Description of Work: Although the job did not actually occur, Daniel was extremely polite, understanding, helpful and professional. His brother came out to give quote on the job and then a day later, I traveled to his store to look at options. I met Daniel there and he was very helpful with picking out tiles and explaining the process. I was excited to get the job going and due to his schedule it was a few weeks out. Long story short, I paid a deposit, was ready to go and out of nowhere, had a very large unexpected personal expense occur and had to cancel or at least delay the job. I called Daniel and he was very understanding and promptly mailed my deposit back.

Description of Work: They installed laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms, the upstairs hallway and stairs.

Description of Work: I hired Daniel Flooring to install laminate flooring in my 600 square foot condo. From my initial contact with the company, they were very professional. I went to their showroom to select the flooring and Bruce was very helpful. The installers were very good and kept my condo clean as they worked. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to others in my building.

Description of Work: I called Danny and he set up a time for his person to come over and measure and quote me a price. The estimator came exactly on time and was extremely pleasant and quickly measured and gave me a good price. I did get a discount for being an Angie's list customer. The day of install the installers were prompt. I got two bedrooms that had carpeting replaced with laminate flooring. One room was the master and had the vanity area and walk-in close done too. I was a little worried because I left the two installers in my house by themselves since I had to work. When they were moving my bed, one of the installers found $60 of my money that fell under my bed. I thought that was incredible honest of him to return my money.

We had called ahead to say that we'd like a quote, and as we were out of town, Daniel told us he could send someone the next day for measurements if we could make sure his guy could get in. This was arranged. It was a little busy on the Saturday morning we first went in, and and a man named Chuck helped us with the tiles. It seemed quite obvious that this place wasn't out to hustle a quick sale. These were people who seemed to be able to answer questions asked, and that didn't push. I didn't really know what to expect regarding what kind of flooring to purchase (ceramic vs other), and there were no prices shown on anything, so it was difficult to know if we were looking at tiles that cost $40 each or $1 each. Finally we just picked a couple of tiles just because they had the word "SALE" written on them. Chuck encouraged us to bring a few tiles home to choose a colour. We did this and we came back the same day. Since they already had our measurements, all we did is say which tile, and Daniel told us how much. Based on past experience, it was in the range of what we were expecting. We also needed sound proofing because it was a condominium. And then we were asked if we were interested in a baseboard, and that was added in the price as well. Included in the final price was all the paperwork (licences?), ripping out and disposing of the old carpet. Purchase of the tiles. Installation of the tiles throughout the condo. Installation of the the baseboard throughout. Cleaning afterwards.

Description of Work: We had 800 sq ft of laminate flooring installed with cork underlayment and 5 1/4 base boards installed and painted.The floors look amazing compared to our old carpet. I went to 5 different flooring companies and choose Daniel Flooring on the first impression I received from them at their showroom and from reviews from Angies List. Description of Work: I am new to Angies list and this was my first experience using a contractor on the list. I called Daniels flooring to have them come out to a home I am purchasing to quote me for installing engineered hardwood on approximately 1600 sq ft in 5 bedrooms, hallway and stairs. The man who came to the house to give the estimate was late, measured the area in less than 15 minutes, scribbled the measurements on a scrap paper and told me he would get back to me with estimate for installation. He brought with him some samples - which he told me were laminate - which I couldn't believe because they looked like real wood, he didn't know pricing at all and ultimately, before he left after i questioned him again about the samples, he disclosed that the samples were in fact engineered wood, not laminate, " but it comes in laminate which looks exactly the same" he said. He encouraged me to come to their 5,000 sq ft showroom - which I did the very next day. Their showroom was in an industrial park. It was not the 5000 sq ft showroom i expected. When I arrived there was one other couple in the store. The gentleman in the showroom did not have any prices for the flooring I picked out - apparently only Daniel knows the prices - which I thought strange? Anyway - I waited to get $ from Daniel but he was busy with the other customer, after the other customer left, a new one came in and he just jumped right in with them. I felt ignored while I was there. After all, I Had them out to my house to measure and was a serious buyer - buying and installing over 1600 sq ft of flooring! When I finally got his quote - it was much higher than other quotes I received. I went with home depot. Their measurer came to the house and did a very thorough measure and sketch detailing all the materials I would need and they took moisture level readings to see if extra vapor barriers should be used. There installation price was much less and I found the sales people at home depot much more helpful in selecting a product - all displays has pricing clearly marked. I would not recommend this company.

They negative thing I have to say is they didn't provide me with the estimate to cut the doors when I received the estimate, so that charge was a bit of a surprise to me. But Daniel understood that, and gave me a good price for it, so I am happy.

Description of Work: Service start quickly, had estimate appointment the very next day. David told me I might get good price if I go to the showroom but there I had to go and look around and find the laminates. Since Daniel was like this is above your budget all the time. The area was hallway and living room in condo 420sqft not that larg to cost more. .

Description of Work: Bad customer service at the start. I called for an estimate which was scheduled for 11am on Saturday, June 30 at my residence for ceramic tile. No body showed up and I called at 11:40am to see if they were running late etc...person said they would call me back. Did not call me back. Oh well, so much for following the ratings on Angie's List. :( I still need the work done so if anyone (other than Angie) can recommend someone I am willing to listen.

Description of Work: We used Daniel Flooring, Inc to install flooring for us. They did two hallways which were like half of the house and the living room. We are next going to have them do the kitchen and the family room.

Description of Work: We saw Daniel on Angie's List. We compared his prices to two other contractors. The prices were similar but his price was best and he steered us to a better quality of wood flooring. Daniel installed in excess of 1200 sq feet of wood. We also used him to remove tile and install Travertine in 2 bathrooms, the kitchen and the washroom. We received the initial quote from an employee. After we decided on Daniel, at my request Daniel came to the house to give us ideas and address any issues we had. He was very responsive.Because of some issues in my life, I had to postpone the job two times. his response was always the same -"No problem. Let us know when you want to start". He is incredibly customer oriented and easy to work with. His answer to all questions seems to be: "yes, we can do that." The tile work was done by a young man named Camden, who proved to be a truly gifted tile person. Travertine is more difficult to lay than other tile or marble and Camden was meticulous in his work. He always cleaned up and was always on time. The floors he laid are beautiful.The wood flooring was laid by a gentleman named Pete Balma and his crew. Pete is a retired Navy Petty Officer and his training and attentiion to detail shows. The whole crew was incredible. They were on time, clean, pleasant and perfectionists. If one line was off, Pete would take it up and do it over. The pictures I include will show the quality of the work. They were great also with the furniture, even moving a Baby Grand Piano from one side of the room to the other and back again. They took care to put felt on all the furniture and chairs. I cannot say enough about these guys. All the work was completed promptly and in the time Daniel promised.
