From the first time we met Joe Wise the owner we knew we had made the right call to have Discount Pool and Patio handle the renovation/transformation of our pool and patio. He listened to the basic idea of what we were looking to accomplish and suggested some options that we hadn't considered. He put a great plan together for a very fair price considering the quality of the materials and workmanship that they provided. Both Joe and Natasha were not only a pleasure to work with but were always accessible to answer any questions or concerns we had as were all of the crews that preformed the work. We are completely satisfied with all aspects of the project and if we could give them an A+ rating we would and would definitely recommend them to anyone that is interested in transforming their pool and patio.

The job was incredible, every detain was perfect. The work was quick and painless. The crews did a fantastic job, we are beyond happy. I would very highly recommend Joe and his staff for any pool remodeling job.

I was interested in getting Tumbled Travertine for my patio and front entrance of my home. I contacted Discount Pool & Patio for an estimate. The girl who answers the phone was both knowledgeable and professional. She set up the estimate and Joe, the owner was out a few days later. Joe came out and gave me an itemed estimate the same day. His presentation and knowledge of the business exceeded my expectations and his prices were good. Within 2 weeks of signing the contract my job was completed. The material is of great quality and beautiful. Thank you Discount Pools for a job well done!

The owner came out and explained the process, time-frame, and price. The workers were prompt, professional, and friendly. They made sure to clean up after themselves. I recently had my pool refinished by Discount Pool and Patio. Having been 100 % satisfied with the job, I decided to call them back to install a heater and salt water system. Once again, I can not emphasize enough, how smoothly the job went. Joe the owner came over , gave me a price (totally fair and reasonable) and the entire job was completed within 2 days. Bill came by a couple of times to monitor and check the work, which was perfect...I have been in business for over 30 years, and can state, without hesitation, that the quality of work completed, as well as the level of professionalism of all employees, is a standout. We are very pleased with the product and service. Joe Wise (owner) came out to my house to give an estimate, but since I wasn't home at the time, he called me while he was there and we discussed the plans then. He was very professional and trustworthy on the phone and gave a fair estimate, so we decided to move forward. We later met with Natasha in his office to pick out the design and pavers, and she was a pleasure to deal with, too. End product really looks nice. We have some slightly loose pavers, so we'll wait a little longer to see if they settle better. Joe has assured me we have a one-year warranty, and he's willing to come back and fix these if needed. I would definitely recommend Discount Pool and Patio for similar work again.

I contacted several Pool Companies to give me an estimate on resurfacing my pool as it had not been done in over 12 years. After meeting with the owner, Joe Wise of Discount Pool and Patio I decided to have them do the job. I could not be more pleased with his crew and the outcome of the job. Crews showed up to drain the pool, acid wash it and then refinish it. The crew was knowledgable and professional and the job was completed on a timely basis. I would recommend Discount Pool and Patio without hesitation to anyone needing quality work done on a timely basis at a fair price.

After speaking with the owner Joe, he dispatched someone that day to stop over and take a look at installation details for a pool heater. The following day we agreed on a model pool heater and price - by that evening the pool heater was installed and working. Joe is an upfront no-nonsense kind of guy that exudes confidence in his pricing and service - he delivered on both those points. It was a painless and pleasant experience doing business with Discount Pool and Patio. Great job guys!

FABULOUS WORK! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL! I was very impressed from the beginning of the process to the end. Joe, the owner of Discount Pool and Patio, came to my home for the estimate and I immediately liked him. He's very personable, and it is obvious that the reputation of his company is extremely important to him. The process began immediately after I signed the contract...permits had to be obtained and materials needed to be ordered. Once the permit was issued, work began. The pool was addressed first, draining it, retiling it, resurfacing it. Next, the work on the patio began which was arduous since we had a cement pool deck (circa 1976) which needed to be tiled over with the travertine. The pool deck was also enlarged, so the additional skill was to match the height of the cement-covered travertine with the extension created by taking the grass out and laying the stone on the sand/ground. It was perfectly done. in addition, there was respect for my yard, property and the cleanliness of the job. The project manager, Alex, gave me his cell number to use if I have any problems. Needless to say, communication was great between myself and the staff of Discount Pool and Patio, including Natasha who manages the office to perfection. Here in South Florida, we live in an area where it is difficult to find contractors who do what they say, show up on time and contact you to see how the job fared. This company did all of the above and they are an impressive group of people to work with. I cannot imagine anyone have difficulties with this company!

Contract is signed and work will commence shortly. So looking forward to the finished product.

This is really a mixed review that I've been waiting to write as I want to make sure it's fair and I didn't want to write it when I was angry because I would've given an F grade. First off, I want to say that I am very happy with the end result but I would be remiss in not sharing my experience of extended work delays due to simple lack of supervision. I'm hoping that the company takes this as a lesson learned and will do a better job of communicating and supervision and that new clients will take this as a warning to be on top of them every step of the way. Joe Wise is a very nice guy who is very proud of his business. Unfortunately, if he's not involved, things are not done properly. When he came out to give us our quote, he was very fair and reasonably priced. We have a pool that is over 20 years old that needed to be resurfaced and tiles removed and replaced. We also had them put in a sun shelf as well as a step in the spa and a swim up mini shelf in the deep end of our pool. We had them lay a travertine tile on our expansive pool deck and covered lanai. The job started in January and we were told it would take approximately 6-8 weeks. This job took 6 months. First negative I encountered was going in to pick out the pool tile. The lady Natasha that works at the office is quite unaccommodating. Can I come in on Saturday - um no. Can I come in after work at like 5? Um no - I'm only here until 4. OK well my office is closed on Veterans Day can I come in then? um no - my kid has no school. Ok then I guess I'll leave work early to accommodate your hours. Thankfully I had already in mind what I wanted and found the glass tile that I was satisfied with. In person, she was pleasant but if she were our initial sales person, there would not have been a contract written. Then the job starts. The first week is just draining the pool, removing the old tile. A crew showed up, they scraped out the pool, piled it all in the middle and left (no effort made to cover any drains whatsoever). A couple days later, a man shows up alone to start putting in the tiles. This took him over a week. It was fine, we weren't in a rush, it was January, we don't use the pool in January or February so it was all good. Then a truck drops several pallets of tile on my driveway so I assume someone is going to let me know when they're coming to install. Nope - they just show up. The crew who laid the tile were really excellent. Knew what they were doing and had it done in 2 days. Problem is, they didn't bullnose the tile that was around the edge of the pool so they had to come back to do that (what a dusty mess!). There were also tiles that wound up having to be replaced due to imperfections (which they told us would have to be done sometimes), and due to needing more sand etc. (this was finally done in July) A week later, a pool foreman comes out, his name is Bill. He tells us that they're coming out to start the pool soon. My husband walked through it with him and showed him that our spa has holes in the seats that we want to make sure will remain open. He said absolutely, they will put golf tees or straws into the holes so that they will go around them. The crew came in and poured the concrete for the shelf, steps etc. all good. Then a couple of weeks passed and we called to find out what was happening. They couldn't give us an exact date but they would be out within the week. And by the way, emailing or calling Natasha is pretty much a waste of your time. She doesn't respond or when she does, the response is that Joe will get back to you. Half the time he did, the other half, people just show up. I'm home getting ready for work and a crew pulls up - no Bill - just a crew - they tell me that they're going to be doing the pool finish. (again no communication from DPP that they're coming). I ask them where Bill is, the guy who speaks English tells me he's coming and I wound up having to leave for work. I come home to find the pool finish done and the holes in my spa are completely covered over and the pool is about 1/3 filled with GREEN water which was coming out of my hose. First off, I couldn't believe the water from my hose was this color (but it was - BTW we got a filtration system put on our home immediately), second, I couldn't believe the holes were covered over after we specifically spoke about it with Bill. Bill came down the next morning to take a look and was shocked to see the holes filled. He said, "I told that guy to take the golf tees - he told me he knew what he was doing." (um, I thought these guys were all your employees? Guess you do use subs like everyone else). Obviously Bill never showed up while the work was being done day prior either. He also tells me they probably should've put a filter on the hose for the water but he had no idea the city water was like that. (neither did we). I asked him why they wouldn't have stopped running the water seeing the color? But I think the pool needs to have water once it's done. I don't blame DPP for this part at all. Maybe lesson learned by them is to just insist on a filter in all Parkland pools. So now we had two problems, the green pool and the spa holes So Bill showed up daily and put chemicals in the pool to get it clear - which worked after about a week, except the walls and floor were all stained yellow. The holes, he said he would just drill new ones. So now, they drained the pool, we paid for them to bring out a water filter and they acid washed and re-filled the pool. The drilling of the holes - yeah that didn't work. Apparently when you have PVC that is over 20 years old, it becomes extremely brittle. Now they have to figure out what to do. (it's now March) They come and seal our deck but the tiles with issues weren't replaced. When they sealed the deck the seal splattered all over our brand new summer kitchen stainless steal doors as well as our sliders and other doors out to the deck. We were able to get it off of the sliders and French doors but not off of the stainless steel. They sent a guy out to clean them - he used steel wool - on STAINLESS STEEL - ok guess we have to replace those. We did, and Joe told us to take them off the final payment. Fast forward to first week of May. They finally come to fix the spa. They wind up chopping up the seat and replacing the PVC pipe, redrilling holes, re-finished the spa. Unfortunately, I had to send them an email threatening legal action in order to get them to come and finish this. Not to mention, they were so sloppy when doing this, they threw all of the debris on top of the drain in the bottom of the spa and left giant chunks of it behind even after finishing up. (this was complete around 5/21) So now we're in the spa on Memorial day weekend and the motor turns off after about 15 minutes. We now call Joe Wise. He tells us a pool motor guy will be out on Tuesday. No pool motor guy shows up - just Bill. Over the next few weeks here is what happens: He changes a fuse - that must be it. Um no, it's not. He changes the spa motor - no that s not it either. The spa motor keeps over heating so he puts in an open air "pipe" to pull in more air so it doesn't over heat. Um NO BILL - this doesn't work for us. Why is the motor overheating? Winds up because they were SO SLOPPY when doing all of the demo that the pipes were all clogged. We had to bring in our pool guy to give us this information as they still at this point never brought in a pool motor person. A few more threatening emails are sent... It is now JULY 2. Dead heat of summer, and I still can't use my spa. My husband speaks again to Joe Wise who tells him how lucky we are that we didn't have to pay anything extra and not to worry, he will make it right. Then he tells us how a guy on his crew committed suicide and they were having a rough time. OK on to the next two weeks... Two old men show up and start digging a ditch behind my patio. I have no idea who they are or why they are there. They tell me they're with the pool company and they're replacing the pipe. As usual, no communication from DPP. So now they spent 2 or 3 days at my house running new pipes under ground and to my spa and hook them up to the spa motor. Finally, my spa is running like it should be. It is now end of July. Joe now starts calling for final payment. We ask him to come to the house to look at the finished work which he does and he proceeds to explain once again how "lucky" we were not to be charged extra. I went bezerk - lucky? We're lucky that your mismanagement caused our spa to be ruined? That you sub-contracted out to workers who were not supervised by Bill who had specific instructions and knowledge of the spa holes? That your sloppy workers left so much debris in our spa during construction that it clogged the pipes leading to the motor (note we had the same issue to our pool filter but thankfully it only ruined the replaceable filter which we had to replace 3x before it was working properly). No Joe, you should be thankful that I'm even THINKING of paying you the balance we owe you. This was a very painful, stressful process. I appreciate the fact that DPP finished the job but am not happy with how long it took or the fact that most of the issues were due to their mismanagement. I did pay and they gave us a slight discount for the inconvenience but frankly, in hindsight, I would've paid $5,000 more to have it done right the first time. I would recommend them for certain for a travertine tile patio or driveway. If you have a pool remodel, be prepared to be home while all of the work is being done so you can supervise them.

Discount Pool & Patio remodeled my 28 year old pool and Chattahoochee patio. They did an excellent job. The workers showed up when scheduled and each crew was terrific. My newly remodeled pool and travertine patio are gorgeous. Joe (owner) and Natasha (at the office) were great to deal with. Their price was competitive and I would highly recommend them.

My pool and deck was in need of major repair. I had a large leak because of and old style skimmer that is no longer used and had detached away from the pool. The tile under the copping was falling off because it was placed on top of previous tile by the previous repair man. I had chattahoochee deck that was 30 plus years old, and the surface was coming off in some areas inside the pool. The copping was the old style raised at the edges. I had an ugly pool. I had several pool men come out and give me estimates from 10,000 (not wanting to do everything I was asking for) up to 34,000. Then I called Joe. I was very impressed with Joe the owner. He personally came out to give me an estimate, and was prepared with references and certificates from BBB and other licensing agency's. He was professional in his knowledge and customer service. Me and my husband decided this was going to be the guy. Everything went as planned. At one point I had a few questions and Joe came out and gave me answers and went over and above my expectations. Now I have a beautiful pool, deck and can walk bare foot outside again. We have no leaks and everything is working beautifully. I enjoy everyday looking outside at the finished product. and I enjoy swimming again in my new pool. Joe was the only one that did all of what I was asking for at a great price. I would only recommend Joe compared to the 7 other companies I called for estimates. And if I need him in the future he will be the only pool guy I call. Thanks Joe for everything.

Job was accomplished in 3 weeks. The vendor delivered as promised and was transparent about certain processes of job that other vendors did not disclosed. Processes discussed by DPP were verified. The coping and travertine placement was professionally done by artisans in the business.

Recently I decided to have my pool, pool deck and driveway redone. After looking through several options, not being a wealthy person. I chose the least expensive option and I am extremely satisfied with my decision, because discount pool and patio performed beyond my expectation, the quality of the work was top notch and the employees were extremely professional. The management was more caring than any company that I've previously encountered. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any friend or relative, because I believe they would be happy with their performance.

In advance of the appointment, I was promptly contacted for scheduling the appointment by the friendly/courteous scheduler at Discount's office and on the day of the appointment, Joe the owner was personally and promptly at the house ready to take a look. We had not yet moved into the home and had gone on vacation after closing on the deal. Unfortunately, the pool was green by the time we returned and Joe had that as an obstacle for part of the inspection. Dealing with a first time pool owner, Joe was patient however and explained some of the chemistry and importance involved in keeping it clear at all times. Joe also thoroughly reviewed with me the state of the equipment and schooled me in doing some of the maintenance of it. He very quickly discovered a plug which had been installed by a previous owner which prevented the skimmer from doing it's work. He surmised that the plug was there because there was a problem with the under-deck piping which a previous owner did not want to deal with. Another area of concern by Joe was the water fall area into the pool and he explained what was going wrong with that. Finally, he spent about 20 minutes developing the list of repairs needed along with cost estimates including a larger plan for renovation of the pool area based on my ideas expressed during the appointment. In the end, he provided me with the estimates, marketing brochures, BBB rating and many recommendations in a very professional marketing folder. Joe was very professional and clearly knows what he is talking about based on over 30 years of service to our area. My $150. was well-spent on this inspection and is also credited back to me if we move forward by having his company do the repair and/or renovation.

Contractor did an execellent installation. Good job. We are pleased with the results.

Discount pool did a great job on the pool and deck. It looks great. They also installed a New Tech Industries waterfall.

We have a large backyard and we spend a great deal of time enjoying it. It was time after 11 years to make it new again. We were very concerned about quality and of course price. We had many companies to choose from. After reviewing a few presentations, it was Joe who made us feel the most comfortable. Everything he said his company did. Actually that's not true it came out better than I anticipated. The pavers look fantastic. They workmanship was first class. The pool looks great and the new tile was the finishing touch. I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend Joe and his company.

This company is the best. I had contacted 2 other companies prior to Discount Pool and one never came back with a quote and one never showed. When I contacted Joe he came right out next day and we went over the whole job piece by piece. Let me tell you this was not an easy job to tackle. We had bought this house last year and the pool and pool area had nothing done in over 12 years and was in very bad shape. The only good thing that could be said of the pool at this point was that it held water. Joe outlined what needed to be done to get the pool and deck area to where we wanted and we signed that day. I feel that the price quoted for this was very resonable considering what was being done. Shawn and Russell did the prep work to get the new coping and tile put in along with some crack repairs and new return lines, mid suction line, and new skimmer. These guys worked very hard to get everything right and the pool tile is so level that the water line is dead centered on the new tile all the way around the pool. I can't say enough good things about these guys. This is the heart of the pool renovation and it was perfect. This job required a new paver pool deck where previously there was chattahoochee and it had to be chipped off along with extending and increasing the size of the paver deck. The crew did an amazing job. Finally the pool resurfacing crew came in and spent 2 days and the whole thing was done !! The end result is great and I can't thank all the folks over at Discount enough for a great job. I'm fully aware that any large company has multiple jobs going at any one time and my job may not get continuous attention during the process. The only reason for the B rating in responsiveness is a little better communication when work is going go be happening would be nice. We had a couple of gaps in work being performed where we called to find out when the next step was going to happen. No big deal and this doesn't take away from the great work that Discount pool did. If you want a good company that gets it done then this is the one.

Joe was beyond punctual as he showed up even earlier than the scheduled start time, which was appreciated. He was very professional and courteous throughout. He took his time going through a meticulous inspection while explaining to me at each step what he was looking for, how the equipment was expected to perform, and answering all questions in detail. He provided the written report later in the same day and made a follow up call a few days later to see if I had any additional questions. I would hire this company again. Recommend.

The service was excellent as always. This provider is always on-schedule and punctual. My pool is always crystal clear blue and clean. I never have any issues and this is one thing that I never have to worry about. I wouldn't use any other company.
