Christopher Barnes was professional, answered my questions, showed me what needed to be done and did it, and I can't rave enough about the good service I received. I would highly recommend your company, especially Christopher.

This company should be ashamed of themselves! They totally took advantage of my 91 year old mother. Sold her on a new system, despite the fact she called for her unit not cooling as well, not broken, less than ten years old. The sold her on their "Advantage Plan" which equates to Leasing the system for ten YEARS! before you own it and paying a total of 26,000 for a 8K Lennox System. IF that isn't bad enough they place a UCC Financing statement on your home! Basically a lien, so if your loved one passes away, be AWARE you will end up paying their contract off to the tune of the full ten year amount. Be CAREFUL your elders don't default on the loan, their home is used as collateral. Stay AWAY from them. They also talked her into buying and financing new ducts, and then fell through her ceiling, and did a horrible popcorn mess of a repair and left it with no paint. I had to contact them to come paint it, and then the clowns stapled the protecting plastic to the walls when the sprayed it with Primer only. Horrible company. Shame on you all. Shame Shame Shame. People who take advantage of the elderly have no place in business! Please protect your elder parents, aunts uncles and friends.

Do not use these clowns. First of all, they are not honest our air conditioning unit stopped cooling our house, so my wife contacted this company to come out and take a look at it, but of course her being at the house by herself, and being a woman, she was obviously seen as an easy target to try to rip off and take advantage of, they proceeded to tell her that our AC unit needed a new compressor which would cost $3000 and then told her that it wasn’t worth it and tried to upsell her a unit that costed around $20,000. First of all, we are not stupid. The average cost of a residential central air conditioning unit is around $6000 not $20,000. For a commercial unit maybe. They then charged her $99 as a diagnostic fee. The very next day we had an honest contractor come and take a look at our air conditioning unit and he said it was just a faulty capacitor. He replaced the capacitor and we only paid $279 for the part and labor. Anyone who reads this, if you still use this company, then you deserve to get what you get.
Description of Work: They lied and said that we needed a new compressor which will cost us $3000 when we only needed to replace the capacitor which only cost a few hundred

I wrote a negative review previously after having a technician do something that caused my A/C not to cool. I called the company back and they sent out a seasoned expert to investigate. He put some coolant back in so the system would function. He was professional, knowledgeable, and greatly appreciated, and the customer service was above average. Angie's list doesn't allow a person to go back in to edit a previous comment/rating. My experience after this follow up is A+++, so I hope this 'A' to offset the 'F' I gave yesterday will help some.

Let me preface this by stating that Service Experts just purchased my exisiting AC service company and this is my first time using them. The techncians that service are so far A+ as they know what they are doing and are very professional. My issue is that they send a sales person to try and sign you up for things you don't need. Case in point, they signed me up for a 6k duct work replacement without even going into the attic to look. Luckily when the techs came out they inspected and told me it wasnt needed. This kind of sales tactic is one that could make me look elsewhere for my next unit.

The unit started failing after they serviced it on the initial visit. On the second service visit, the tech spent almost all visit petting the dog and did a superficial check to the unit (5-10 min). He said he was supposed to check the ducts in the attic but didn't have time to do it because he needed to travel to another appointment. They did work hard, however, at trying to sell us a new unit.

I had a Service Experts technician come out a couple months to diagnose a problem with our downstairs AC unit. He told me the entire blower motor would need to be replaced and quoted me a very high dollar amount ($1800? Parts and labor I believe) that my wife and I agreed to get a second opinion on. The technician told us he understood and not to worry because he could hook us up and he had a "regulator" that he had removed from another customer's bad blower motor that was being junked and that while it wasn't a directly compatible part, our issue may be caused by a burned out regulator on our own motor, and this one could be used as a stop gap until we could replace the whole thing because the blower motor manufacturer for our system doesn't sell the regulator separately. I thanked him for his thoughtfulness and while it was not a perfect match for the broken regulator he removed from our blower motor, it has kept the blower semi-operational since that time. I did get other quotes that were significantly less expensive and I also looked up the replacement part cost to do the job myself, and found the complete motor with regulator for under $250 new online. I got a call from a woman in the Service Experts office earlier this week telling me that they are calling the police to file a complaint against me for stealing their property, and that they had offered to sell me the used regulator for $350 but had not received payment, and had proof of this because they had recorded their previous phone calls with me. The only previous phone calls they had with me were ones in which they asked to schedule the installation of the brand new blower motor assembly for the full $1800 (?) price tag and I told them I wasn't ready to do that because I was still getting other quotes and investigating my options. It wasn't until about a week or two ago that I informed Patrick that I had decided against going with Service Experts and that I would be using another vendor and confirmed that I would be happy to return the regulator their tech gave me after that happened. I informed the woman that called me that it is illegal in the state of Florida to record phone calls without both parties giving consent to the recording. I never consented to being recorded on any phone call with Service Experts. I am shocked and dismayed that the owners and/or management of this company would allow this woman to call customers and threaten them with criminal action like this. I guess it just goes to show that the technician wasn't really trying to do me any favors, but rather was just trying to get his hooks into us and attach strings to bind us and force us to use them for the follow-up work. Well, now I am going to tell all of my neighbors and friends and families to not touch Service Experts with a ten foot pole.

I am a property manager. This company posts fancy ads online. We had a technician come out on June 30, 2017, and he diagnosed the issue as needing a new thermostat. Our tenant in the house authorized the repair, and SERVICE EXPERTS charged us $450 to replace the existing thermostat. I googled the product that they installed, and it's available online with free shipping for $97, so this company charged us over $350 for an hour of their time to install a thermostat. I would never ever use this company again.

Our A/C broke in the afternoon on a Sunday. We have an infant so getting the A/C back was a top priority. We called a few different "24-hour" a/c repair companies, but Service Experts was the only one who was willing to come out as it was already past 9:00 pm (and still very hot!). We were a little uneasy about the $99 charge just for the service call but the technician was wonderful and we got the part, the repair and a 1 year service plan for $315! I would say it was well worth it!

Service Experts has taken care of our HVAC for several years. They always are prompt, coming when they say they will and calling to confirm before they arrive. The employees are always respectful of my property and have advice to give me regarding how to best care for our equipment. I have also had emergency situations where I've had to call for service and they always respond quickly. They will try everything to get the AC working again before they leave. I would highly recommend Service Experts to anyone.

I renewed my service maintenance contract with Service Experts - Orlando. They paid for the whole thing. I have a 10-year warranty on a Linux system, all parts and labor. I paid extra for it when I bought my system and I've used it several times and it really works. I would recommend people to go see them.

A/C not cooling We have had service plan with Service Experts (SE) for 6-8 years, guarantees same day service visit. I have been very pleased with service in that time, both promptness and repairs. Tech arrived within 2 hr window promised and called prior to confirm time. Tech tested 10 year old 4 ton heat pump, leaking from corroded coil in air handler, tech recharged unit with Freon but recommended at least replace coil (no charge except coolant). Sales rep Rudy Balderas presented option to replace coil ($4000) or new unit. Very friendly, not pushy. He answered all questions well. He recommended replace outside condenser and indoor blower/coil, since we had an older R-12 coolant heat pump, being phased out due to environmental regs. New unit options varied from SEER 15 unit for $8,000 to SEER 17.5 unit for $12,000. We chose more expensive unit because of $1,000 Lennox rebate, $300 Progress Energy rebate and 10 year unit warranty. SE will setup 6 month no interest payment plan with GE Capital at time of sale. Installed by very professional team of 2 techs from Lennox the next day. Unit very quiet, cools & heats well. Progress energy bill about $20-30/month lower. Lennox iComfort electronic thermostat, can be programmed & monitored over internet (if you have home WiFi). Called a few days after install after noticing condensation on the unit, tech came same day, no problem found (no charge) No service problems over last 4 months since install. Received Lennox rebate ($1,000) in 3 weeks Progress Energy rebate ($300) took 2 months, had to complete on line "Home Energy Check" and call both Progress Energy and SE once to follow through.
Description of Work: Day 1: Call for service, gave us appt same day (weekday) Service visit to evaluate A/C cooling poorly, leak test by tech, coil leaking Day 2: sales consultant gave estimate for repair or replace. Day 3: (7 hours) installed new Lennox XP21 4 ton heat pump outdoor condenser unit & indoor air handler (blower/coil) air handler base & manifold rebuilt new copper and PVC pipes new electronic/internet controlled iComfort thermostat old unit hauled off & cleanup tech walked us through operation

The salesman/ estimator promised new duct circuits in a hot, sun facing room that the installation workers could not perform due to the pitch of the roof and lack of access.Their was little communication between the salesman/ estimator and the workers who installed the radiant barrier. The workers did not show up on the day we arranged (I changed my plans to be at home that day). When they did finally arrive the next day we scheduled, they had the solid form of radiant barrier, whereas we had contracted for the spray- on form, which necessitated a third visit.

I had my package unit installed in 2003. Service Experts also replaced my 30 year old duct work in 2010. In the beginning (before they got large) I was very happy with the services I recieved from the company. Now I am not happy. The unit works fine but every time they come out they want to install something else for no less than $300. They have been out several times to 'fix' the duct work and it still does not seem to keep one side of the house cool/heated - this was not a problem before the work was done. Their solution was to move the thermostat - I told them no - fix the duct work! Seriously? I didn't have this problem BEFORE they changed out the duct work. I have a semi annual appointment today, made the appointment, took off the morning from work, even received the confirmation email that I indeed have an appointment - no show - no call. When I called to find out what happened they told me I didn't have an appointment. I gladly forwarded the confirmation email. This has happened twice before. Once I made an appointment for a Saturday so I would not have to take off of work, received a confirmation voice message the day before that I ended up having to play back for them because the scheduler called me a liar! Service Experts is an oxymoron and I am looking for another service provider today. Apparently they tried to grow faster than they were prepared to. I am still waiting from my schedulled maintenance.
Description of Work: Installed a package unit in 2003 and I have carried a service agreement with them since. They also replaced all of my duct work in 2010. Service Agreement since 2003.

Eventually, I chose to have an Ultraviolet Light System installed. They also discovered that mold had blocked the drainage system and they cleaned it out. The service technician was very polite and patient and explained all of the alternatives. I did not feel that he was pressuring me to buy anything.
Description of Work: I had a new air conditioning system installed by another local firm in September 2010 and was unable to get it serviced. I called Service Experts and signed a contract with them to check it out every six months. In September 2011, they checked it out and found a significant amount of mold growing on the exchange system in the attic. They showed me the mold and explained the alternatives.
