Description of Work: Completed one of two bedrooms and then never returned to complete second room. Our house was in disorder the entire time because everything had to be removed to accommodate the wood floor refinishing. After the first room was finished they stopped answering our calls. When we did get through, they promised to provide a schedule. We told them we had company coming this week and needed the work done in time for their arrival. No response. Have had to call another company to complete the work, which they did, at a lower price and better quality. Sorry but 4 star should be renamed 2 star. Also disappointed in Angies list on this recommendation.

Response from Four Star Flooring Inc.
John made several attempts to refinish the 2nd room for the [Member Name Removed]'s. The problem was their electrical box was located outside in an uncovered area and we were experiencing rainy weather frequently. John would have had to risk of possible electrocuting himself. We just couldnt run that risk and still be sure their second room was finished in time for their guests. If we didnt have time constraints, we could have waited for the weather and the circumstances to clear and would have been more than happy to complete the job. The [Member Name Removed]'s weren't out any expense, as we do not charge for refinishing until the job is complete. Again, it wasn't our intent not to complete their sanding job, but not at the risk of John's health.

This is an "A" company. From the time they came and gave us a price to the end when all work was done they even cleaned up, good company, over all.
Description of Work: They came to my home and removed the carpet in my office and replaced it with a wood flooring, they did it in just 2 hours. then they sent over the guys with carpet for the rest of the house. They installed 1236 feet of carpet in one day. This has heavy furniture which they moved and replaced, a very good job. Antbody who wants flooring done use this company. The price they give you and the time was just what we paid for. Family own company and I called three other companies and wouldn't even think of useing them.

John of Four Star Flooring was punctual and very professional. He started on time and did an excellent job. He pulled up baseboards and was able to reinstall the same boards. He pulled up and discarded existing carpet and pad. When we had some issues with the HOA over the noise barrier he provided us with the technical data showing that the product was quieter than cork. The floors turned out fantastic. The only down side was the amount of time required. John did most of the work by himself and took approximately ten days to finish the job.
Description of Work: We had hardwood floors installed in four bedrooms and the living room of our 2400 sq ft condo. Noise barrier also had to be installed to the comply with the HAO rules and regulations. We also had the baseboards pulled up and reinstalled.
