ICAC Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc., is very fair priced, very honest. He fixes what needs to be fixed, he doesn't try to replace the whole thing. He is very knowledgeable. He is very punctual, it's like you call him and he comes right over, he's right there. I will continue to use ICAC in the future.

Hired ICAC Air to inspect an existing HVAC system at a property my client was considering buying. Rick is trustworthy and will not tell you to replace a system that does need to be replaced. He won't gouge you on price. I recommend Rick highly and have recommended him to multiple clients in the past...all with good results.

Rick arrived and began troubleshooting the situation. the thermostat checked out fine but there was a problem in the change-over valve engaging to switch from heat to air. Rick started swapping some parts thinking there must have been something at the compressor end wrong. Nothing was fixing the problem. Rick actually went home over night and investigated the unit further in schematics. When he returned he started checking all the wires from the thermostat to the compressor until he narrowed it down to one wire from the compressor to the air exchanger over the garage. Fortunately there was a spare wire in this same harness that he substituted and everything then started to work. He remained for a while testing the thermostat under all types of condiditons and re-checking the change-over valve and the heat and air on the system. Everything worked. Now I have an additional digital thermostat for sale that's almost new if anyone's interested.

I just moved in to a home that had been vacant for over two years. The AC unit looked old, not to mention made some very loud noises when turning on and off. No information from the previous owner or any where near the existing unit as to who even serviced it last. I called this company first after finding them on Angie's List and being listed near by. It was 4PM Friday afternoon and I figured someone would be able to do a seasonal service check around the beginning of the next week. The owner is Rick, and he had just sat down for his dinner when I called but said he still would be glad to come over in about an hour. He arrived, we spoke directly about his background. He explained what he would do for a nominal service check for $50. Once everything checked out on the ground he went up in the attic to check the air handler and added a fungicide and cleared out the drain. He found gaping holes in the air handler and suggested re-taping the openings for an extra fee. He calculated it would only be an additional $20 for taking care of it now which I was all for. He was here about 3 total hours, showed up after 5PM on a Friday when I expected that no one would be available until the following week, and immediately explained his services and rates. He went above and beyond what I ever thought I'd end up with on a after-hours-heading-in-to-the-weekend-unscheduled regular service call.

He arrived and got right to work. After assessing the condition of my AC system, he let me know about it and his opinion of it. He explained my options and completed his work.
