HORRIBLE. That's how I would sum it up in one word. Let's start with the actual communication to setup the appointment. From the start it was very unprofessional. When I originally talked to Russel I told him we had purchased the carpet but were not ready to install it for probably another month. I told him I would call him when we were done with the painting and tile to schedule the install. Not even two weeks later I get a message asking me if I'm ready for install. Again I told him I would call when I'm ready. Fast forward to the day of the install. I talk to him in the AM and tell him that I am at work but a friend of the family will be letting him in and then I give him the phone number to call when he is on the way. Well, 2 hours later I'm getting calls at my work from this guy asking where my friend is to let him in. He's been waiting for 30 minutes in our driveway. I asked if he had called the number I gave, and he said no. His excuse was he was driving and could not write the number down. Anyway the house was almost empty minus a few pieces of furniture that needed to be moved from one room to the other. And a lone table in a room by itself. Install is finished and we come the next day to inspect and sign off on the work. At first glance everything looked fine, although I was a little bothered by the way everything was just tossed into one room and the table was disassembled. The next weekend we came back to work on the house, to realize all the problems. A. The battery for my 18v drill was stolen right out of the charging cradle. B. After looking the table was broken beyond repair. C. the ONE AND ONLY piece of transition in the house to go from the carpet to tile was REUSED instead of replaced, it was all wavy and used looking with nails sticking up out of it. Ridiculous. So at this point I'm a little upset but patient, so I call Lowes home installation and give them the rundown. They go ahead and start a claim and inform Russel at Eagle Flooring. A few days later I get a call from Russell and I give him the rundown. All i get are excuses about how he doesn't believe his crew could have ever done anything like that. He calls to make an appointment to look at everything. Calls the night before to cancel and says he'll call the next day to rearrange. No call. Then 3 days later a call basically demanding someone be at the house in 20 minutes so he can look at everything. Basically demanding. He looks at everything then calls me and again basically denies everything and practically calls me a liar. Says he has a friend that does woodworking and wants to see if he can fix the table and offers to call me in a couple days. Two weeks later no call. So I go to Lowes and ask to deal with them direct. Then low and behold Russell calls wanting to fix the table. I just deal with Lowes. Got a quote from a woodworker saying it can't be fixed. Not enough, Lowes has their guy look at it and he says the same. 1 month later still waiting for resolution.
Description of Work: Carpet was purchased through Lowes. The installation was subbed out to Eagle Specialty Flooring.
