I called multiple times with no answer. I left a voicemail two of those times and never received a call back. Their lack of responsiveness is surprising and disappointing.

I was quoted a reasonable price from the owner. They were available to come the next day and called when they were delayed. They were professional but friendly. They had a problem with a pole chain saw, which wouldn't work, and they got a late start that first day, and they accomplished about half of the work. So they were supposed to return to finish the next day. (I had spoken with the owner and that is what he said.) When they didn't arrive by 3 PM the next day, I left a message, then another at 4:15 PM. The owner called me back sometime after that and said they would be back at 8:30 AM the following day and they were. They finished the work and cleaned up all the branches. They did a GREAT JOB! I would use them again and highly recommend them!

My home is small, on a small plot, and my neigbors houses are 8 feet from each side of my house. I had sickly, dying trees in my tiny backyard that needed to go. I had four bids for the job. One was $3,750 because they said they could not use a crane to lift tree pieces over the house so it would have to be pieced down and manually carried out and there would be no stump removal. The second was a no show/no proposal - I didn't even try to call them back. The third bid was for $2,800 with no stump removal, and it took them nearly a week to get me the proposal. Then there is Best for Less. I called and talked to Brian about my needs. Brian responded within 24 hours even though I said I wasn't in a rush. He called me immediately after looking at the job and proposed $2,500 WITH stump removal! As soon as I said ok, it was scheduled within another couple days because they had a cancellation. The weather was clear and 65 degrees. I wasn't there when they started at 9am, but I swung by at lunch to see the crane lifting HUGE chunks of tree over my house and into the street where Brian's men were working their tail off to break it down and clean it up. I had to return to my office and Brian called me back at 2pm because they were done. Time to inspect and pay! Let me tell you... I am picky about good work and customer service and I was happy to write that check. Every single man on the Best for Less team was professional, hardworking, and polite. As one of the guys was leaving he assured me my yard gates were closed and some rolls of gardening fence they had to move were put back in place. Again, I cannot recommend Best for Less enough. They were professional, responsive, efficient, and most of all... they did what they said they would do. And they did it nearly 2 hours quicker than they quoted. I could not be happier. Mr. Rudolf and his crew were very efficient in getting the work done. They were able to accommodate the unexpected additional work caused by the storm with no problem. We have used this tree service in the past and have always been very satisfied. For the amount of work we asked them to do the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

You can imagine my shock when my neighbor woke me up to tell me a tree limb fell on my car while I was sleeping! I could not believe it... it was a huge thing, a Y-shaped tree top from an old water oak that straddled the car. Brian came with an assistant first thing in the morning, photographed it for my insurance company, and removed it without causing further damage to my car OR to a nearby out building that was in danger of damage if the limb fell the wrong way. His hoist truck was tied up on another job at the time, so Brian and his helper rigged ropes and pulleys to stabilize the limb, and used their pickup truck to hoist it off my car, so I could drive it out from under. Then they cleaned up the rest of it, and got the scrap wood out of the way. Total charge: $350. It was a great deal that set my mind at ease, and allowed my insurance company contractor to tow the car once it was free of the limb. I am not only happy with the prompt and caring service, when things settle down a bit, I'm going to hire them to take out the rest of the tree that dropped the limb. Thanks, guys! :)

This tree service provided very reasonable cost estimates for the different types of work it was to perform. It did an excellent job in taking the trees out and cleaning up all of the debris. The service's estimates matched the final cost even though a little extra work had been performed upon my request.

The three workers took about 4 hours to complete the job. They were fast and professional. They were very careful to not hit the house as they were cutting branches especially the ones above the roof. They hauled away the brush/small branches and leaves while they left me the large branches cut in short section to be used for my fireplace. They finished with clean the roof and the grounds around the house where they did all the cuts. Price was very reasonable for the work done. Only weakness, very slow and responding to phone calls/call back. took 1 week each time to get someone on the phone (call back after leaving message). So if you are not in a rush, this the company for you!

Called them in the morning, by afternoon they had returned my call and came out to give me an estimate. The price seemed fair so we agreed for them to come out the next day. They arrived promptly and went right to work. The trees were down by lunch time without so much as a twig on my roof - I was very happy with their service.

We live in a 200 yr old forest with tall, huge trees. I had 7 large trees that all seemed to me to be leaning toward the house. I phoned and left a message. I got a very quick return call with an appointment for Brian to come over for estimate. He was very nice and on time. His crew showed up on time and went directly to work. Large equipment was brought in to remove 2 very large old magnolia trees that sat behind my house. It was amazing to watch them work. They did 5 more avoiding hitting my house, a detached garage and a shed. I have to say I was very impressed and the price was the best I had gotten out of 3. I did ask if he was bonded and insured and he provided me with a copy. Don't hesitate to use this guy. Him and his crew knew what they were doing.

- There was a tree overhanging my roof on my 2 story house. My house insurance company said it had to go. Therefore, I needed a tree removal service that had a cherrypicker bucket. A lot so small tree removal services do not have that kind of heavy equipment. - I live out in the county so the tire ruts are bearable. - They were not the low bid and they were not the high bid. They had all of the appropriate equipment and I just liked they way they presented themselves.

Unfortunately, it seldom seems these days that a company lives up to its slogan or name. That's certainly NOT the case with Best for Less Tree Service which does just that! Brian Rudolph and his expert crew removed over 10 large oaks (up to 100 feet tall) and hickories with very little damage done to adjacent landscaping plants or adjacent trees. The crew did an excellent job, was very conscientious about small details, and we highly recommend them.
