HORRIBLE. A potential buyer made an offer to by our home which we accepted and the buyer made arrangements for a home inspector to inspect our home on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 1:30pm. The buyer, her father, her real estate agent and two (2) inspectors (from Homestar Inspections) arrived much earlier than scheduled and launched their inspection activities almost immediately. After racing around, securing my pets, unlocking gates and an exterior door to a storage room I re-entered my home to a flurry of activity and noise. At one point, one of the inspectors and the buyer's father were up the hallway where the bedrooms and bathrooms are. They were POUNDING, BEATING on my walls. I was somewhat concerned for my home and remarked to the buy's RE agent about the ferocity of the inspection. My interior walls are mainly thick layers of plaster over wire & lathe making them about as hard as concrete. So you can imagine how hard these guys were beating my walls for me to be concerned. The next day when I went to take a soak in the tub, one of the walls of the tub surround seemed to be out of place. Upon inspecting the wall, we discovered that a portion of the tiled tub surround had been pushed out of place and chucks of grout had fallen on the edge of the tub and on the floor between the sink and tub. Even the grout-line where the tiles meet the tub was cracked and out of place. I believe that the wall had been damaged by the unneccessary, careless abuse of my property by the home inspector. We communicated this discovery to our agent and sent along pictures of the damage. She informed the buyer's agent. To date, no one on the buyer's end has acknowledged this problem caused by her inspector nor has anyone offered to repair the damage caused by Tobias Condill of Homestar Inspections, LLC, currently registered at: 1408 Ocean Dunes Cir.
