+ -1 moreThe unit itself ran good and quiet for about three months, then it started to make a horrible noise. I kept calling them and they would send someone out. They tried to fix it and it never got fixed. The owner came out and told me that it was normal. I said that wasn't normal. It was not good at all. He charged me $55 to change the filter and the outtake unit. I found out a few months down the road that he didn't put a new filter in, he took the old one out and left with it. I don't know if the price was good or not. I don't recommend them to anyone. The equipment has a 10 year warranty on it.

+ -1 moreThey responded quickly and were very proactive in getting the job done right. I called them in the morning and they came out the same day and were able to complete the job within two days.
Description of Work: They came out to recharge my AC and adjusted the vents to make sure the air was flowing properly. Came out the next day to replace a sensor.

+ -1 moreTech said he would be able to replace the unit ( and supply a crane, to lift condenser to third floor ) , the following day. We called a another company for a second opinion, who showed up the next day and repaired the unit for $250.00. (this was on a Saturday)
Description of Work: Air conditioning was not working. Tech came , inspected unit and said it would need to be replaced at a cost of$3,700 dollars.

Description of Work: I am a retiree who bought a house 3 years ago from another retiree who had central air installed by Promag in mid 2008 with supposedly a 10 year warranty on the unit provided Promag filled out the extended warranty on the internet. The unit failed recently after 5 1/2 years but I could not get the unit repaired under the 10 year wty.as Promag did not apply for the free extra 5 year wty! (Normal wty. is 5 years) As a result rather than repair it (least $1000 to $2000) I ended up buying the exact same unit for $950 less than Promag charged 5 1/2 years ago! I also got a 10 year wty. and the latest Freon 410A from the new contractor who filled out the extended warranty forms. I did not contact Promag about their shortcomings as I did not want to deal with them after the way they treated the previous retiree as far as warranty and excessive pricing and the way I lost a lot of money because the free extended warranty wasn't available to me because Promag failed to fill out some simple forms!

The serviceman who came out was very knowledgeable and professional. There was no pressure to buy or repair anything.

Description of Work: These people call constantly soliciting business. I have repeatedly asked them to stop, to no avail. They called here twice in the last hour. When I asked them to take this number off their list, they said no. I have told them I was not interested, and they continue to call several times a week. This tells me they have lousy business practices, and I would advise anyone not to do business with a company that operates this way. I wouldn't hire them to clean up after my dog.
