as soon as these were made. Dave was so helpful in helping us make our decision, with a genuine drive to make us happy, rather than the face of impatience we've seen in other contractors. He made us feel very comfortable, not in a hurry. Technically speaking, they knew well what they were doing and explained it clearly. Gave us choices on the configuration, listened to our wishes and performed the installation in a very effective way, so that the U-turn configuration would not require customized pieces on both sides (just on one) and yet look aesthetically good. The crew was courteous, careful and neat. When the work was done, my wife -who's pickier than I am- saw a tiny scratch on the inside of the latch gate which to me was irrelevant (given the size of it and the fact that aluminum doesn't rust). But this was an issue for her. As minimum as it was, without hesitating, Dave promised to address this either by touching up the scratch if that were possible -after consulting with the manufacturer- or by replacing the whole latch gate. A couple of days later, Dave installed a brand new gate. He said he would come back for anything we need (for free for whatever has the lifetime warranty), and we have no doubt that we can count on him even if we need him 10 years from now. Have I said enough? Best all-around service we've ever received from an installer.
