Description of Work: Mark Styron, owner builder, contracted to build our house on 10/08/2009. The foundation was poured December 2009, two feet short of the level our plan called for so he could avoid the cost of the banisters and steps required at the height we wanted our porch. This was a custom home and he had multiple supplies and appliances installed without our input and we had much difficulty in getting him to build the house the way we wanted, such as windows, tubs, sinks, ect.. The first tub he installed was so cheap and narrow a small frame person could not sit down, his reply was, "Most people just use these to take a shower anyway." I paid extra and insisted he change it before the walls were installed. The fireplace was not build according to the plans and as several other things, we accepted it. The kitchen sink is not vented out the ceiling as it should be, but under my sink and the odor from the septic tank will often flow out of my sink. My kitchen sink was installed slightly crooked in my counter top. My center isle is also placed crooked in the floor as well. I have two electric silver color recepticles showing above my kitchen cabinets. I have three doors you can reach through the open hole and get your dishes ,as he never installed the glass. I have plugs that do not work as well as wall switches that go to nowhere. He placed the starter switch with a white plastic cover in the middle of my brick fireplace. We bought our own kitchen appliances before construction began and the cabinet maker (Pinnacle cabinets, Pensacola, Florida) had the domentions. when the time came to install the double oven, the cabinet was too small and the oven would not fit. Mark and Roy worked for a month and when they finished my wall was knotched out and the sheet rock had large lumps all the way down the side of the oven. We were so up set by that time and Mark suggested we get a piece of stainless steel matching the oven to go down the wall to cover up the mess they made he stated, "I think if you get a piece to match the oven you want notice the wall." During Christma visit, my son fixed it correctly, (he had worked some construction as a young boy.) After a year and three months, he did not finish my home. We moved in Jan. 2010 on his instruction, with multiple things to complete. He never came back. Never use this contractor, he is not honest.
