The building process and the relationship with Jason Dees went great until after we moved in and found things that needed to be redone. Simpy put: nothing was redone. The painter Jason used was terrible- they used flat paint in the bathrooms (same paint throughout the house). When we complained to the painter about this, he blamed Jason and told us Jason was too cheap to get the right "good" paint. Also, there are 2 different colors of the paint throughout the house (this is the base paint- the one that's supposed to be the same thoughout). All we can think is that they ran out and mixed incorrectly. In one spot in the house it is embarrassingly obvious. Also, there were several stucco issues with the paint on the outside front entry. We asked Jason to have it fixed. After several attempts to get it fixed, we finally asdked for the paint and told him that we'd paint it ourselves. Instead they brought stucco. At least they brought something. The entry still has the same problems (splotches of one color on the other color- it's a 2 tone entry, but the colors aren't supposed to be splashed on top of each other). We have had major problems with the tile cracking everywhere in the kitchen and frankly, we haven't bothered calling Jason because we know darn well he's not going to do anything about it. We do realize that houses settle- but this cracking is excessive. And our septic has been a fairly constant issue. I've called another plumber and we hope to soon find out if there was a builder mistake somewhere in the line (which is what we suspect since the issues have been going on pretty much since the hosue was built 3 years ago). Last- we constantly have the dishwasher circuit breaker trip...this is odd because it's a brand new house. Once again- could it be a builder mistake (maybe the electrician Jason used was like the paint- the cheap stuff)? All of our ratings would have been A's if Jason had followed up and helped us after we moved in and found issues (which is usually when you find them). Interestingly, he told us that he was not the kind of builder that would be out of the picture after the closing; but that's exactly what he was.
