+ 0 moreI asked three Angie?s List highly rated landscaping services to bid for the installation of hedge privacy fence. All three vendors were competitive. I selected Rick?s because Ken, Rick?s father, took care to inform me of alternatives that would solve my privacy needs. The project took some time to schedule, and I viewed this as a positive development. I liked the idea that Rick?s was backlogged. The project was completed yesterday and I am happy with the result. The podocarpus fence is higher than the eight feet promised and the retaining wall is beautiful. Rick?s subcontracted the wall construction to Goal Brick Pavers, owned by Paul Ungaro. I expected the wall to be two bricks high, Goal Brick Pavers put in three and used superior materials that are generally not available from retailers. I am delighted with the results and highly recommend both vendors.
Description of Work: Installed a decorative brick retaining wall as a subcontractor to Rick's Landscaping Service.

+ 0 moreIt went BRILLIANTLY! They began work on Monday and were finished on Saturday.
Description of Work: Goal Brick Pavers expertly placed 4300 square feet of clay brick for the driveway, and removed, cleaned and re-laid 1000 square feet of old Chicago brick on a walkway. The company performed major grading of the front yard to enhance drainage away from the driveway as we had a significant drainage problem. They spent many hours shooting grades to engineer the correct drainage. No other company was willing to go to this detail. They had many sprinkler issues in the process of grading and quickly and expertly repaired or moved them as needed. We requested 4" of base material instead of the industry standard of 3" to help with drainage and they complied without issue. They installed two (2) French drains with 3-1/2 tons of rock and piping to ensure that the driveway would remain intact with heavy rains. It is lovely and many neighbors are commenting on the use of clay brick vs. concrete pavers.
