Checked out Angie's List and Tropical Garage Doors was cheaper than all the coupons listed. It was less to replace both springs than to use the coupon for one. Called. Set an appointment. He called before arriving to ask if he could come earlier. YES. We talked and he proved to be professional and knowledgeable. Had all his own equipment and tools. Had spare parts with him. Replaced both springs. Examined the system. Gave info about my door and system. Fixed all the squeaks in the door. Now the quietest door in the neighborhood. Even the dog doesn't hear it open. Reported that the bearings that should be there were missing and replaced it at a reasonable charge. Gave advice on how to reduce excess heat in garage with insulation. All done in a short time. Left the work area clean. I hope to never have to call him again but IF I do have garage door problems they will be the first I would call. I asked for a sticker on my door just in case. They did what they said they would do, did it when they would do it, and did it well. BUT, I forgot to ask for a Senior discount. Still, very satisfied. I wish all contractors had this level of customer service, work ethic, knowledge, and manner.

Punctual, efficient, professional, pleasant. Based on recommendations of Angie's List and the fact that they are a family-operated corporation, did not get other estimates. The quality of workmanship is excellent. Unsure of quality of product but it appears to be better than the garage door panels that were replaced.

They were very prompt, explained exactly what the problem was, had everything to work with right on the truck, and gave us a one year warranty!

This is a customer focused, professional operation. Due to my schedule and theirs, they agreed to come to my house at 9PM to do the repair. They were on time, completed the job in less than half and hour, cleaned up and tested their work. Highly recommended.

I have used Tropical on a few occasions and always found them professional and competent. They installed a new garage door and motor for me. Everything was seamless and worry free.

He did have seasoned firewood and was in the area when we called. Had really great wood the same day. The wood is some of the best we have had at a very reasonable price.

Tropical Door replaced the builder grade garage door with a hurricane rated garage door. They also replaced the garage door opener. They were prompt for both the estimate appointment and the installation appointment. They were extremely professional and did an excellent job with the installation.

Rewired garage door opener and adjusted tension cables

I called this company late in the afternoon and they came out the next morning. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. He made the repair and offered some good advice on maintaining the door. He did not try to up sell me.

The tenant at this rental unit had closed the garage door on a bucket sitting on the floor next to the garage door track. Since the door came down hard on the bucket, it threw the door completely out of alignment and the door would not work at all. The tenant had tried to fix it, along with several of their friends, including one friend from a well known garage door company competitor. When the service tech from Tropical Doors arrived and took a look at the problem, he immediately could tell someone had attempted to repair or cover-up the malfunctioning opener. He quickly assessed the problem, made the adjustments and had the door working properly in less than 30 minutes. It was great!

Called them as listed in the Yellow Pages to service my garage door. They arrived with two hours. Told them it was not an emergency but required service that day. The technician replaced both springs. and serviced the (metal) garage door. Took about an hour to complete the work.

Everything worked out fine. I had no dislikes about the company or the opener. I knew what I wanted when it came to the purchase, and they had the product ready to install. The installation was flawless. Overall, I had no issues with the work. Right by the inside opener, they put their company sticker so I who exactly who to call if problems occur.

They are good guys to work with. We contacted another company before Tropical about the roller issue. That company said we had to replace all of the rollers. I contacted Tropical and they said they would replace just the one roller. Everyone I have worked with at Tropical has been very professional, honest, personable and easy to work with. Their pricing is very reasonable compared to other companies. Any garage door work I need, they are the ones I would go to. I would give them an A+. I have been very happy with them.

Everything turned out fine. I contacted them in the morning and they sent a technician out later that day and were able to get the work done the same day. They were very responsive to my initial call. The technician was very professional and explained to me the most cost effective ways to handle the problem. Overall, this was a good experience. If I need them again, I will give them a call.

I enjoyed having them. They came out the same day I called them. The pricing is reasonable and the technicians know me and my garage doors. They do a quick yet efficient job. When they are done, they do a nice job with clean up. Overall, I am very happy with their service.
