AMI Air Conditioning

I was very happy with everything from ease of appointment scheduling to the professionalism and attention to detail by the tech that did the work. I expressed to him the trouble I have had finding the correct size filters and he followed through by having someone at the office find the filters, quote me the price and offer to order them in for me. I will definitely call AMI for my future AC needs!

Great experience. The technician, Jorge, was very knowledgeable and personable. In the past, I've used a competitor. However, based on the experience with AMI, I feel I have found a new service provider.

They suggested to either replace the whole thing for several thousand dollars or to clean the unit, which was several hundred, if not close to a thousand dollars. But basically it came down to, "You just need to change everything." I got a different company. I got them about two years ago to change my home A/C. They did a good job when they installed my A/C, but the followup has not been very good. Everything is so expensive after that. Then I asked them to do a couple of other services at rental properties and it was quite expensive. The technician was a really nice gentleman and he was very professional. He was very nice. That gentleman was an 'A' Then they sent another one to check the duct work in the attic. That was definitely an 'F' The technician was excellent, the duct work guy was not very good. The technicians were very nice. The cost was very high, it didn't make any sense. The were punctual.

After calling AMI at 8 am, I was told they would send somebody out asap. I had done business with them before, so I knew what to expect. Adam showed up within the hour, diagnosed the problem(had to go to get the proper motor), installed it and we were cool by noon. Outstanding service, Great work ethic, punctual and reasonably priced.

The tech shows up (after the given time frame given but I understood since it was a rainy day) and tells me he is not qualified to report if it is mold or not and I should have been told that over the phone. He takes a look (without removing anything) at the air handler and tells me he doesn't see anything out of the norm for South Florida nor does he look at the air conditioning unit. He tells me about a service maintenance cleaning that can be done. I ask about scheduling the service maintenance and he tells me to call and make another appointment. I pay him and about 15 mins total time he is on his way. I then call to schedule the maintenance and she tells me she will call me back. The day after, she calls and tells me they are 3 weeks out for scheduling. We agree on a time and date. Then I asked if the $75 would go towards the cleaning. She then gets back on the phone and tells me that it will not go towards the maintenance. I ask her why, when I was told that anything ordered during my visit would go towards a service ordered. She puts me on hold and then another lady picks up. She tells me the other lady is new and the service techs can't tell me about all the mold in person but some of the mold he could have. I tell her I was confused because I was told that they couldn't tell me about any mold when now she was saying some of the mold he could have. She tells me I am being "huffy" with her about four times throughout the phone call and finally says that she would call a manager and find out. After being insulted and talked down to for about 5 mins, I tell her I only want to cancel my maintenance that was scheduled. She tells me "I got huffy with her and don't want to solve the problem". She should have only got on the phone to tell me she would check with a manager and get back to me rather than trying to solve a problem out she clearly couldn't handle. I understand people are new and I realize mistakes are made. The problem lies with the way she handled herself after she realized that a mistake was made.

We selected AMI after interviewing several companies. We had another air conditioner that had a small problem and the representative from AMI fixed it at no charge. We didn't ask him to fix it, he just did. That's why we hired them. AMI showed up on time and did a great install. Explained the system. Great company with wonderful people.

I first called them out to fix a blown capacitor. To start they charged be over $100 less to replace it then 2 other companies I had used. They told me that the units were about the age where they might need to be replaced because the coils were breaking down and the capacitor had gone several times in the last 2 years. They told me if I decided to replace them within a couple of days of that service call they would credit me back for the capacitor they installed. Since I was already contemplating doing it, I decided to do so. From the start they were extremely friendly, detailed, explained everything to me before and during the work, and were extremely clean. Barely a trace of anything was left behind. They came with 4 guys and knocked it out very fast. The best part was the guys were friendly, seemed like they thoroughly enjoyed their job, and were just a pleasure to work with. I thought the cost was very very reasonable. I went with 2 new Rheem units and 2 new Rheem air handlers and I paid less than $6,300 in total with the instant FPL credit they give you. I would Highly recommend them.

The initial consultation with the sales representative was very professional and straight forward. The installation crew was efficient and did a great job.

My A/C was not working. Explaining that my husband is on oxygen, I called the office to schedule an appointment first thing in the morning. They told me they would be out that day to check on my air conditioner but could not give me a time. Later in the day, I called because I had not heard anything. They told me they would be out but still could not give me a time. By 5 pm I called to find out what was going on and they said they could not fit me in the schedule for the day unless I wanted to pay an overtime fee of $150.00. I told them that my ac had to get fixed because my husband has a medical condition and is on oxygen. The service man who came out was very nice but still charged me the overtime fee. He told me to call the office the the next morning to dispute the overtime charge. I spoke to Tony who claimed she was the wife of the owner. She said I had the after hour work done so she would not give me a refund. I will NEVER call this company again!

Fixed the problem, within the cost of the diagnostic call. SO happy to finally have found an AC Company that can be trusted!!!!!!!

This was an excellent visit! Company called a half hour prior to the appointment to let me know they were on their way. Jorge was very helpful and thorough and his confidence and capability were appreciated. I feel strong the follow up will be spectacular!

all went well. Steve found the handler problem, located the replacement part, picked it up and returned to replace. later that night the capaciter blew causing on fan to function. called the company and they scheduled steve to return that day around noontime. he found the problem and replaced the part. Trustworthy and very professional;. I would definitely use them on an annual service basis to check on the equipment.

It went pretty good. I purchased a coupon thru angie's list to get the a/c checked as it was not cooling. The contractor checked it out and told me that the breaker was off and the a/c was fine. I do need to replace it as it's 15 years old. I need to put it in the budget.

AMI Air Conditioning provided excellent services. We have previously used AMI. The technician was fantastic as he assessed the problem immediately and quickly fixed it. Another non-list provider, who we had used for over a decade, indicated that we would have to replace both units. Again, the experienced, competent, and very helpful. We continue to use AMI.

AMI service person arrived on time and inspected AC for proper functionality. He determined that the AC was working as expected, but it was at least 1/2 ton under powered for the size of the house. A detailed quote for a properly sized AC system was provided to us within 24 hours. The price for the type of system quoted was very reasonable.

had joined Angie's list less than a year ago (invaluable investment), used to select AMI, called in evening after closed, left a message and completed on line request. First thing in morning had email to call for appt... after talking to intake staff got call back that technician would be here in 45 mins. After checking compressor and air handler, determined it was the thermostat, I agreed to have replaced and it has been working ever since, putting out the best cold air since it (a/c) was installed. I would not hesitate to use again or to recommend to all my friends. I wish all companies had this level of customer service and prompt response. Our technician's name was George.

Well, the problem was the leak and 24 hours later it has completely stopped leaking so I am very pleased.

Was an excellent experience. The associate was very professional and easy to deal with. We had previously bad experiences/ advice with other vendors so appreciated dealing with AMI on this job. We will work with them again and highly recommend them to others.

Serviceman arrived promptly, went to work and 30 minutes later the problem was solved and has worked properly ever since.

Steve came out to inspect the AC Units. He was very thorough and gave me an honest assessment of both AC units in our house. We are actually repeat customers - we used them in October of 2014. No complaints - they are great. You have a lot of options in South Florida, but these guys are great!

We interviewed more than 10 companies. Corey gave us an honest bid and broke it down for us in enough detail that we could see exactly what they would do and how much it would cost, fully disclosing exact model numbers to labor charges. Albert, a senior tech was very professional - no short cuts, "old school" work ethics. We installed RGF purification technology in the air handler, and they did it well. No hidden fees and no price gouging like the other companies out there. Corey followed through on permits and work, showed up when the permit inspector arrived and handled the entire process. No hidden fees, everything included. Cleaned up after the job. Fair pricing, quality service. As a woman, I appreciated Corey being a real gentleman. He took the time to discuss options and never spoke down to me, always helpful. One thing we learned, if you're having your duct system cleaned, get it done just before the new installation, and not the same day. Would not hesitate to recommend Corey and his team without reservations! We were so happy with them we have retained them to do all our A/C service.

Called Angie 's List and the rep. said they do not give back refunds!! Requested to talk to supervisor who said the same thing "No refunds".I said but that you took my money and I did not get the service.Still she said "We do not give back refunds " So basically you took my $49.95 and did not provide the service .

The parts where under warranty so the company only charged for labor.
